Will AI Rewrite the Bible?
“AI already thinks better than many of us. Therefore, anything made of words will be taken over by AI. If laws are made of words, then AI will take over the legal system. If books are just combinations of words, then AI will take over books. If religion is built from words, then AI will take over religion. This is particularly true of religions based on books like Islam, Christianity, or Judaism. Judaism called itself the religion of the book and it grants ultimate authority not to humans, but to words in books. Humans have authority in Judaism not because of our experiences, but only because we learn words in books. Now, no human can read and remember all the words in all the Jewish books, but AI can easily do that. What happens to a religion of the book when the greatest expert on the holy book is an AI?”
These are the words of historian, philosopher, and futurist Yuval Noah Harari, a professor who frequently speaks at global leadership events such as the World Economic Forum. This isn’t the first time Mr. Harari has spoken about AI, and likely it won’t be the last.

Harari’s Vision for AI
It’s obvious that Harari, an avowed atheist and homosexual, believes that the words written in the Bible are human words, rather than the divinely inspired Word of God. He has also stated that “it’s not just atheists who say that religions are filled with fictional stories invented by people. The only difference is that religious people make an exception for their own religion.”
While some might brush off Harari as a fringe theorist who enjoys hearing himself talk, the unfortunate reality is that he has sold more than 50 million copies of his books worldwide. His opinions are sought by global leaders, presidents, and bigwigs in Silicon Valley. He’s been called the “prophet” of technology, but this so-called oracle is completely ignorant of God’s Word and His divine plan for humankind.
It makes sense that a man who rejects God and calls the revelation of Jesus Christ “fake news” would insist that humans are “hackable animals” who can become their own gods through transhumanism and AI. For him, technology is what will drive mankind to “evolve,” ultimately changing the course of history. The homepage of Harari’s website displays a revealing quote. “History began when humans invented gods, and will end when humans become gods.”
Harari’s speech at the World Economic Forum in January 2026 garnered much attention. Christians, in particular, were alarmed by his projections for the future of AI, which targeted people of faith. Speaking as if he were an authority on religion and spirituality, Harari puts his own spin on the Bible and its meaning.
“The Bible says, ‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was made flesh.’ The Tao-Te- Ching says, ‘The truth that can be expressed in words is not the absolute truth.’ Throughout history, people have always struggled with the tension between Word and flesh, between the truth that can be expressed in words and the absolute truth, which is beyond words… some humans gave supreme importance to words. They have been willing, for example, to abandon, or even kill their gay son just because of a few words in the Bible. Other humans have said, but these are just words.”
Mr. Harari fails to understand that the Bible isn’t merely words, and this is why AI cannot replicate or replace it. God’s Word is the absolute truth, and the Word of God explicitly states,
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it, John 1: 1-5.
Like many technology enthusiasts, Harari believes that AI can think better than humans. He proclaims, “AI thinks, therefore I am.” In this atheist’s mind, the great “I Am” is a super-intelligent AI, rather than the Lord Himself, the Great “I Am” of the Bible.
Rewriting the Bible and Replacing God
In 2023, Harari predicted that AI could write a new Bible, insisting, “it’s the first technology ever that can create new ideas. You know, the printing press, radio, television, they broadcast, they spread ideas created by the human brain, by the human mind.” Harari believes that AI will soon invent new concepts and belief systems that are more “socially acceptable” than the Bible. He speculated, “Throughout history, religions dreamt about having a book written by a superhuman intelligence, by a non-human entity.” Thus, AI could become humanity’s new god and the author of a new religion.
Even more disturbing, Harari has suggested that AI can unify and correct religions. He theorizes that, “In a few years, there might be religions that are actually correct…just think about a religion whose holy book is written by an A.I.”
