After the results of the November election, I wrote an article about the prophets who came under attack for predicting President Trump’s second term. Many of these who prophesied were men of God with character and a proven track record of accuracy. With the recent results following January 6, a well-known prophet by the name of Jeremiah Johnson, as well as others, publicly apologized for getting it wrong.
Because of recent online chaos and misinformation, I made a choice to pull back from my social media time and focus on the Lord. It had been a while, when yesterday I logged into my Facebook to see a post from Jeremiah. What I read shocked me. He wrote a lengthy post about the aftermath of his apology. He said, “I expected to be called a false prophet, but I never expected to receive death threats.” He mentioned receiving more that 500 hate emails calling him a traitor.
I was horrified reading this. The absolute worst of it is a majority of these emails came from Christians. I couldn’t wrap my mind around it. In November, a Christian group demanded he apologize. In January, he apologized and was threatened by other Christians. It was at this point, my heart was so grieved, that I logged back out. I’m not even sure that I can find the right words while writing this, and I may take some heat for this article, but I feel it must be said.
Men have trained, or can train, every kind of animal or bird that lives and every kind of reptile and fish, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is always ready to pour out its deadly poison. Sometimes it praises our heavenly Father, and sometimes it breaks out into curses against men who are made like God. And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Dear brothers, surely this is not right! Does a spring of water bubble out first with fresh water and then with bitter water? Can you pick olives from a fig tree, or figs from a grape vine? No, and you can’t draw fresh water from a salty pool. (Jas 4:7-12)
After reading his post, I sat quietly before God and considered how He must feel seeing his church/children so divided. I thought about how Jeremiah’s apology required the utmost humility and integrity. We need prophetic integrity. The prophetic has been lacking such character and this is why people do not take it seriously. I’ve found people turn to prophecy for three reasons.
- To know the heart of God and obey.
- To hear only what they want to hear.
- To hear so they can prove themselves right or prove someone wrong.
Only number 1 is the correct response.
There is not only a spiritual battle in the nation right now, but the response to Jeremiah sadly reveals a problem we Christians face, and that is the war for our words. Maybe you haven’t written hate messages, but maybe you’ve spoken harsh words over your family, neighbors, or people with different politics. I have family members with political and religious differences who like to debate Every time they see me. I confess it’s been difficult for me at times. I believe we all have struggles in our walk and with our words. God’s Word admonishes us to control our tongues. In fact, it says if we can control our tongues, self control in other areas will be easier: Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way. (Jas 3:2)
There is not only a spiritual battle in the nation right now, but also, sadly, even in the Church. We are called first and foremost to be sons and daughters of God: So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” (2 Cor 5:20)
The word “ambassador” means that we are His representatives. We represent Jesus Christ here on earth. We speak for him. How does it look to the lost when they see us ripping each other apart with our words? How are we representing Jesus when we are typing up hate emails, engaging in Twitter/Facebook wars and debates?
People without Jesus should look to us and say, “I want what you have.” What we have is Jesus, reflected in our lives. Instead, they’re seeing bitterness, hatred, and division. Why would they want Jesus, if we are not representing him correctly? If we aren’t careful, our words can damage our testimony of Jesus: Respond gently when you are confronted and you’ll defuse the rage of another. Responding with sharp, cutting words will only make it worse. Don’t you know that being angry can ruin the testimony of even the wisest of men? (Prv 15:1,2 TPT)
For the whole Law [concerning human relationships] is complied with in the one precept, You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself. But if you bite and devour one another [in partisan strife], be careful that you [and your whole fellowship] are not consumed by one another. (Gal 5:14,15 AMP-C)
Church, when we attack each other in this manner, we are putting ourselves in danger. Later in this chapter Paul lists the works of the flesh: Now the doings (practices) of the flesh are clear (obvious): they are immorality, impurity, indecency, Idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger (ill temper), selfishness, divisions (dissensions), party spirit (factions, sects with peculiar opinions, heresies). (Gal 5:19,20)
What we are seeing in these attacks and division is not of God. This is the work of the flesh. The work of the Spirit is this: But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge]. (Gal. 5:22,23)
Did you notice that the fruit of the Spirit brings change? I invite you to examine yourself before God. What fruit are your words producing? Are they producing hope, faithfulness, goodness, and courage? These are things that produce life and change. Or are they producing division, bitterness, rage, strife, and heresies? These things produce death. What we speak will produce life or death, the choice is ours: Sharp words cut like a sword, but words of wisdom heal. (Prv 12:18)
Did you know there is a connection between what you speak and your heart condition? Jesus had a lot to say about the words we speak.
A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart. (Lk 6:45)
Don’t you understand yet?” Jesus asked. “Anything you eat passes through the stomach and then goes into the sewer. But the words you speak come from the heart—that’s what defiles you. For from the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander. These are what defile you. (Mt 15:16-19)
Let’s ask the Lord to show us where we can make improvements in our words or to help us in areas where you feel we struggle to control your tongue.
I know this article will not apply to every Christian and that’s okay. After the fallout with the election and President Trump, one thing has become clear and that is idolatry. I’m not calling him an idolater. We all agree he has done very well for Christian liberty, pro-life, and much more. The problem lies within us believers. Many made an idol out of a man whom God used to accomplish much good. Many likened him to a savior, expecting him to save America. I’ve seen the memes with my own eyes. This is where we have committed idolatry. This is a heart issue. There is only one Savior and his name is Jesus Christ. If we put our hope in someone in office to save America, or a political party, we are wrong. Jesus Christ is our living Hope: For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. (Rev 19:10)
I leave you with these final thoughts.
It’s all about Jesus. The articles we write, our lives, why we do what we do. It’s all about Jesus. Prophecy is to testify of the only one found worthy, Jesus Christ. Our life, who we are, what we do, is for his glory and not ours. Let me make myself clear, I do not believe God is done with America. I still believe awakening will come to this nation. I still pray for this nation and leaders and will continue. I am still praying for President Trump and will continue. I still believe in prophets and prophetic people. I still believe we will see corruption exposed, because God is a God of justice. However, God is a jealous God. We can and should never give glory to a political party, person, or movement. When we see justice and awakening, all glory belongs to the Lord.
I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to anyone else, nor share my praise with carved idols. (Is 42:8)
My plea in writing this is if we want change, we must show we are changed as well. If we act just as the world does, there’s no difference. No one will come to salvation that way. Church, let’s represent Jesus not just with our lips, but with our lives.

I agree 100% with your premise; however my concern is that there are those who consider others “prophets” today when little of what they appear to prophesy is true or comes to fruition.
This is a part of what I, personally, take issue with regarding the charismatic movement in particular. Certainly, speaking in tongues, and prophesying are gifts; however, when anyone – any human being – states that “God told me to tell you this or that…” that is automatically a red flag. If they were to say, “I believe that God told ME such and such a thing…” that is a different thing altogether.
When Christians speak in tongues and prophesy in the appropriate context that is pleasing to God. When such believers use their own gifts to shame or castigate other believers, I believe all Christians should take exception to that, and the fact that few of us are called to be teachers.
James 3: Most of you shouldn’t become teachers. That’s because you know that those of us who teach will be held more accountable.”
God will yet show himself strong on behalf of believers. There remains a “remnant” who still believe this. I would rather be thought a fool for believing prophets “who prophesied were men of God with character and a proven track record of accuracy” than stand in line with the doubtful and unbelieving. I had fainted unless I believed I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
I love when I receive confirmation. I was led to read James about a week ago, and my first thought was oh oh. I have asked God to examine me, and repented. After that, the Holy Spirit quieted my tongue. I look to the word of God, as He leads me and directs me in His word. To God be the glory! Let us smother ourselves in His word as we pray and seek our Lord and savior. I pray that God will bring us back to His word, leaning not on our own understanding, but acknowledging Him in all of our ways, then He will direct our paths. I also pray asking the Holy Spirit to give us wisdom and understanding, directing us. The anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Father God forgive us in this moment and direct our hearts back to you. forgive us for not trusting you! Oh how we need you! I thank You that you will never leave us or forsake us, your love is everlasting. I put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. I armor up as in Ephesians putting on the breast plate of righteousness, the helmet of salvation, I shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel. I take the shield of faith to quench the fiery darts of the wicked one, and the sword of the Spirit. Let us open our mouths boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel. Father God thank you for all my brothers and sisters as we encourage one another. Bless them and keep them in peace as we keep our minds on you.
Our words are a creative force that changes the atmosphere around us
We are either speaking blessings or curses. We either agree with what God says and speak back to Him – sharp two edged sword or we agree with the enemy. Thereby give one or the other our power. Jesus said after the temptation in the wilderness that the prince of this world iscoming and he has nothing in me. As I understand this statement meant He did not agree with anything the devil said about Him We should not agree with what the enemy says about us. Our identity is hidden in Christ Jesus.
These so called prophets were glorifying themselves not only exagerating but out and out lying, claiming to hear from God and saying Trump would be inaugurated. Instead they should have done as some and say keep praying for a miracle and if he doesnt win, it means God has a plan and this is part of it, keep the faith. People are cinfused, frustrated, hurt and angry not to mention extremely disappointed. Death threats are wrong especially from Christians. But these false prophets should never be taken seriously again. They lied, pure and simple because of selfish ambition and pride and we all know how God feels about pride. So fellow Christians, forgive, move on and keep the faith, God’s not finished and He wins. Read the last chapter of Revelation. As far as President Trump goes, he’s not finished either, stay tuned.
In repentance and rest is our salvation, in quietness and trust is our strength.

