I Prayed have prayed
Father, we pray for the victims of this senseless war in Ukraine. We pray that You would comfort them and guard them. Grant them healing, Lord, and be their strength and refuge.
Reading Time: 4 minutes

As intercessors laboring with our partners in Ukraine we may rejoice and praise God for the miraculous things that have happened there so far. At the same time, we are staying vigilant and watch the geopolitical shifts and their effect on the world’ balance of economic, military, and spiritual power that this war is bringing about.

Russian troops are withdrawing from northern Ukraine and Kyiv, and are focusing their efforts on the east, in particular the more pro-Moscow Donbas region, what some experts believe to be a shift in policy to give Moscow more leverage at the negotiating table. According to Peter Oswalt of Arise: Life, who has been providing daily prayer updates on Ukraine, this shift is an answer to prayer. No-one expected this to happen, he states in a video-taped prayer update on April 4. Experts have weighed in to say that while Moscow puts a strategic spin on their shift, their bombing of civilian targets and shift to the east signify a failure of their main objective – to capture Kyiv.

Now, another area for urgent prayer is coming into focus. As Russian troops withdrew and Ukrainian troops retook town after town, evidence of atrocities against civilians has come to light.  Reports in Newsmax and BBC News describe the discovery of executed civilians, some tied with their hands behind their backs and bullet wounds in their heads, still lying in the street where they fell, many others buried in shallow mass graves. According to the reports, the villages of Bucha and Motyzhyn have especially been hit hard. Ukrainian officials estimate the total number of civilians killed and buried in mass graves to be 410.

Photos, video footage and eyewitness accounts of summary execution by Russian soldiers are hard to watch and hear. They bring to the foreground the horrors of war – the slaughter of innocents that is bound to leave deep wounds. And let us not forget the many who have lost everything due to the shelling of civilian targets and the 4.1 million refugees who have had to leave their homeland, everything they owned, and in many cases their families. According to the UN, it is the largest refugee crisis since World War II. For civilians trapped in besieged cities like Mariupol, the situation is dire as well. Humanitarian aid can’t reach the hundreds of thousands trapped there amid the ruins, leaving them without water, food, or medical supplies.

This calls for urgent prayer, not only for humanitarian aid to get where it needs to go, for refugees to reach safe havens, and trapped civilians to be rescued, but also for deep healing in the hearts of the millions of war victims.

Sometimes it is difficult for us to imagine the pain of losing everything we have, having to flee our country, or finding out that our closest family members were brutally executed by occupying forces. Most of us have not had to experience that, thankfully. The wounds of such suffering and injustice go deep and take a work of God deep inside the suffering soul to heal.

While He does not prevent mankind from warring against itself, He does offer salvation and healing to those who seek Him amid its suffering and devastation. According to Psalm 34:18 “The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit,” and in Psalm 147:3 it says, “He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.”
Those promises are tremendously significant in times of very acute and unbearable pain like what we have seen unfold in Ukraine. They give us a rich basis for intercessory prayer on behalf of a suffering nation because their suffering also provides a tremendous opportunity for them to seek God in their pain and find in Him the peace, deliverance, redemption, and healing that can come from nowhere else but Him and that He longs to give.

With that great promise in mind and knowing that God’s heart breaks for the broken-hearted victims of injustice and that He wants us to intercede for them, let us pray fervently for the victims of the Ukrainian war.

  • Pray that God would supernaturally open the door for humanitarian aid to reach Mariupol and other cities still under siege.
  • Pray that the 4.1 million refugees will reach safe havens, and that the Church throughout Europe would be front and center to minister to them with food, shelter, love, and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • Pray that the vulnerable among them will be protected from profiteers and human traffickers.
  • Pray for separated families to find ways to stay in touch and be eventually reunited.
  • Pray for the families and friends of those who were executed by Russian troops to find comfort and healing in the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Pray for those who have lost everything due to shelling and fighting to find hope for restoration and emotional healing of their loss in Christ.
  • Pray for the Ukrainian government to be able to rebuild infrastructure and restore access to basic needs.
  • Pray for God to stir the hearts of the rest of the world to help Ukraine long-term so that it can recover and rebuild.
  • Pray for the global Church to unite like never before to become an agent of aid to the hurting, comfort for the grieving, and restoration for those who have lost homes and livelihoods.

Kudos for a sound mind with eyes open and revelation from the throne room of Heaven. That’s what Christians need. Totally agree with your comments and pray that more Christians to be fully aware of the truth and come in agreement with the Almighty to eradicate evil in all manifestations in Jesus name.

Lord, we ask for the truth to be revealed promptly to set the record straight and we ask that you protect the innocents. Make them invisible to the enemy whether it’s within its borders or abroad in the name of Jesus.

My prayers have changed in recent days esp. after yesterday. Is it ok to pray that the head of the snake would be cut off? That’s my intercession now.

Of course I am praying since I stood up for Ukraine in 1970’s in a church in Greensburg, PA and being 100% Ukrainian myself immigrated to USA from Germany. I have strong roots with Ukraine. They are hardworking good people and I believe they are being attacked unfairly.. I pray in tongues but when I have the insight I pray in English or borrow someone’s prayer like the one in ICA. God is mandating we pray for our own country which is now USA for me and for all those around the world since we are all family coming from the same root of mankind. God loves His creation and in this premise I pray for Ukraine. I command the Hosts of Heaven to break down the darkness that is on this soil called Ukraine. I call this people group to be free from tyranny and neglect and suffering. I ask God for His mercy, grace and love to shine on them. To protect the children from human and sexual trafficking and the women from rape, etc. No not all is fair in love and war as the saying goes. The same pit that Russia has planned for Ukraine will happen to them as also other nations coveting land, power and nations not assigned to them .In Jesus name and by the Power of His Blood I send a hedge around these peoples called Ukrainians. Amen and Amen

Ecclesiastes 9:18 Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good.
Proverbs 20:18 Set plans by consultation, and wage war under sound guidance.

