The China and Taiwan situation is growing more tense over a potential visit to Taiwan from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, among others.
From CNN. President Joe Biden and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping held a lengthy and candid discussion about Taiwan on Thursday as tensions mount between Washington and Beijing, despite Biden’s onetime hope of stabilizing the world’s most important country-to-country relationship.

The two leaders did agree to begin arrangements for a face-to-face summit, their first as Xi resists travel amid the Covid-19 pandemic. And certain areas of cooperation, including climate change, were hashed out.
But the Taiwan issue proved among the most contentious. The issue has emerged as a serious point of conflict, as US officials fear a more imminent Chinese move on the self-governing island and as a potential visit by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi prompts warnings from Beijing and a concerted effort by the Biden administration to prevent tensions from spiraling out of control.
The matter was discussed at length in the two-hour-and-17-minute phone call Thursday. Xi offered an ominous warning to Biden, according to China’s version of events.
“Public opinion shall not be violated, and if you play with fire you get burned. I hope the US side can see this clearly,” he told Biden, according to China’s state news agency. The official English translation later provided by the Chinese Foreign Ministry said, “Those who play with fire will perish by it.”
The White House’s account of the call was less specific.
“On Taiwan, President Biden underscored that the United States policy has not changed and that the United States strongly opposes unilateral efforts to change the status quo or undermine peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait,” a US readout read.
A senior US administration official called the Taiwan discussion “direct and honest” but downplayed Xi’s warning, suggesting it was standard for the Chinese leader to warn about the risks of “playing with fire.”
The phone call was Biden and Xi’s fifth conversation since February 2021. Ahead of time, US officials said a range of topics — from the tensions surrounding Taiwan to economic competition to the war in Ukraine — were likely to arise.
But hopes for substantially improving ties with Beijing were low. Instead, Biden’s aides hope maintaining a personal connection with Xi can, at most, avoid a miscalculation that might lead to confrontation….
Planning for Biden’s phone call with Xi predated the furor over Pelosi’s proposed visit to Taipei. Neither side revealed whether Pelosi’s plans were discussed specifically….
Administration officials have been working quietly over the past week to convince the House speaker of the risks inherent in visiting the self-governing island. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Wednesday he’d spoken to Pelosi to provide his “assessment of the security situation.”
Pelosi has not made any announcements about her plans for a trip, which haven’t been finalized….
Yet even unofficial word that the third-in-line to the US presidency was considering a visit to Taiwan prompted an outsized response from Beijing, which considers visits by top-ranking American officials a sign of diplomatic relations with the island.
“If the US insists on taking its own course, the Chinese military will never sit idly by, and it will definitely take strong actions to thwart any external force’s interference and separatist’s schemes for ‘Taiwan independence,’ and resolutely defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Ministry of Defense Spokesperson Tan Kefei said Tuesday in response to questions over Pelosi’s reported trip to Taipei.
The White House called those comments “unnecessary” and “unhelpful,” saying the rhetoric only served to escalate tensions “in a completely unnecessary manner….”

Father despite evil satantic puppets who run tge nations governments, have mercy on the nations of China, Tawain, and USA for the sake of your people. You told Abraham that even if enough Godly people were found in Sodom you would not destroy it, Father please dont let the unwise, ungodly decisions of men continue to destroy nations, and rob families of incomes and loved ones. We have seen so much corruption and devesamtation of our beloved USA these past two years, Father you have allowed us go through this to expose the corruption and see how those in power have joined together with others who are corrupt and how they work together and protect each other. Father show them though that there IS a God in heaven who sees and cares, and acts on behalf of tge prayers of his people, especially now and those who are faithfully praying for our nation asking you to judge these ungodly unetgical government leaders and remove them from power, replace them with moral ethical men and women of honor who truly love our nation and our constitution and want to protect our nation from political corruption and tyranny. Father thank you that you prompt our prayers and hear our prayers and answer them.
The issue of Nancy Pelosi going to Taiwan I believe is not the real issue. Instead, the enemy would seek an outbreak of violence/war as his intention is to disrupt and change God’s Will here on earth. Prayer: ‘Father, we pray for your perfect will to be done in Taiwan and for your protection for Nancy Pelosi. We ask for your love and revelation to come to Nancy and may Nancy have a loving encounter with You. ‘
Heavenly Father, I come to you with my heartfelt to thank you for all your blessings you have bestowed up on our families and our country. I love you with all my heart. I am begging to stop all the chaos that going on around the world.
I pray that you will give all the countries’ humble enough to work together and to help humans that are still struggle with emotional, physical, psychological problems. I pray to end the war that seems to keep creeping up against your children.

The course of any nation is in the hands of God’s People. God Commands us to exercise His Godly Dominion in the world 🌎 to bring about His Kingdom and Righteousness that His Will may be done here on earth 🌎 as it is in Heaven.
Every crisis we are now facing is 100% man-made, and are both preventable and repairable. They are not so much political matters, but rather issues of the heart ❤ and matters of principles.
The reality we must recognize is that the ungodly have exercised dominion in virtually every major segment of our society and political system, rather than God’s People taking dominion according to His Wisdom and Righteousness.
According to Scripture, if we want to change the course of the current situations, it will require the Repentance of God’s People, and a willingness for each of us to make God’s Kingdom and Righteousness our Priority, and do the Business of God in every aspect of our lives and society, which is to bring about His Righteousness, Peace and Joy by the Power of the Holy Spirit.
God works through His People to bring about His Righteousness and Goodness in the world 🌎 because we are co-laborers with Christ; however, we must be willing to come into agreement with God and His Word, then come into agreement with each other based upon the Truth and Wisdom of God. We will only be effective in the world 🌎 for God’s Kingdom and Righteousness to the degree we are in agreement with God and one another. The place of Power is within the place of agreement.
We have an ungodly and lawless president, who is in rebellion to God, attempting to negotiate with the CCP. However, we must recognize that God’s People has given opportunity for the devil to operate in our political system; therefore, we can’t blame politicians for the “mess” we are confronted with, but rather it requires each of us to take personal and collect responsibility. Ultimately, we need God’s Strategy to solve the crisises we face. Following the world’s wisdom will only lead to chaos and destruction.

Seems like a game of “chicken”, with serious consequences for the world. China (and others, too) are manipulating to see who comes out on top. At a deeper level, the issue is global; on the surface, between nations. How can we find a way for those to stand down and still save face? We most certainly need God’s help to get out of the mess we have made.

Just watched a movie about Hosea, entitled “Amazing Love”. It was uncanny how it seems we are repeating history… and it doesn’t look good… especially for those who don’t know our Lord and His Amazing Love🥰… along with His wrath😔. Heaven help us😇🙏
