Former President Donald Trump’s team has launched a new social media platform called “GETTR,” and they call it an alternative to Big Tech sites.
The platform’s mission statement says it is fighting cancel culture, promoting common sense, defending free speech, challenging social media monopolies, and creating a true marketplace of ideas.
Former Trump senior adviser Jason Miller, who is leading the platform, told Fox News that the name GETTR was inspired by the idea of “Getting Together.”
“Let’s get together, we’re talking about a sense of community,” Miller told Fox during a recent interview. “We think it will ultimately be a global platform.”
He added, “We want people from all political stripes to join the platform.”
The app officially launched on July 4th, a move Miller says aligns with the true meaning of freedom.
“This ties in with Independence Day,” Miller said. “Independent from social media monopolies, independent from cancel culture; embracing free speech – our launch on Sunday is very much intentional.
“We believe there needs to be a new social media platform that really defends free speech, and one that doesn’t de-platform for political beliefs,” he continued. “This is a challenge to social media monopolies.”
GETTR users can post messages with up to 777 characters, host videos up to three minutes in length, and edit the videos within the app.
And Miller told Fox that users can “import their existing tweets into this new platform” after signing up.

Although I am not a spiritual man, I Only believe in Karma and have seen it work many times (cough cough Facebook) I would love to thank Mr Trump for making a better place to gather…Well done Mr President well done.

After reading the reviews I have a “check” in my spirit. I live alone so I begrudgingly use social media to connect with other intercessors. Jesus has healed people I prayed for over Zoom. God can use social media for His glory, however, we must test every spirit… Lord, thank You that You promise to give us wisdom when we lack it and ask for it. Thank You for Your Holy Spirit Who is the only voice we can trust. Thank You for Your living word that also provides us with every instruction we need to endure the times. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
There’s an amazing analogy I read between the late 15th century church & the government today. They got too big, too powerful, too corrupt & too expensive to maintain, then the printing press did them in. Same thing now with federal government , too big, too powerful, too corrupt, too expensive to maintain, now the information highway is doing them in. Thank you Lord!

No, I will not be joining as I shun most social media. My opinion is as polar as you can get to those who fully access these platforms. And it is simply that, an opinion.
I am not and will not be on ANY social media but am thankful for others who desire to do so have a new platform which, hopefully, will serve the need for those who do.
Someone needs to do something and I am glad this is a start. Gods kingdom needs to preside over cancel culture media.It is long overdue. We need to support this and do what we can to like Sarah said set some reasonable parameters. I am encouraged by this effort. The process may take some time and savvy, wit and money to be sure but it needs to be done. We can’t let them take over the airwaves any longer.

Help Donald Trump or anyone else with this vision: bless, protect guide, give courage to him and those involved through this process to successfully overtake the cancel culture media somehow someway. With Your help it can be done.
I have heard not so good things but And the fact a hacker getting into it after it was first launched and changing profiles and probably is the one responsible for porn I am reluctant to join that one at all.