I think that what Gloria says is accurate, but I do think she leaves out one thing. I don’t think that people idolize Trump so much as America itself. What we are talking about here is the demise of an entire nation, given over into the hands of Communism. This is no small thing as history shows by 100 million deaths at the hands of past Communism worldwide. So even though I agree 100% that we have no right to treat one another sinfully, it is more than understandable that people are reacting in an over-the-top manner. If God is indeed giving America over to a wicked and corrupt government, we really need to be strengthening one another so that we can overcome in the coming tempest.
Thank you for the teaching. As to words and what flows from our mouths…I believe we need to take a lesson from YESHUA, HIMSELF…HE saw prayer as a communicative relationship with the FATHER, and HE only did what the FATHER told him to do. Perhaps, we should not take our list to the FATHER, but rather we should inquire of HIM what is on HIS heart and then pray the Word over that issue. FATHER GOD has a perfect plan and is well able to direct us to that end…we just need to listen and obey. Listening prayer is more important than any other kind.
I have never experienced the amount, intensity, and duration of prayer for the nation and revival. I have never seen the number of denominations of believers join together in repentance, prayer and petition with no thought of their differences. President Trump has supported Israel, protected religious freedom, been the most prolife president, used the name of Jesus repeatedly, and claimed that we are a nation under God. Some of us have prayed for a Christian president for years. God gave us a believer for a president. Did all Christians support Pres. Trump as he supported them? Shamefully, no, they did not. I know with certainty that President Trump was very good for, and to, the church.
God does love the nations and speaks of nations from Genesis all the way through to Revelation 21. I will be happy to point out only a few: Gen:17:4, Ps. 33:12, Prov. 14:34, Ps.96:3, Eze. 36:23, Hag.2:7, Matt.28:19, I Pet. 2:9, Rev.7:9, Rev. 21:24, among others. God acknowledges and loves nations and desires them to know Him. America is the only nation with religious freedom and the furtherance of the gospel as its founding goals. We should remember those goals, return to them, and try to achieve the destiny that God planned for America. Are you aware that many Christians in many other nations are alarmed with the extreme danger that America now faces with the new administration and their Marxist agenda? Christians in other nations are praying for America and the American church.
No one was asking VP Pence to disobey the Constitution. The election process of several states WAS unconstitutional. PA, in fact, disobeyed a direct order from the Supreme Court in their election process. There were real problems in PA, WI,GA, and MI. There is no date set in the Constitution to certify the presidential election. More time was needed to investigate the great deal of evidence of fraud and illegality instead of rushing through the certification. Illegal voting should not be accepted or certified. We should insist on honest elections should we not? You can see what the Constitution says: Article II, Section I, and Amendment XII.
I am so very thankful for the freedoms that God has given us, and the Constitution upholds. I am so thankful that we had Pres. Trump for four years. I ask for wisdom and discernment for the church. I again pray that the church will be revived, the culture rebuilt, and the republic be restored. Please help us through these most difficult times as the godless, corrupt, Marxists try to silence and intimidate Christians. Father God, please help us!