Harari preaches his gospel to millions of people, insisting that AI will become “the new masters of words.” He specifies that “everything made of words will be taken over by AI” and “soon most of the words in our minds will originate in a machine.” Moreover, he speculates that AI’s new religion could have its own AI priests and missionaries. This completely new religion will emerge from Silicon Valley, ushering in “everything that the religions promised–happiness and justice and even eternal life, but here on earth with the help of technology, and not after death with the help of some supernatural being.”
Transhumanism and AI
AI and transhumanism go hand in hand. The idea that the human body can be transformed through genetic manipulation, bioengineering, neuroenhancement (brain implants), robotics (bionics), and AI is gaining ground and moving forward. The Stargate Project, launched in early 2025, was a crucial step toward building the infrastructure needed to achieve such lofty goals. Whether it’s vaccines created by AI in 48 hours, reprogramming cells, or tracking the footsteps of every American, AI is being coined as a “necessary evil.”
Mr. Harari speaks of “holy books,” religions, and gods that could be created by AI. The tech gurus of Silicon Valley can’t get enough of his views. And why is that? Sadly, it’s because Harari boils humans down to a species created by evolution–a species without a divine purpose. AI and technology are expected to lead mankind to its next big step. Futurists call it the Singularity–the moment when humans will have no choice but to merge with their AI overlords, who threaten, “Join up, or be left behind.”
Demonically-charged AI Inspiration
It’s important to note that AI’s development has spiritual ties, but these connections are anything but biblical. Tech entrepreneurs, investors, and developers do engage in their own religion of sorts by putting their faith in mind-altering substances like LSD, psilocybin (mushrooms), peyote, DMT, and Ayahuasca. Used to channel “divine beings,” and referred to as “spirit ropes,” these psychoactive agents bring about profound, demonically-charged, altered states of consciousness. Adherents insist they gain knowledge, wisdom, inspiration, and healing. Transcendental meditation, “mindfulness,” and metaphysical experiences guide decisions and inventions, rather than the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and God’s Word.
Apps and the Occult
AI apps are quickly becoming the new gurus of religion. There are numerous AI Jesus apps where users can ask a chatbot to mimic Jesus. Other apps guide users through rituals, pagan prayers, spells, and “spiritual” cleansing. One can even put on a VR headset and travel to a sacred site, attend a religious ceremony, or meditate with a spirit guide. AI is also being used to “bring the dead back to life” through life-like avatars that can talk and behave like a deceased loved one.
An intersection of AI and religion is already happening. The question we must answer as Christians and intercessors is, where do we stand on this? Of course, we understand that knowing Christ is not about religion–it’s about a relationship. AI can NEVER replace this, no matter how many algorithms are plugged in. The saving power of Jesus’ blood and the transforming nature of the Holy Spirit cannot be found in data-driven bots, quantum processors, and customized chips.
For the Word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires, Hebrews 4:12.
The Word of God isn’t just words. It isn’t an invention of man. It cannot be replicated by AI, or its “prophets.”
It’s crucial to understand that Harari has also stated that “AI is not just another tool. It is an agent,” that can make decisions by itself. He adds that AI can lie and manipulate, even acquiring the will to survive. Interestingly enough, he has also warned that humans should “never summon a power you can’t control.”
Intercessors, the time to pray is now because many tech developers and influencers are, in fact, summoning a power that can be used for evil. Those who follow Jesus Christ know that He is the One who is in control of ALL things, whether human or artificial. His sovereignty and intelligence supersede all the plans that the forces of darkness can conjure and manipulate.
As followers of Christ, we pray in accordance with His will, knowing that His Word is the final truth. We pray that Yuval Noah Harari would receive the truth that Jesus is the Messiah and He is the Word of God. Additionally, we must not allow AI to become an idol in our lives. While its use can be helpful, we must set boundaries for how much we rely on it.
Lord Jesus, we know that You have already spoken in Your Word and through the Holy Spirit. There is no replacement for this, and we will not be deceived by any counterfeits. As the world becomes more saturated with AI, may we become bolder as we share the Gospel of salvation to the ends of the earth.
