Are Democrats finally realizing the oppressively futility of many of their COVID policies? We can only hope that policies like these will never be forced upon us again.
From The Epoch Times. Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer admitted over the weekend that Democrat leadership in the state imposed more COVID-19 lockdown measures than were actually needed.

In a sit-down with CNN’s Chris Wallace on March 12, Whitmer was asked about Michigan’s tough lockdown policies …
“There were moments where, you know, we had to make some decisions that in retrospect don’t make a lot of sense, right? If you went to the hardware store, you could go to the hardware store but we didn’t want people to be congregating around the garden supplies,” Whitmer said.
“People said ‘oh, she’s outlawed seeds.’ It was February in Michigan, no one was planting anyway,” she continued. “But that being said, some of those policies I look back and think, you know, maybe that was a little more than what we needed to do.”
On April 9, 2020, Whitmer’s office published a list on the state’s website that included items Michigan officials deemed “not necessary to sustain or protect life,” and thus could not be sold during the height of the pandemic. …
Just weeks after Whitmer imposed the statewide controversial ban, the order was rescinded due to widespread backlash …

Heavenly Father, I pray that You would give Governor Gretchen Whitmer eyes to see and ears to hear, that she would recognize the door of escape that You have provided: the one that leads to life, light and liberty. Help her escape from the door of death, destruction and demonic activity. Thank You, Father. Amen
Speaking as a Michigander, we notice that Gov. Whitmer said that she and her administration didn’t want people congregating around gardening supplies, and they also had a problem with people congregating in churches; nevertheless, at the same time her administration had no problem with folks congregating in the state’s strip clubs and liquor stores. It’s something that makes you go “Hmmmm . . . .”
Also, some home gardeners do indeed plant seeds indoors in seed-starting kits in February so that plants will be easier to transplant outdoors later. She was clearly overstepping her authority, hence the backlash from citizens.

I amend my first post; Gov. Whitmer did include bars and liquor stores in her 20 people per 1000 feet restriction in her
April 2020 mandate. I apologize for the inaccuracy; my bad.
No one can “take” freedoms away, you would have to “give” them away! In Ohio my church remained open and we gained many new members from closed churches. Our governor closed schools but we still fed school children 5 days a week, with them getting 3 days worth on Friday, to include Saturday and Sunday. It seems like the sun was shining most days in 2020 making up for the fear put out across our country by government! Some Governors and joe biden used this time to attempt to become dictators, but most of us, though a little more cautious and way more prayerful used this time to minister to family and friends! FATHER GOD please send laborers to Governor Whitmer for salvation! Let her know just how much YOU love her and let that knowledge of YOUR love for her lead her to repentance and salvation in JESUS NAME!