Well said, great choice of bible verses, which is absolutely what is needed! the issue is with people not reading the word prayerfully in their own free time, I say prayerfully as we have got to really absorb it and ask God to help us apply it to our lives, not just a quick read like the newspaper. Facebook and TV are huge distractions and time killers. We must Prioritize our time and make time for prayer and the word but after 2-3 hours of spiritual drunkenness on entertainment and facebook, and snapping selfies and such, the desire for prayer and the word might be diminished. God showed me that years ago. I notice many single Christian women even those who talk the talk obsessed with taking their own selfies, such vanity. The Holy Spirit called me out on that.
Father we pray for the church to get our priorities straight, father our nation became overrun with corruption in part by A prayer less word starved worldly generation. Father i pray that you would deep conviction on the church regarding eternal priorities, and help the church break free from worldly time wasting addictions, Father remind the church we are in the world but not of the world and are not to be conforming ourselves to the world. Father Bring fasting back to the pulpit and convict ministers to set the example, we read Jeremiah 23:11 “For both prophet and priest are polluted; Even in My house I have found their wickedness,” declares the Lord.
How can ministries and profits be a clean vessel for the Lord to work through when many are trapped themselves. I am convinced this is part of the reason the churches were closed during COVID as many are attending church but not attending and serving Jesus. Father forgive and cleanse your people and bring true revival and good fruit from your church.Not fingers that point at others but conviction over our own lives and the gifts of self control and perseverance to stay before you until we are healed from our addictions and having true fellowship with you. We thank and praise you for hearing our prayer and acting on it in Jesus name.
I was never a Trump supporter but I am surprised that the hate now shown by some Trump supporters toward people like Jeremiah Johnson comes as a surprise to some believers. It shouldn’t.
This hate lays bare what anyone should have always known was behind Trumpism (which strangely many Christians can’t see even now). To begin with, Trump himself from his rhetoric and many abuses does not display love but hate (particularly for his opponents, the opposite of the true test of Christian love). So I am not surprised that hate has seeped down to some of his followers. I don’t care what good works somebody does. If there is no love, it’s all for nothing. Paul says this clearly in Corinthians. Even if you give everything to the poor, get burnt as a martyr, speak in a thousand tongues, it’s nothing if you have no love. I am sorry but Trump doesn’t manifest love (he actually does worse at this compared to almost any American president you can think of, even those with zero profession of faith). Not even the things Christians evangelicals hail him for (Israel, prolife etc policies) can really compensate for that (as St Paul clearly says regarding good works with no love)
SCRIPTURE also says if you do not love your brother who you can see, how can you claim to love God who you cannot see? It also says, if you hate your brother, you don’t really know God and are still in the darkness. So Trump’s personal relationship with God is also at real stake (sadly he also does not believe he needs to repent)
To my evangelical Trump supporting brothers, I say if you really loved Trump, you would be more worried about the state of his soul than him winning the WH. What after all does a man gain in gaining the whole world (power, the WH, money etc) but to lose his soul?
Also Trump has deluded believers so much that they think its the left (and the press) that lies while they are the ones saying the truth. Actually Trump is the biggest liar here but his fans are so misled they even say unbelievable things like “no, he never lies” (even Kayleigh said this).
To make such a blatant false claim, makes you a liar also. Scripture says that why accuse your brother of having a log in his eye when you have one in yours? It says that makes you a hypocrite…
Therefore the right have no moral authority to chastise the left and the press of lying when they pretend away or cover up for Trump’s numerous lies.
These lies stretched on for 4 years, culminating in the deadly Jan 6 capitol incident (due to election fraud claims which are proving to be false everyday). Keep in mind that Trump already had a notorious past of lying before the WH. Nothing really changed when he came in to the WH. His supporters say he is a baby Christian but one doesn’t see anything significant difference then and now.
(Just to add, his own sister confirmed he is a liar in a taped conversation)
These reasons convince me that the Trump movement isn’t the godly one his supporters claim, looking at the lies and hypocrisy. Satan is the father of lies. Also the failed prophesies of his win is final confirmation to further prove this point.
The Democrats won a sweep (WH, Senate, House), the opposite of what ALL the prophets said. What could be a more clearer repudiation of such prophets by God?
Keep in mind that God says that he hates prophets who say “Thus saith the Lord” when the Lord did not speak to them.
By letting the Democrats win in such a humiliating way to the Reps and the prophets, God is signaling that these were never his prophets even when they correctly predicted a Trump win in 2016.
God warns in Deuteronomy against following false prophets. One test is when prophecy does not come to pass. Another test is when the prophecy does pass but the teachings are false.
The Trump prophets are notorious for promoting Christian nationalism even though Jesus said his kingdom is not of this world.
I don’t hate Trump but pray for him (not to win the WH but to have a changed heart which is more essential)
I understand and appreciate your honest opinion Xavier, and while i did vote for Pres. Trump in both elections, being a biblebased Christian i noticed some of the issues you mentioned, And not condoning them or arguing with you whatsoever but am reminded of the verse that man looks on the outward appearance God looks on the heart. Revelation also says that Cold is better than lukewarm. Yes our outward fruit matters, it is our proof but a seedling tree does not bear fruit for years. Trump was a billionaire playboy for years until he met his current wife who along with his daughter who married a Jew helped encourage Trump to pursue God more seriously. From what i understand Trump may have been born/labeled a christian regarding the religion claimed by his family but possibly more broad religion based than bible based hence some immaturity and arrogance. I did see a clip of him recently at what appeared to be a born again Christian church service, but many churches are not what they should be either and have raised generations of compromisers instead of true disciples, church is not the all in the all, it’s our personal pursuit of God through prayer and the word that matters most, I believe Melania is catholic so his beliefs might lean more Catholicism than bible based. As one who has noticed his shortcomings as i am sure most of us have, I hope you and majority of us here have earnestly prayed for him because the adversary wants our president wants our nation and in some ways an immature professing christian who takes a firm stand for national issues as an ally of Israel and against national sins like abortion is better than one who has represented a political party for decades that has condoned abortion, and we saw him serve as VP under Obama who showed no favor whatsoever to Israel. Those things matter on a national level probably far more than his personal failings as he is our President not a pastor. So i see serious issues with both parties and both candidates and can not condone the obvious issues in either, but can only join with you and others here to pray for them as again the adversary wants our nation, i have never seen such a huge political divide as i have seen recently with the democrats openly calling for socialism, and now with the billions in special interest spending exposed (the fault of both parties) we can see that billions of tax dollars were squandered for generations that could have helped Americans so we can in some ways understand the frustrations from the innercity populations but nothing can be solved by complaining or protesting alone, our leaders truly need our prayers and our bible based faith declarations spoken over our nation.
As for kings and leaders God wrought deliverance for Israel through Cryus who was not a Jew, and God also Said he placed Nebuchadnezzar in his position, and Nebuchadnezzar ultimately confessed that God alone is God and can humble those who walk in pride, so he can and will humble our professing Christian political leaders if we ask Him to as Nebuchadnezzar was an idolator until he encountered the true God of Israel.
Father we join together as as believers who can agree to disagree on our own opinions knowing and agreeing that YOU Father have the final say, and You have your written word which we pray that you would move on our political leaders to Prayerfully read And live by and recognize it as the spiritual law (not merely a guideline) for making decisions for our nation. Father we pray for our church the Cold and lukewarm church, bring conviction Lord get to the root of the problem which is lack of focused Time spent in the word and prayer. Father raise up ministries and true prophets who have been genuinely anointed by you and are truly concerned more with True discipleship Than merely professors of a sinner’s prayer, father convict the billionaire gospel superstars, and straighten out their and the priorities of our local pastors and churches To put you truly first in our lives and be a clean vessel preaching the true and full gospel and true discipleship. In Jesus name we confess our own Personal failings and come in agreement with your word over our politicians our government our churches, heal our land Lord in Jesus name we pray and thank you that we know you hear us and our small prayer her truly does have effect.

That really spoke to me! How dare I put my trust/hope in a man or a political party. Of course God will not share His glory with anyone else! That just blew right by me until you pointed it out. Forgive me, Lord, for looking for a victory in DJT and in the political system; may my hope and trust always be in You, Lord. Please show me what that looks like, show me Your way. Your will be done, Father.
Amen amen and amen this is exactly what I’ve been saying after the Lord gently corrected my attitude and words Lord by the power of the Holy Spirit may You so convict our hearts our attitudes and words so that before an unkind word leaves our mouths we remember that Jesus taught us to love not only our friends but those we consider enemies as well and may we as the apostle Paul says in Ephesians be kind and considerate to one another forgiving each other just as in Christ Jesus He has forgiven us may we think about and speak of these things whatever is true honorable right pure lovely honorable excellent or praiseworthy so that the lost world may be drawn to Your light and glory may the words of our mouths bring You honor the honor you do deserve.
Gloria, thank you for your awesome message. I could clearly hear the Holy Spirit touching (and tugging!) at my heart as I read it. Yes, our “salvation” is not in horses or chariots (Psalm 20:7) or in man. It is in our Lord alone. And yet, our Lord (in whom our salvation is based) tells us to pray for those in authority — the ones in whom our salvation is not based! How interesting! It’s all to say this — that Jesus is Lord, and He will not give His glory to anyone or anything else! We obey Him in prayer as His word tells us, and say a rousing “Amen” to our prayers!
This is a very timely and accurate word! Holy Spirit is clearly speaking this “now word” to the body of Messiah. The question is..Will we be quiet long enough to receive and heed it?

Pray for God’s will for America. Has he not stated it and does it not have to do with a fallible man named Donald J. Trump? I had to decide about it in 2016.

None of what’s happened has caught God by surprise (maybe it did us, the Believers) and I say God had not finished what He is going to do. I believe the prophets when they said God was going to allow Trump a second term. He might not have meant this election . God’s ways are higher than our wants & He will give him another term. It might be election 2024. It might be with a new major party forming coming out of this. Personally I hope that’s what will happen. I’m sick of the whole bunch I’m Washington , Republicans & Democrats, with the exception of a very few , Jesus only had 12 disciples & look what came from them. Trump would be lucky if he could get 12 real Conservative Republicans . There are so many turncoats in the Republican Party.So we just need to keep praying & expecting God tk bring on that second term for our President . He is still mt President .

Donna, his apology was beautifully, humbly written… he was covered by those in authority over him, and I think he’s fine and well supported by his ministry and community. It was just devastating to see the “Body of Christ” (if the people that spoke hatred and venom could actually be real Christians? not sure…) attack him like that – unfathomable really. I think his apology would be helpful to read for the perhaps tens/100s of thousands of Christians who were strongly led to believe that Trump would DEFINITELY serve a 2nd term, as it explains how he came to that interpretation of what he felt God was showing him, and where he failed. Great message! Please read Jeremiah 17:5-9. I believe, this is just me. When I see how many abortions have taken place and the many other sins that control our nation. I believe its judgment time. And judgment starts in the house of God first. I am not saying all Christians are guilty. I have gotten plenty of email from organizations that are Interceeding for such crimes. But, are we the (church) doing the same? So if we the church have to go to the wood shed, let’s go. There is so much love there. I have been there! I learned there. I believe fear kept many Christians trusting in man. If we can believe this and confess it, we can be free. Let’s learn from the history of Israel. Idolatry was the one sin that kept them under bondage. And the ungodly Kings led them to this sin. Father forgive us for thinking we as Christians have any right to threaten anyone for being wrong. Heal our hearts from this sin, ABBA, I pray for all Christians, may we all turn our hearts back to our, “First Love” You Oh LORD.

I do not believe that the prophets failed; I believe that people failed. The courts, Congress, the media, VP Pence all failed because of lies and deception from the enemy, lack of courage and strength, and/or fearing man more than fearing God. However, I am praying that God will use man’s failure and the devil’s interference to still revive the church, rebuild our culture, and restore our republic.
Just as the ten spies who gave a bad report kept the people from obeying God and going into the Promised Land as they were told to do by God, God does not always get His way because of the failure of man. I do NOT believe that it was God’s will for Hitler to do what he did, but the church in Germany allowed it. Not God’s will, but man’s failure. I am trying to forgive as I am told to do, and trying not to get distracted from the goal by questioning or blaming. I am still going to listen to the prophets. I believe that God speaks through the prophets sometimes as to His will, what He wants, and sometimes as to what is a definite that WILL happen with a certainty.