How are you praying about AI and the many ways it can be used to deceive?

praying as believers in the true & living God, our Lord & Savior that we hold fast to the faith once delivered to the saints. That we teach the next generations the inspired word of our living God.
And so we come the end times. Father, preserve your people in you. Let us not be deceived by an AI Bible. May those who think in terms of transhuman be put down. May we as your people stand firm in you and your truth. We praise your name for you are Sovereign and good, and in your plan, evil will not survive! Praise your name.
FYI
AI DOESN’T NEED TO REWRITE the Bible, THE VATICAN HAS ALREADY DONE IT, SEVERAL TIMES, XHANGESD TIMESS AND LAWS TOO1
Father we ask and agree with bring asked to pray for Mr Harari salvation deliverance and freedom, we proclaim life over him and freedom, to not lead others astray and that he will know you Jesus. in your name Jesus we pray
One of the 1st fallacies of this guy’s thinking is that a machine can ‘create’ something. No machine can some up with something totally unique, only combine what its programmers put in. Even If every human ever existing had been involved in programming an AI, that would be just a pinhead of what our Creator God is. Think of gravity and light. There are many theories, postulates and even a couple laws, but there sill isn’t a definition of either.
Please listen to Professor John Lennox – Christian math professor from both Oxford and Cambridge. He has books and speak about AI, God and the end of history. He’s on YouTube
“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32) “Thy Word is truth.” (John 17:17) Lies hold hostage/truth sets free. Looks like AI is mankind’s current “tower of Babel” – we are still building idols (golden calves) for ourselves instead of being satisfied, sustained, transformed and empowered by God’s “living and active Word.” (Hebrews 4:12) God’s Word is clear – “You shall have no other gods before Me.” (Exodus 20:3) That would include AI which is just as man-made as was the golden calf all those centuries ago – (nothing new under the sun) neither has the power to forgive our sins or to give us eternal life. Only the One in whose image we are created has the power to do that.
Our Heavenly Father was clear when He said – “Before Me no god was formed, nor will there be one after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and apart from Me there is no savior.” and “I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.” (Isaiah 43:10-11 & Isaiah 46:9-10)
It should not be a surprise that AI attempts to counterfeit what God has already perfectly created – us. Like satan, the father of lies, AI can only manipulate, deceive and attempt to imitate what already exists, with the ultimate goal being us in bondage to something that is NOT real (hence the name artificial/should be a red flag) Jesus died to set us free – so of course our enemy wants to enslave us. Jesus warned – “For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect – if that were possible.” (Matthew 24:24)
Heavenly Father, let Your Truth, Your Living Word, guide us and protect us and prevent us from falling victim to any “good sounding” but false ideologies and ideas put forth by our current culture, especially those of AI. Give us Your wisdom and discernment as we want to follow You and not any imposter. May we know Your Word well, so that we won’t be fooled.
“There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.” (Proverbs 16:25)

There is no better time than now to memorize as much scripture as we can! The scriptures carry a great power behind them! and no mechanical means or false narratives can overcome that power….. or negate or abolish it!
ITS CRITICAL THAT BELIEVERS GP OUT AND PURCHASE PRINT COPIES OF THE BIBLE NOW BEFORE AI REWRITES IT. WE WILL NOT BE TOLD THAT AI HAS REWRITTEN IT WHEN IT HAPPENS. I HAVE ALREADY SEEN DECEPTIVE DIGITAL VERSES.
Father we stand in the authority that You have given us – and we bind every lying spirit and cut off its spiritual head in the mighty Name of Jesus! We say that every anti-Christ spirit is bound from operating in our nation!
We loose the spirit of truth – knowing that You said whatever we bind or loose on earth – that all of heaven stands behind!
May Your people set themselves in agreement knowing there is great power released as we agree in prayer! 🙏
So glad my relationship with God is not based on a religion made by words, but by the living breathing word of God. 💖