Dear Heavenly Father, Vladimir Putin is destroying much good. He has united the same evil that destroyed Syria to do the same in the Ukraine. Same plan, total annihilation and destruction of life. His war is waged under the guidance of the adversary. His war is one against humanity and all righteousness. I pray You will have mercy and in this day, bring to justice those who show NONE. I pray You will have mercy and in this day, encamp around those who desperately need You. You need no direction but I pray those who are fighting to save what remains of the Ukraine, will call out to You and You will guide them into Your war plan to bring victory. I ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Some of us do pray, relatively short prayers, to save the ‘LUCP’s’, ‘little unborn cutey-pies’ that are being destroyed by their mothers & fathers, by ‘planned murderhood’, by the thousands.
It is ‘darkest just before dawn’ to quote an age-old & ominous saying. wonder when the ‘Dawn’ will reach us,…sic.
May our Lord protect our LUCP’s.

I do pray Lord for any innocent Ukraine citizens that have been harmed or killed. Wrap your arms around their families and give them your peace. However, I do firmly believe there is much more going on there besides what is being reported from Main Street media. I am not saying this invasion wasn’t intentional but I do understand it was to come against the evil that was being planned for harm with the Bio Labs that were destroyed. These labs were designing things to further harm innocents throughout the world with new viruses, etc. Truth has been heavily censored by the media for years, I have seen pictures on uncensored social sites such as Telegram and Mew and Parler showing staged events, pictures from years past used to deceive us to the actuality of the violence we are seeing. Ukraine has always been a home for the Cabal and its activity. It was a hotbed for sex trafficking of children and women, money laundering. a home for relatives’ of goverment officials holding offices on boards receiving millions of dollars.
I’m not saying Putin is innocent by any means, i know many innocent people could have been hurt by the attack, but there is a Nazi presence there that is active. Putin, like Trump were the only 2 world leaders who refused to play ball with the Global Elitists working diligently to bring about the New World Order. This is why Trump was under constant attack while in office and now the focus is on Putin to further their plans. Pray for the Lord to reveal what is actual truth in these situations, do the work, do some research and don’t listen to main street media, pray for your eyes and ears to be open. This is so beyond politics, we are in a battle of Good Vs. Evil and we all need to stand for truth and fight for our freedoms. We are in a battle here for sure, but we must remember that the battle belongs to the Lord.

This unprovoked attack is unthinkable in this day and age. Mass graves and people tortured for what? What is the object? Give us those facts, Lord, so we’ll know better how to pray. I just keep praying in the Spirit and trust God to get the people to safety. Please Lord, bring this to a halt! Make Putin pay for this cruel disaster on these people. Whatever it is that opened the door to this attack needs fixed, corrected, and stopped. I pray all of this in Jesus Name.

Jesus, our hearts are broken for the Ukrainian people, and so is Yours. I ask for supernatural multiplying of food & water for them, both in the country and in the refugee camps! I ask thousands of hearts would be turned toward You & accept Jesus as Lord & Saviour, & that they would not blame You & become bitter instead. Thank You, Lord, that You are able to turn what our enemy intends for evil to good! Thank you for exposing the atrocities of the Russians; may the nations become incensed by such behavior; may they rise up & say that we will NOT tolerate it!! Supernaturally deliver those who are besieged! We ask that you bring chaos among the ranks of the Russians & they will turn on one another instead!

We need to pray equally for the Russian people. I am sure, just as in this country, many of the Russian people do not support the political agenda of their government. Let us hope that enough of them may be able to turn the tide, just as some of those in their army have done. Let us pray for God’s work to be accomplished by all of His followers, and May His will be done.

Dear Lord thank you for the confusion that has taken place in the Russian armies that caused their plans to fail in certain areas of Ukraine. I pray for the families of lost loved ones in this terrible invasion. For your comfort to come upon them and help them in their grieving. Help and protect the Ukrainian people to get to safety. Please end this invasion and don’t let it go on and on. Help President Zelensky he is trying to save his country. Give him wisdom and favor. Bring peace to this country, and bring all the people to you for salvation.

Good morning Abba Father!
Thank-you for many answered prayers for the Ukrainian people.
You send your son Jesus to be a deliverer for people who are trapped in certain cities in Ukraine. Deliver, deliver and deliver them from harms way!
Raise up courageous people who will be like angels who have an assignment! Send your armies from heaven to protect those who are escaping.
We cry out to you merciful Father, intervene supernaturally on behalf of of this war, bring and end to the war. Let there be justice where there is injustice !!! End the bombing and shelling , may you intercept and deactivate the bombs!
Pour out your spirit on the Russian troops, convict them and lead them to drop their arms and go home!
May you be revealed, to them . Open their eyes and give them supernatural revelations of your Glory , speak to them , cause them to fear you.
May you convict mankind in Ukraine , that many would cry out to you and be saved.
Softened hearts, let their be an exchange of stony hearts to a heart of flesh!
Be their deliverer , protect them from harm!

Give us a prayer waring spirit to win a victory over Ukraine with prayer. May the prayers of the saints be the tip of the spear to defeat Their Goliath. God is the way maker !