Delois, the Bible also says not to believe every spirit but test them because many false prophets have gone out in the world. We are also told that deception from prophets in latter days would be so strong that even some of the elite would fall away. (elite = fervent believers)
As we speak, the prophets are already wrong about the Senate and the House which were taken by the Democrats. Biden has already been passed by the Electoral College and Congress but the prophets are still counting on Jan 20, for some miracle for Trump to be sworn in. It’s ridiculous because even if he gets sworn in, how does he govern with both Senate and House in Democrat hands? Is this the landslide the prophets promised?
I don’t know how anyone can reasonably argue that Pence lacked courage to do the right thing. There was nothing else he could unless one wanted him to disobey the constitution,the very law he swore by God’s name to uphold.
Strange that Trump suporting Christians usually make a show of being on the side of the constitution but when Pence follows it, he gets hit for it (including being called traitor and threatened with hanging)
You don’t support the constitution only when it is in your favor but also when it’s not.
I haven’t seen anywhere the prophets said Trump would get his 2nd term in 2024. They all said 2 continuous terms with no interruptions. They also said Biden would not win. Also the prophesy is not conditional. Katt Kerr for example (she says she goes to heaven frequently) says that Trump’s victory is written in heaven and the angels even right now are celebrating Trump’s victories.
My view is that The image of the church has been marred by the Trump era, not advanced.
First due to the failed prophesies which opens the truth to ridicule. Then the fanatical support of Trump and promotion of Christian nationalism, even though Jesus said his kingdom is not is not of this world.
This wrongly equates the church and America as if they rise and fall together.
But Jesus will come to save the church, not the nations, America included.
The destiny of the church is not the same as the destiny of the nations.

It has really grieved me to see God’s children attack and publicly shame their brothers and sisters in Christ. How this must hurt the Father’s heart. We must walk in love and avoid strife if we are to be a unified force against our common enemy, Satan.
I believe the area of the prophetic is a challenge. There is a reason the Lord tells us to test all things; hold fast what is good(I Thessalonians 5:28). I have 2 very good friends, humble, servants of the Lord, who have walked through much together. She is more engaged than he in the political realm. I have prayed with her against a false presidency. I will continue to pray this. He had a dream in which the demonic enemy was confronted in the Name of Jesus and he withered away and there was an explosion of truth and light. I will continue to pray for light and truth…In 1987 I had a son born who was microcephalic – severely brain damaged. We struggled and prayed for his healing, embracing God’s Word on healing through the stripes that Jesus bore, believing he would be healed. We also took the position of the 3 young men in Babylon as they headed to the fiery furnace. We believed He would heal, we knew He could, but even if He didn’t, we would worship Him. Many had dreams he would be healed – they saw him walking, playing, healthy. When Stephen was 4 1/2, I gave birth to our youngest – another son. I was able to hold Stephen in the hospital that afternoon as my husband and other children visited. Stephen had not been healed – he had seizures, couldn’t move voluntarily, and was really a sweet little guy caught in a body which didn’t work. But he had a family who loved him and a new little brother. Later, while at his grandma’s house – a place he was comfortable in – he quietly slipped away to be with the Lord. His fight was over. I questioned the dreams which indicated he would be healed and, frankly, I had no solid answers…I knew I never felt wrong in embracing God’s Word for healing. I knew that God had worked on Stephen’s behalf, taking him where sin and sickness would not touch him again. A burden lifted from my heart…All that to say I don’t why on all these prophesies and dreams from God fearing people. God tells us to test – May He bless those seeking truth and be our help in these days. And, yes, may we see His justice.
I have no animus towards Jeremiah or others who claim to speak prophetic words for God. I would only ask him and others to consider taking a serious look at their theology about this gift. If God’s Word is not enough, if we think we need to hear something “extra” or “current”, then we might as well carry our Bible in loose-leaf notebook form. Prophets of old served a specific function as God was progressively revealing his revelation. Now, the canon is complete. Let’s not seek to add to or take away from it.

However , the One to Whom our eyes need to be focused on is the One Who has been ruling since BEFORE the foundation of the world. He is King. We have nothing to fear. Long term , we know the outcome. I’m so glad you wrote this! An absolutely crucial topic for right now, if our nation is ever to heal – and indeed crucial for every day, if we are truly to obey, and to Go, and make disciples, teaching all things He has commanded.
God has given us words to communicate with each other. He IS the Word! But in attempting to be like God, we have defiled both His Word and His reputation!
Jesus, our Redeemer and Wonderful Counselor, is the Word made flesh!
He has commanded us to have no other Gods before Him, for He is the One who has brought us out of the land of Egypt, OUT of the house of bondage.
His Word is life. He IS love. He has set before us life and death, and has commanded us to choose life!
So, if we are His ambassadors of reconciliation, you are so right that our words must be spoken in love. They must give life. And they must be full of grace and truth, as His are.
…seems like the surest way to do that is to speak His very Word, as Jesus did in Mt 4 and Lk 4

Dearest Family of God, just because a prophetic voice relinquished his faith while it was being tested, doesn’t mean we should. God has clearly spoken!!! But the enemy wants us to think it’s over so we will stop interceding. I implore is all, don’t give up!! Remain steadfast with faith!! A prophetic dream from Dutch Sheets, “Give Him 15”, Giant hunting season is from Dec.14-Jan.20!! This is God’s instructions to keep using our faith and authority in Jesus to intercede for Trumps four more years and God’s purposes for this to prevail. Here’s the thing, if our faith is in a person it will fail, but if it’s on the firm foundation of Jesus, no amount of opposition will stop us!!

Gloria on idolatry if truly there are people that worship Trump. Let’s pray that they will not see Trump as The Savior, but rather, as one The Savior needs to use in order for America to fulfill our God-given destiny.

If we are held accountable for “every idle word” so are the prophets, but even more so. If they don’t believe their own words why should anybody else. There is a great responsibility in saying , “Thus saith the Lord”.
They should NOT have turned back “in the day of battle”( and called it “humility”).The war is STILL raging and many have lost heart because of their premature capitulation to the Evil one.The punishment will be that their voice will be greatly diminished and their influence will wane.

A timely and well written article. Paul said in Philippians 2 that his greatest joy was to see his brothers and sisters preferring one another. Seeing one another better than themselves. God says in His Word touch not My anointed. I am astonished that so-called Christians treated him in such a way. Are they always perfect in what they say? A prophet is accountable to God and to His other prophets, not to them. What were they expecting, and how do they know he was wrong? I have seen reports from experts of at least half a dozen different ways the votes were corrupted by machines and election officials—enough to show that Trump was actually elected by a landslide. The “experts” and authorities in first century Judea also proved Jesus was not the Messiah and He died as a criminal so no one should believe in Him … but God hadn’t played His part yet!
Maybe everybody should wait and see what God’s going to do about all this.
I think Jesus’ disciples were really disappointed and not able to understand what happened either, but when Sunday came it was a different story.
Christians were praying to drain the swamp, expose corruption and establish justice and righteousness. Well, that requires quite a process. Much must be, and is being, revealed. The Bible says the glory of the Lord will cover the earth as the waters cover the seas, so wait for it! I believe there awaits us a great revival / awakening. None of this stops God from bringing in a great harvest of souls for the Kingdom. Thy will be done on earth, Lord, as it is in Heaven!

