Intercessors Are Rededicating Their States to the Lord
As America approaches its 250th anniversary, a powerful question is rising among believers across the nation: will we continue down a path of rebellion, or will we return to God in rededication?
That question framed a recent edition of Pray with America’s Leaders, hosted by IFA Regional Field Leader Lisa Townsend, who gathered intercessors from across the country to pray, share testimonies, and highlight a growing grassroots movement sweeping through the states.

From the Northeast to the Deep South, leaders described how God is stirring His people to reclaim their spiritual heritage and boldly rededicate their states to Him. In New Jersey, intercessors traveled to the state capital in Trenton, walking through the halls of government in prayer and making a formal proclamation to dedicate the state back to the Lord. What began as a prompting quickly became a powerful moment of both joy and solemnity, as participants sensed the weight—and the significance—of their actions.
That same urgency is being felt in South Carolina, where a statewide effort is unfolding county by county. Teams of intercessors have already prayed through nearly every county seat, rededicating courthouses and communities to God. In a remarkable development, a state legislator even introduced a resolution to rededicate the entire state—an example of how prayer is not only impacting individuals, but influencing leaders and institutions.
In Florida, the movement is taking a different—but equally powerful—shape. Rather than beginning in the capital, intercessors launched their rededication effort during a gathering in Naples, sensing that God was removing spiritual barriers and reopening a well of revival that had once flowed freely. Leaders are already reporting signs of breakthrough, including the exposure of hidden darkness and increasing unity among believers.
Further north in Georgia, intercessors gathered at a historic Liberty Bell site, placing scripture-inscribed stones as memorials—just as Joshua did in the Old Testament. Their actions were not merely symbolic; they were declarations meant to awaken future generations and establish a lasting spiritual legacy. Leaders emphasized that this movement is not dependent on a single revivalist, but is instead equipping every believer to carry the fire of revival forward.
In Louisiana, God opened doors all the way into the state Senate chamber, where a formal rededication took place through the perseverance of faithful intercessors. What began as a burden on one woman’s heart became a moment of statewide significance, demonstrating how persistence in prayer can lead to influence at the highest levels of government.
Meanwhile, in Missouri, intercessors gathered at the steps of the state Supreme Court, speaking targeted declarations over the judicial system. By addressing both historical injustices and present-day challenges, they sought to bring healing to the land and align the state’s legal foundations with God’s righteousness.
Across every state represented, a common theme emerged: God is calling His people to act. This is not a passive season. Intercessors are being mobilized to step outside the walls of the church, into courthouses, capitols, and public spaces—reclaiming ground and declaring truth through prayer.
At the heart of this movement is the American Spiritual Heritage Project, a tool equipping believers to uncover their region’s spiritual history and participate in rededication efforts. Combined with upcoming national gatherings—such as IFA’s planned rededication event in Washington, D.C.—there is a growing sense that this is a defining moment for the nation.
As Lisa reminded viewers, the stakes are high. Spiritual darkness is not retreating quietly—but neither is the Church. This is a time to take up the full armor of God, to pray with boldness, and to stand in unity.
The question remains before us: will America continue in rebellion, or will we return to the Lord?
For intercessors across the nation, the answer is clear—and the time to act is now.
