As America prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary, believers and leaders from across the nation are gathering in Washington, D.C., for a major event centered on prayer, worship, and national rededication. Organizers say the White House’s upcoming “Rededicate 250” gathering will serve as both a celebration of God’s faithfulness throughout American history and a call to seek His guidance for the nation’s future.

Pray for your fellow intercessor.

From Breitbart:

As America’s semiquincentennial celebration swiftly approaches, the country as a whole is remembering everything God has done since the nation’s inception. The celebration of God’s providence will take place on the National Mall on May 17 and will feature “Scripture, testimony, prayer, and rededication of our country as One Nation to God.”

“…Rededicate 250 will be rooted in giving thanks for God’s presence in our national life throughout 250 years of American history and asking for his guidance for the next 250,” Freedom 250, the organization leading the way on America’s 250th birthday celebration, said on its website previewing the event.

The event, which is free to all, will feature several notable government and faith leaders, including Reverend Franklin Graham, House Speaker Mike Johnson, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, former HUD Secretary Dr. Ben Carson, and many others …

The all-day gathering on the National Mall will include worship music, fellowship, testimony, prayer, and messages from prominent Christian leaders representing a wide range of traditions. Christian artist Chris Tomlin is scheduled to headline the event, while organizers say the day will focus on reflecting on God’s providence, sharing testimonies of healing, and asking for God’s blessing on the next 250 years of American history.

The event is part of a broader movement surrounding America’s upcoming semiquincentennial celebration, with many believers viewing this milestone as more than a historical anniversary. For countless Christians across the nation, this moment represents an opportunity for repentance, thanksgiving, and renewed commitment to the biblical principles that shaped America’s founding.

IFA is getting involved in the rededication as well. We recently launched a prayer guide designed to help you pray into the White House’s event. We’re also working on our own rededication event called “Rededicate America.” You can sign up for this event by clicking here.

As intercessors, we know America’s future depends not on politics alone, but on national repentance and dependence on God. Rededicate 250 is an answer to our prayers, as it shows that the President of the United States understands the important role that the Lord has played in our nation’s history, as well as the role He must play in our future.

Let’s thank God for this event, and let’s pray that it would shift the atmosphere in our nation!