On one small point, which I am mentioning to help the body: factions are necessary, according to the Word written by Paul in 1 Cor. 11:18-19. By factions, we learn who is acceptable to God by his teachings. When we meet controversy, it should incentivize us to seek the truth from the Scriptures. We ought to take the Berean approach to the holy words. The problem we have in understanding the Bible is in all the doctrinal strongholds we’ve received, and we don’t even recognize them,because we have dearly embraced them.
There’s no fear in love or in seeking the truth from God’s Word alone,tearing down whatever we’ve believed that prevents us from understanding all of His words in their context. Our own strongholds block the way; i.e., anything that exalts itself about what God is saying. It’s ahrd to tear down strongholds. Paul spent years in the desert doing just that. And he boldly admitted he didn’t look to any man for what he learned.
One other point: it seems to me that the church as a whole has not understood that we are divided by the enemy’s deceptions. He knows what the Scriptures say, and he twists and manipulates them to confuse and divide the church. This is why God is calling us to repentance: to believe His words and not the teachings and traditions of men. The rabbis in Jesus’ time had sinned in that they were not studying God’s words, but the words of other rabbis, as the Jews have done to this day. The Talmud is a library of various ideas, and many are blasphemous.
Jesus said, we live by every word of God, but we’re accustomed to reading His words like a novel while every word of God is packed with the truth that would set us free from falsehoods. Since January 2010 I’ve been writing while seeking the truth of the Scriptures, pressing into the Holy Spirit for revelations. It wasn’t my idea. It was His command, or I would be presumptuous. I didn’t know where writing would lead me, but it took me from the truth to the mysteries to Revelation and Daniel. I understand and can see where others are in error–even famous teachers. These things can’t be figured out. They must be revealed.
The light of the scriptures that confuse us expose the strongholds that prevent us from believing them. Now God is calling us to truth, faith, and holiness, and we must repent.
I needed this word today. I have recently had a divisive encounter online with my own daughter and her husband in front of my friends on social media. We had not openly discussed our differences of beliefs, but there it was documented for the world to see!! I expressed fear and reacted from a human response, not through the eyes and love and heart of God in Jesus. As a result, I am deeply grieving over a sense division and loss in my relationship with God and my daughter.
I want to pray first for my own sins regarding this subject and then for all of us to unify in the Lord in this… Today, I come to God for repentance and ask You Lord to forgive me for putting things, idols, and people of this world ahead of You and Your kingdom. Lord please unite my heart, mind, and soul with You in Jesus and cause me to love and obey You, and love others in my words and actions. Please take my fears and unbeliefs and fill me with Your Holy Spirit and cause me to be led by Your Holy Spirit. In the Name of Jesus, I earnestly pray this oh God.

My daughter has differing political and religious views. Everytime we have tried to talk about either things always get heated or uncomfortable. Sadly even on my end. When writing this I examined myself and felt convicted as well. I repented too asking God to help me in this area. I know He will help you too.

Judy, this is remarkable–not because it happened or that you are repenting about the way you responded and are asking God for forgiveness—but that the event you describe is (1) so common these days and (2) I have come so close to have an identical encounter with my own daughter and my son, both of whom are married and living California, where their views of things are skewed by what they hear on that over-the-top leftist state.
Thankfully, my daughter and I have had NO public meltdowns. (At the end here, I’m going to say something I think will be encouraging , so please keep reading.) In fact, I learned the hard way (following a most upsetting incident in December, 2016, just after Trump won) that she and I cannot discuss this topic AT ALL! Our encounter took place in a restaurant, with many shocked patrons looking on.
I saw then that if I want to retain a relationship with my daughter and her precious husband, who I love dearly, and their 2 little girls, such an argument must never happen again. After the Dec.’16 incident, I have *studiously avoided* any reference to any issue even remotely political when speaking with her. And so has she. It is an unspoken truce.
I am now left to ONE weapon in my tool belt: PRAYER. Only spiritual warfare prayer remains, as I pray daily for the mindset and spiritual health of my daughter and her husband. I have had to leave this is the loving hands of God, asking HIM to reveal TRUTH to them. Tragically, they attend an apostate church
Please know you are not alone. My 2 sisters are having the exact same challenge with at least one of their children. In the hallway a couple of week ago at the mega-church she attends, my sister was approached by a very prominent member who unexpectedly poured out her heart about the division she and her husband now face with their grown children. It was a woman my sister said, “You would never dream this particular family is having this division.” These children are all in their 30s—mine, my sisters’, and this family
Our younger generation, though they are adults, have adopted a mindset in total opposition to those beliefs we hold so dear and taught them from the cradle up. My sister and this lady have now formed a weekly prayer group with the sole purpose of praying about this schism with their children. Other women are joining them.
I hope the knowledge that this is rampant throughout the Body of Christ helps you—just in the knowledge that you are not alone! Blessings…

It was through tears that I read your article Gloria. I agree that we put our confidence in a man and gave him a position in our lives like a god. As much good as he has done, we have put him on a pedestal that he never asked for. But he doesn’t deserve the ill treatment he’s been getting. After all he has accomplished it’s to the shame of our government to treat him so badly. This hatred of him is demonic.
Your quote from Isaiah 42:8 hit the mark. Only one thing I add: “Lord” Is not His “Name”, it is a “title”. The 4 letter word in Hebrew is His Name. The letters yud, heh, vav, heh, spell His set-apart Name. We as Christians are unfamiliar with His NAME because we have not been taught. But His Name is famous among the gentiles. How can we call on a name that is unknown? How can we believe unless we hear it? And how can we hear unless it is preached? His name is called the Word of God who was made flesh and dwelt among us. Peter told the Jews, there is no other name by which we must be saved. His name in Hebrew is Yeshua, transliterated as Jesus in today’s English. God hasn’t made it difficult at all. In fact, it’s the name the Jews have profaned for centuries, which was why God scattered them to all nations and afflicted them with vengeance. Even so, He returned them to their land, but not for their virtue; it was for His promises to their forefathers. That’s grace: the same grace that drew us to Him!
Yahshua or Yeshuah is the Hebrew name of our Savior who gave His life as a ransom for many just as the Bible says. Jesus as He is called in most New Testaments is the Son of the Most High. (Yahuwah)
Yahuwah (Lord as He is known in the Old Testament) is His Heavenly Father who proclaimed that Yahshuah was His Son in whom He was well pleased. The shortened form Yah is noted in “HalleluYah, IsaYah, JeremYah. The two names are related in meaning. “God (Yah) is salvation. Yahuwah’s name was a sign of identification and salvation for His people (Isaiah 52:6, Romans10:13, Revelation 14:1) Yahuwah is His name forever and is the verb of existence. Hosea 12:5 “Even Yahuwah the Elohim of hosts Yahuwah is his memorial name”.
I have to say I have had the same concerns & am very concerned because not one prophet predicted it correctly. Now I would never send hate mail but I have to say I have stopped listening to any prophet for fear it may be wrong information
Lord, I repent of the thoughts and words that come from my heart which is broken right now over the evil that stole this election after so many (millions) of us prayed, called our representatives, emailed, prayed 2 Chronicle 7:14 like a mantra, petitioned, wrote, installed yard signs, shared articles and “prophesies”. Yet, although I do not see why this happened other than to show us the Church our hearts, I choose to praise You, worship You and trust You through it all and be honest with You about my grief and hurt, and yes some fear and dread of watching our beautiful Country and positive accomplishments lead by our President and his righteous staff be dismantled. You are the only One who can carry me from being stuck and depressed forward into your next assignment for me to do what I am called to do. It does not matter whether I “feel” differently, I choose to give you the sacrifice, praise, worship and my heart.
As for Jeremiah Johnson, we know him here; he is a humble man, a man sold out to God and for him to be persecuted, especially after humbling himself and apologizing is abhorrent to me. Yet I have been guilty of judging what I called the “Pollyanna – tickle the ears of the saints” prophets who I felt were doing more damage to the Church than good. Some have, but including Jeremiah Johnson in that bunch is not fair. God show your hand of mercy and covering over him, his family and all the persecuted Christians here and abroad AND over our precious President Donald J. Trump and his family. JESUS IS KING!
Don’t give up the ship. The beast, which deeply embedded itself in our government after WW2, will overcome the saints. But when? It sure looks like now.
I love President Trump. I see him as a new believer who has been severely tried. So far, so good! At times, I have seen the hand of God’s mighty angel leading him to give him one victory after another. And I have given glory to God for all these mighty acts.
Why would God put him in office at such a time as this? He certainly shined a light on the darkness that would otherwise have taken us unaware. We should give thanks to God for that. I would add, it isn’t over yet. Be prepared for the weeks to come; it’s never too late for God to act on behalf of the prayers of faithful saints.
So how should we pray? We should not pray for what we want, but for mercy in judgment; for courage to endure; for wisdom to pray God’s will at this time in history, lest we pray against His will like Peter who wanted something other than the will of God. If we do that, we put God to the test by the promises we claim. Remember Jesus could have claimed the promise of God when the devil tempted Him in the wilderness, but He rebuked that snake. May God help each of us to receive and to pray His will.
God, is dealing with the church first and the nation second. This forum had become divisive some months ago, I stop visiting it. A house divided against itself cannot stand. I do understand that everyone is not at the same level as an intercessor and this is an avenue for fellowship and engagement, as well as training. It takes maturity to separate the sin from the sinner…ie, some were cursing people when they should have cursed the demons leading the people. The book of James says when we can’t control our tongue, we are religious. James 1:26. I have that same experience with two family members,whenever I come around they want to debate scripture or politics in light of scripture. I could say more,but in conclusion, Jezebel caused Elijah to be intimidated with words. I said, and I have the prophetic office,the endtime battle is between the Babylonian harlot and the Bride of Christ. Intercessors and all of us in the body of Christ must
demonstrate who we are intimate with by our words.
The Scriptures make it clear, and I’m not trying to be divisive: the Bride of Christ is Jerusalem, His city. Mystery Babylon is the whore of Satan, the spirit of Babylon that travels the earth to possess its cities. This is so right on! The past couple of days, Isaiah 58 came to mind and I was reminded as to the purpose of our fasting. It is not for strife or debate or to strike with the fist of wickedness, but to loose the bonds of wickedness, undo heavy burdens and let the oppressed go free and that we break every yoke. But it doesn’t end there. It continues and tells us what we need to do, which are all acts of love.
Since the beginning of the CoViD quarantines, I’ve felt that God was doing something foundational and that we were to return to our roots in Him. This morning, I felt led to pray again for the church, because none of what is going on is more important that our relationship with the LORD. In that relationship is where we find the love and strength to love people as Jesus does and this will bring about the change we need along with prayer and fasting.

