I Prayed have prayed
Heavernly Father, we humbly ask that You would intervene on behalf of our farmers who are being hit by this extreme weather.

At least 1 million acres (405,000 hectares) of U.S. farmland were flooded after the “bomb cyclone” storm left wide swaths of nine major grain producing states under water this month, satellite data analyzed by Gro Intelligence for Reuters showed.

Farms from the Dakotas to Missouri and beyond have been under water for a week or more, possibly impeding planting and damaging soil. The floods, which came just weeks before planting season starts in the Midwest, will likely reduce corn, wheat and soy production this year.

“There’s thousands of acres that won’t be able to be planted,” Ryan Sonderup, 36, of Fullerton, Nebraska, who has been farming for 18 years, said in a recent interview…. (Extract from P.J. Huffstutter and Humeyre Pamuk article on Reuter News)

O Lord, the people focus on the flood of the land. but, O Lord, help them to see the “sin of the land”, and the “roots” which are yielding this “harvest”. The “love of money is the ROOT of ALL EVIL”. o LORD, may the people repent of their greed, covetousness, immorality, selfishness, and apathy. The people don’t want to hear about DC, about Africa, about the poor and the needy. Too many focus on “themselves, trivial things, and living the ‘good life'” (from the LORD), AND thus are out of focus. People have ignored the cries of the babies being butchered, of the poor and the suffering, and now their calamity has come upon them!! O Lord, open their eyes that they may see. Let Your glory fall. So that “seeing”, they will pray, and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, THAT YOU O LORD MAY HEAL THE LAND. O Lord we pray for revival, one of the greatest moves of God this country has ever seen. O Lord, wake the people up from their slumber, and restore the land.

Loving Heavenly Father, May these flood waters so fertilize the land they have covered with nutrients that they will bring forth more productive crops than ever before.
Lord God, everything we have comes from Your generous hand. I ask that you restore all that has been lost to these families. May they receive unexpected blessings above their loss. Your peace in the midst of trial, Your Joy instead sorrow, Your strength to deal with the toil of cleanup and Your wisdom to know when to rest. I bless them with Your Shalom (everything they need to be whole and complete).
May many come to know the abundant love of Jesus personally. Amen

O Lord God, sovereign and majestic, the establisher of truth, thank you for being in charge of everything. Because you overrule events no event can spin out of your control and there are no accidents with you. Natural disasters have historically been regarded as a sign of your displeasure. A sign that your people have drifted away from you in sin and neglect and should repent and return. Use this natural disaster catastrophe in rural America to return the affected people (those who are willing) to yourself. Your salvation and your forgiveness are glorious and are greatly needed by us now. Thank you for hearing my petition O Father, O Lord Jesus.

Lord, lift up the farmers and others inundated with floodwaters. Bless them with courage and hope. Give them strength and wisdom and always lead them to You. Let them reflect on Your power and mercy. We know Who You are in times of dearth and in times of plenty. “You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it. You drench its furrows and level its ridges; you soften it with showers and bless its crops. You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.” (Psalm 65:9-11) Don’t let anyone lose touch with their relationship with You: “Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. (Habakkuk 3:17-18) Amen.

Amen! We are one of the families effected by this flood. Thank you for your prayer. I needed my sister in Christ’s words from our God this morning. Please pray that God would direct someone to change the Corp of Engineers manual. Back to the way it was first written. For water control. Not the environmentalist agenda. Thank you.

Lord, my heart goes out to those suffering with the flood. I pray that You use this disaster to force the government to rethink its policy on water control. Raise up the right person to find the balance we need in maintaining and thriving upon our environment. I pray specifically that our farmers receive the respect and the support they need from the public who eats the bounty they provide and yet expects the land to remain a wilderness. Make us wise, O Lord, in caring for the earth You have given us for our sustenance. Take care of those impacted by the flood and give them the strength and hope to advocate for the policies that will protect them from devastation.
      Amen.