These words are wonderful and true. Thank you for boldly sharing your heart with us. It has prompted me to consider all my words more carefully. I would like to write that prophet who apologized and comfort him. I hope and pray others have done so.
The article was a great teaching and we should watch what comes out of our mouths. I still believe that the Lord speaks through His Prophets and they are accurate words. I am not sure what happened in this election. But I still trust the Lord and He know all and He sees all. As Christian, we are to support each other and not pull each other down. The mark of Christians is that we love one another. We may not agree on everything but we stay in love.

The only propecy I heard was a dream he would be reelected in a landslide and get saved in the middle of his second term. He did win in a landslide of LEGITIMATE votes. The Lord finds unjust weights and measures an abomination. So from that perspective part of this is true regardless of inauguration of a stolen office. DJT getting saved is on my prayer list to give thanks for. I don’t know whether he is or not, but I know Jesus died for him and lives again to raise him. Jesus loves him, as he does us all. Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior not any man, no matter how much he fights for what is right. Hang in there church. This is our hour to shine.

I appreciate very much this resource for prayer and encouragement. I did read 1 Kings 21-22 Today as Dutch Sheets encouraged. God is not passive against evil but timely. I have been trying to separate the evil that I see happening in our nation from the people that are being used to carry it out. It has been challenging, but I am working on it. My heart breaks as I cry out to God at the injustice that I see all around me. The agendas that I know that they have in store and the evil that they intend to do. But I am bringing it to God in prayer and confessing my heart to God. I will not be silent however. I will write/call my congressman and my senators, and I will share the truth when I see it but I will take all things to God in prayer and try to do a much better job of keeping my mouth from speaking the evil that comes in my heart at times. God alone is just. I pray that his justice will be shown and his mercy!
I am hopeful that a great awakening has truly begun. That God will be able to take in a great harvest from what we see as defeat in some areas.
As far as the prophets, I hold that loosely as some other people also stated. I go to God and try to figure things out also by the Holy Spirit helping. But when they said that the president would have a second term or however they said it…he did win the election again. They were not wrong on that. I can let that go.
But I will not let go of is watching the fruit of the Jezebel Spirit moving in our nations capital. As we continue to pray with a little bit of knowledge, God knows everything we only know in part. I am so thankful for the church and for a godly advice and counsel.

The Prophets may have predicted right. I solemnly believe that President Trump did win this election, but the enemy is working overtime to thwart God’s plan. This is truly a time of testing for our nation and we MUST trust God’s provision and we must pray for wisdom and discernment at this time. I believe God is not finished with us yet. I believe there will be an enlightenment and may even be a revival. Seems like Satan and his demons may be winning, but God will ultimately have the final say.

The word that I stand on that he would be a two term president was prophesied long before the second election. It’s interesting that the Lord took Kim Clement shortly after the first election of Donald Trump. I still contend that the Lord has stated His desire for this second term & I will stand on that without apology. I believe that all this chaos in the body of Christ is just revealing of our condition. Jesus prayed for a church that would be unified, because that church would be unstoppable. God stated that the people at the tower of Babel could accomplish anything & the were opposed to God’s command. So He had to confuse their language to scatter them. The Spirit of God is the only one capable of uniting The body of Christ. We know & prophesy in part. We tend to fill in the part, that God reserves to be filled in along the way, with our own understanding & desire. That scatters us in as many directions as there are opinions. I don’t know how it is going to play out over the next week, but am believing God for a miracle so awesome that put all our opinions to shame & make a believer out of the hardest of hearts. Everyone who speaks for the Lord is responsible to examine their heart & motivation when they bring that word. I know from experience that the word can be right, but the heart or motivation wrong. The Lord dropped a thought yesterday that “the establishments are coming down”, but we think government as in our national government. God is after the things that govern the hearts & mind of His bride until His government be established in our hearts. I am asking that the revealing of mindsets & motives result in humility & repentance that unite us closer to God’s heart & desire. His kingdom come!

I had so very much prayed for a Godly group free from “politics”, but found much hatred and anger and lack of focus and control in many comments. I am a counselor, and know that one of the devils biggest tools against us is uncontrolled emotional responses. Thank u for explaining that it is not just me, I almost left the group, but felt in prayer I was to hold steady. We r all growing in the Lord.
President Trump did win, but when, as in Pennsylvania 1.8 million mail in ballots are sent out, but 2.5 million are counted, the evil principalities and powers controlling this world, for a time prevail.

You can declare a door to open and God may even open the door, but if people choose to not walk through, is it the prophets fault? Prophets should not feel sad or guilty for misleading because every one also has a responsibility to discern the word and pray over it. Let’s give grace to one another, a lot is happening here that may not even be God’s will, we are fighting an adversary . It is true that what the enemy has meant for evil, God has the power to redeem!

If we are stunned and disappointed because their words didn’t happen (yet), how much more stunned, disappointed and disillusioned they must be! But our God is faithful. He is our Rock. About our prophets “getting it wrong,” I like to think about Jonathan Cahn’s warnings, that God has (had) plans for this nation, to bless us IF we repented, IF we turned to Him, IF we cleaned up our act as a nation… and instead our nation has thumbed its nose at God. Just days ago, when Congress had the ability to clean up the election or do other honorable things, instead they invoked a new mandate that the words “father” and “mother,” etc. not be used in any legislative documents. How horrible. How unrighteous. If Trump doesn’t get a second term, it’s not the prophets’ fault. It’s not God’s fault. It may just be because our nation has chosen to defy God. Pray. We should want leaders to use wisdom and who pray. Trump had both, even though we all know he made lots of mistakes , of course he did, which of us has it altogether?
When we discuss circumstances as such, there is a ditch on either side of the road in all circumstances, I would not dwell too much on the fact the people may have worshipped Trump, let God take care of individually convicting people. If we talk too loud about this we could discourage people who have a sincere desire to see God protect our country through leaders who honor God. For so long we have had liberal corrupt politicians in office who have sold out our country to other corrupt nations , so people were deep longings, strong convictions to see something better, and I have that same longing.

It is interesting what is said here about words and I agree. The thing that is interesting is I have thought that if President Trump would not be re-elected it would be because of his words, his name calling, etc. He has never learned that “soft words turneth away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger,”
If he would have publicly repented of this about 3 years ago and never responded harshly, this reason would not be on the table.
It is not Trump’s fault that the election was fraudulent and that the results have not been purified. This “lost” election is about evil getting away with their evil tactics. It’s about justice not being done, like in the last days of Israel. Read Jonathan Cahn’s book The Harbinger II. Our nation is thumbing its nose at God.
I agree that the election was wrought with fraud and actually had some statements about that but deleted them because the article was just about words.
I don’t believe the election was fraudulent. The “thousands” of “dead” voters in Georgia was 2. I believe it was in Wisconsin the recount added 87 votes to Biden. The errors found were minuscule and did not suggest intentional widespread fraud. A few months ago I prayed truth to be revealed to me and was surprised that the truth was not in Trump. I have been praying since the 2016 election that Trump would listen to his advisers and speak wisely as often his words were unkind and exaggerated or about himself. I asked why as Christians we were willing to overlook obvious his non Christian actions. Yes the media is biased, but he gave Christians a black eye because we did not stand up for righteousness. Leaders who are Christians should be accountable for their ungodly actions and the church overlooked them because he was a “baby Christian”.
There seemed to be continued chaos that surrounded him. Chaos is not a fruit of the Spirit. May we continue to pray for him and all our leaders. Pray for unity in our nation and love and unity in our church. We are to show the world we are Christians by our love. Let’s stop following the hate and name calling of the world, and seriously seek to show Christ’s love to them.
You are right. Ever since Trump took office I have prayed that he would become a statesman, but it hasn’t happened. I believe he needs to repent of several things, knowing we are all sinners but the Bible speaks of the importance of repentance. This would be for his own good.
I found myself so disgusted with many of the mischief makers that volumns of saracasm was rising up within. However, the Lord halted that and reminded me I needed to separate the sin I was seeing from the person. I myself needed to develop compassion for a lost world that sank deeper and deeper into filth until the Godly pursuit ceased. And now we face a time of Judgment and “reset” BUT we Will also emerge a people wholly committed to a Holy God. Wars and rumors of wars are to be expected as the dross is removed and that which remains is purified.If we learn to step aside and remember the Sabbath Rest there will also be restoration. Don’t be deceived. The Lord of Glory does not share that with mute idols. Only the Living God can bring lasting change. Hallelujah..now SING..

You are right. I see myself in many ways. But I also will not quickly say people are worshiping Trump. We are to stand strong with our fellow brother in the Lord. A prophet should never apologize if he or she believes he his prophecy is true. A thousand years for God is one day. Trump won the election. Even though a wrong person is in the office it doesn’t cancel the fact that he won, God knows what he’s doing. Let not quickly judge. We read in the Bible that God is coming soon but this soon never seems to come. Does it cancel the fact that he is coming soon? No he is coming soon. Don’t worry when the evil seems to prevail, God is prevailing. Trump have paved the way for the swamp to be clean and it must be cleaned both in us and the nation. We follow righteous leaders. That is what most of us are doing not worshiping him.
I agree Gladys. I have never seen Pres Trump as a man to be idolized. I believe God put him there for such a time as this. Nothing more. I have struggled with Christians who have been so oppositional to what seemed so clear to me. I have been chewed out for supporting him in the primary by a local Christian prayer group leader and then found myself frustrated and losing respect for national Christian leaders who have used their influence to trash the president before, during and after his first election. He has proven to be pro life, pro Jesus, so I have and still am praying hard to keep my focus on HIM, not man because Prov 29:25 says The fear of man is a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.

The church is being purified and it is painful but needed.
Personally, I know there were a few Christians who put too much in placing the president on a pedestal he didn’t belong on. But I sincerely believe the vast majority of Christians saw that God had placed the president there for God’s purpose and to help our nation.

As I read this article about Christians reactions to words of a prophet, it is distressing to know the reactions of many of God’s people are so hateful. As I have sought God’s heart on the times in which we live. The Holy Spirit has impressed upon me how vital it will be in these times to have intimacy with a Personnel God and know that you hear and can trust the Spirit that instructs you{jJohn 2:26}. For me, I have learned that it was not so important to cling to what a prophet in today’s church is saying but what is God saying to me and how does He confirm it for me in His Word, He may use others to confirm. After the election and disappointment, as I sought His direction He gave me three words Stand, Wait and Watch. I was to stand in faith, wait for ” those who wait upon the Lord will be renewed in strength” and to watch for the Glory of the Lord shall be seen. With all the lockdown it was easy to spend more time with Him in prayer and in His Word. The day after Jan.6th, trying to process all that has happened with the Lord,I became burdened with a sense of disunity in families, the church and our nation. Praying with IFA on the 7th my sense of disunity was confirmed be David Kubal and the ladies who led the prayer time. The Holy Spirit brought me into Jesus prayer in John 17:s I continued to seek answers for the times in which we are now living.He reminded me what He wants is the Church to be united as He and the Father are one, that the World will know we are His by our love for one another. He continued to remind me from His Word, what Jesus said in Matt.10:34-39, that it is in Losing ones life we gain our life in Him. He reminded me of my life verses in 2 Corinthians 4:7-18, That we are always being given over to death, so that the life of Jesus will be revealed in us. I’m sharing all this to say we cannot put our faith in the Words of a person, but only as we know this God in such an intimate way that we know His voice and can trust His leading. God is calling the Church to LOVE as He loved. This will always bring us to the CROSS, laying down all our thoughts, plans, opinions of what He is saying through others, many who we do not even know. There are many voices out there, but what is the Spirit of God saying to you as you draw near to HIm. Scripture tells us three things remain “faith, hope and love, the greatest being love.” I guess that is because “God is LOVE”. Father, give us the desire to pursue the greater gift, ” that the World will know we are Yours, by our love for one another.” And may all see the face of Jesus revealed through us, this will bring the harvest

I read your article and agree with it. If a Christian threatens a person with death they’re not Christian. If a Christian thinks Mr. Trump is our savior they don’t know the Word of God. These people that are threatening and idolizing don’t know Jesus. You will know a tree by it’s fruit…no fruit there.

Trump is not our savior any more than the Republican Party is God’s party. It’s not fair to any man to put him in that position. I’m praying for us return to honoring Hod by living out the fundamentals of our faith: heartfelt repentance, the Golden Rule, I Cor. 13, the Fruit of the Spirit, preferring one another.
If I remember correctly the prophecies that were spoken were that President Trump would be elected for a second term. How could that be possible given what happened? if the election truly were fraudulent, and President Trump really did win reelection, but there are those who have kept that hidden through corruption, the prophecy still stands. I think this has to be considered at least a possibility.

Concerning the prophets who have prophesied Trumps win, I still believe they were correct. I do not think they should be apologizing. The devil has been working overtime to come against the will of God. But God is greater. Jonah didn’t apologize when Nineveh was not destroyed. The church needs to learn to stand in the time of testing. And we are being tested.
I too I have restricted my social media presence. I have seen how the devil can deceive us my offering to us what we already have. We can use this moment in time as a learning opportunity. These people on earth in this country who are believers need to come together as one army and speak in one voice.

Very true, the Bible DOES warn about false prophets and instructs us NOT to believe or follow them. So much deception swirling around. We need discernment from God and only God.
God warns us of false prophets in these last days. My prayer is for Christians to have discernment and to listen to God’s voice.

As I began reading about the reactions to and actions of the prophets who prophesied of Trump winning the election I was somewhat disheartened when hearing they apologized for getting it wrong. True prophesy is never wrong. It then occurred to me (or most likely God clarified for me) that the prophesy still stands. What is incorrect is my interpretation of it. Donald Trump did win this election. Prophesy fulfilled. The prophecy did not say he would be inaugurated on January 20th. Brothers and sisters God is fully in control. His Spirit will show us where we go from here. We must trust in Him and not discount the messages he brings through His prophets. We serve a powerful, loving God. He will reveal His truth through all things happening. His mighty hand is at work even among all the chaos we bring on ourselves when trying to “do” in our own strength.
Right on. With the same Spirit working in us that raised Christ from the grave we are empowered to allow His Spirit speak to our spirits to speak to our minds, wills and souls and tell them to speak words of encouragement onlyas Jesus does.

Thank you for writing this article. I’m devastated to hear of the death threats against this godly man. Who amongst us hasn’t made a mistake. Who knows that Donald Trump won’t have a second term and be elected in 2024?
I pray those who take their anger out on Mr. Johnson and other prophets will be convicted of their sin, humble themselves before the Lord and ask His forgiveness. When we fight among ourselves we are no different from the world and bring great dishonor to our Lord and Savior.
God forgive them, they know not what they do.
Because at times I operate in the prophetical realm, I understand how prophetical words operate. One thing I can tell you as they don’t always come to pass as we think they will or at the timing we think they will. Look at the prophetical people in the old and New Testament, many times their prophecies were not understood and it took some time for them to be fulfilled by God. One thing we seem to be lacking in these days is patience and trust and letting God work things out. Why do we give up on God so easy? Why do we wanna stone each other if we feel we are not saying or doing the right things. It is not right and it shows that we have a long way to go in Christian unity. I am still standing with all the prophetical voices because things have had not had enough time to play out, and we haven’t seen the end of what God is doing yet in our nation. We have prayed so many prayers -have we given up on those too? Let’s not do that -let’s join our hearts and continue to pray and trust that God has a plan for America and he still can use anyone he wants to including President Trump.

I think this is what is upsetting people with his apology. They are just expressing themselves in the wrong way.

Because of Jesus, God’s forgiveness is mixed with such undeserving grace and mercy. Sadly it’s much more difficult to seek forgiveness from our fellow Christians. It should not be this way. The inability to forgive someone, anyone, is a heart issue.
But whatever [word] comes out of the mouth comes from the heart, and this is what defiles and dishonors the man. For out of the heart come evil thoughts and plans, murders, adulteries, sexual immoralities, thefts, false testimonies, slanders (verbal abuse, irreverent speech, blaspheming).

Father God,
You see the condition of our hearts. Certainly it grieves Your heart when we are unforgiving.
John 15:12: This is my commandment, that ye love one another, even as I have loved you.
Let us repent of this sin of unforgiveness. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, let us be obedient to Your commandment to love others as You love us! And may that which comes out of our mouths be loving, encouraging and used to build up Your church.

It saddens me to see men and women of God falling under pressure. Our word is powerful. Thanks again for reminding us. I have also withdrawn from media tho I go to fb particularly to pray and agree with some that we are a part of a prayer team. I scroll past all the political post on both sides. Now is a time when we must guard our lips and have sensitive ears to what God is saying. It has become a habit to me in the last few months to start my day even before I rise to praying “Lord, how do you want me to pray this day?” It is amazing that when we ask, He does speak to us. We must remember that God is not republican nor democrat. He is God and never changes. He will reveal evil and bring forth justice. He will heal our land as we pray.

I think that one wise lady said this: That Trump’s presidency will be restored but in a way that NO human can take credit..and it will be humbling even to Pres Trump…who though has taken great strides in FAITH still could use some more humility to be even more effective.

I just read about the Vision of George Washington from 1777…it basically implies that Armegeddon will be against the USA (perhaps Isreal AND the USA) but the Lord’s miraculous intervention will save us…but perhaps Armageddon isnt about the Red army destroying us with bombs perhaps it is via computers and technology…which is happening NOW.
Donald Trump did win this 2020 election by the greatest presidential landslide in U.S. history. Prophecy of his victory of winning as president are very true. Joe Biden has been put into office through a fraudulent election that included the greatest voter fraud in our nation’s history. The fact that real widespread voter fraud was never allowed to be fully heard and investigated by our judicial branches of government does not transparently prove that Joe Biden legally won the presidency. If there is nothing to hide, why not allow the truth about voter fraud to be heard and investigated. Joe Biden has been placed into office through a corrupt electoral process. America has not definitively proven that Joe Biden legally and legitimately won this election.

It is indeed sad to see the church attack each other. And I agree the words out of our mouths are vitally important. And man will not save us. Every level of our government has proven that now. Any judgment of the prophetic has to be done in the fear of the Lord. God does not take kindly to speaking against His anointed ones. We are so limited to our understanding of what is really going on. And this whole thing hasn’t even totally played out yet. Things are happening so fast. This nation’s beginning was with a covenant with God and was dedicated to the spreading of the gospel. God always remains faithful to covenants. Its up to us to hold up our end as the eclesia. We have to always be aware of what spirit we are of. Even Peter was rebuked for that.
I agree with this article 100%. I don’t feel like I’ve ever idolized the president but there are anger issues about the fraud and the election. The evil that I’ve had to realize has done something to me. Christians are for Trump because Trump is for our freedom in America. If we don’t have freedom then we’re not going to be able to read articles like this and, we’re not going to be able to attend church as we have in the past. This is not a time to roll over and give up. America is literally in the fight of her life. Our ancestors fought for our rights and cheating/lying politicians are stealing it before our eyes. The election was not conducted honestly. It’s like a bully taking your lunch money over and over-at some point you have to stand up and say No More! That’s where America is…if we give up now as Christian’s we’re going to have to go underground for church. So when Jeremiah says he got it wrong…I don’t believe it for one second. Jeremiah got it right..what he’s gotten wrong is listening to others because Trump wasn’t announced the winner on 11/3 or 1/6/21. No one has started looking at the election fraud-it’s massive. We are not looking at Trump as a savior we are looking at him as our freedom fighter. All the other politicians cave.
The Bible is full of warriors and wars.
Pray, stay in the fight for freedom, keep looking for God to show up…he’s a God of miracles and he’s got this!!

There has been alot of talk and “prophecy” regarding our election and country.
I am still not sure what the Lord determines is best at this time for our nation. Time and patience will tell.
I know He is not willing that any should perish (2 Pet 3:9)
I also know righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people (Prov 14:34)
He also wants me to humble myself and pray, to seek His face and to turn from my wicked ways
(2 Chron 7:14)
I also know that unlike Baal (idol,false god), our God is not “meditating or busy, on a journey or sleeping” (1 Kings 18:27) He is currently acting and will continue to do so. (John 5:17)
I need to be focusing all my energies on what is pleasing to the Lord, what His word is saying about the times,(like the Bereans, Acts 17:11) and knowing where the center of His perfect will is for me (Rom. 12:1-2) and remaining focused as Jesus was determined to go to Jerusalem to be crucified by the leaders. (Luke 18:31)
The prophetic words of the Holy Scriptures are all sufficient, and have provided all that I need for life and godliness and to thoroughly equip me for every good work.(2 Pet 1:3, 2 Tim. 3:14-17)
His desire for me is to keep my heart and eyes upon Jesus and be ready to wholeheartedly accept and embark on all that He commands me. (John 21: 20-22)

The reason people are upset with Jerimiah is because true prophets don’t get it wrong. And he apologized without seeking God. This was about him. And it speaks to his believing if he is a prophet. He needs to humble himself and seek God’s forgiveness not man. So one wonders if his ministry is about God or about him. This is why he is getting the reaction he is getting.
Wow, isn’t it impossible for someone outside of Jeremiah to determine whether or not he has gone to God about anything? As well, isn’t it a broad brush to decide what was in the hearts of people who were upset with Jeremiah? I haven’t followed Jeremiah at all, but how about acknowledging that it takes humility to publicly make an apology? No matter what anyone says, and no matter what they call themselves, it’s always the responsibility of the hearer to take everything they hear to God and God’s Word to discern whether or not it’s true. Maybe people were seeking signs, instead of seeking the Lord during this election season. God’s Word has something to say about that. And maybe people were putting their trust in man, as in a president, or perhaps in a prophet they chose to believe, rather than in the Lord.
I pray for those whose affections are even now set on the outcome of this election, rather than on things above, that their faith in God would not be shaken now.. Our dependence is to be upon God, not man. If we don’t understand how to depend on God, we must humble ourselves to ask Him, He will give us understanding. He knew what He was saying when He said “fear not” 365 times.
Let’s reaffirm Romans 10:9-11, our basis for trust in God, and dependence upon Him through our Lord Jesus Christ.
We have prayed for a godly result to this election, but our heart must be fixed on God and His unfailing faithfulness to us in the promises of His Word, and not an election outcome. God does not leave us or forsake us. Now is the time to humble ourselves before God, to rise up to trust Him. He knows what the time and the hour is. He knows every hair on our head and He loves us.
