As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, Evangelist Sharon Bolan believes God is calling the nation to something greater than a commemoration of its history. She believes the Lord is preparing another spiritual awakening, and an upcoming gathering at a historic revival site could help ignite it.
Who is praying on the wall?
Bolan joined IFA Chief Program Officer Kris Kubal on Pray with America’s Leaders to discuss The Great ReAwakening, a gathering scheduled for October 23 that will bring intercessors together to worship, repent, and seek God’s intervention in America.
Bolan explained that the vision began with years of prayer for the nation. She pointed to the First Great Awakening, when evangelist George Whitefield preached throughout the American colonies during the 18th century, helping establish a spiritual foundation that preceded the nation’s founding.
According to Bolan, the Lord began directing her toward a particular field associated with Whitefield’s ministry. In early August, she felt God instructing her to organize a gathering there, despite having no established connections in the area and little time to prepare.
Bolan described how the arrangements unexpectedly fell into place. Although the location was reportedly booked for a year, a wedding cancellation opened an opportunity shortly before she contacted the venue.
For Bolan, the timing was evidence of God’s hand in the undertaking.
The evangelist emphasized that The Great ReAwakening is intended to be more than another Christian conference. Rather than centering the gathering around prominent speakers or personalities, she hopes to unite ordinary believers in a movement of repentance and spiritual renewal.
“We were once awakened, but we’ve fallen asleep,” she said, warning that much of the American church has lost the spiritual fervor that characterized previous generations.
Bolan stressed that revival must begin with individuals seeking a personal encounter with God. She encouraged intercessors not to depend on a single pastor or ministry leader to bring transformation, but to recognize their own responsibility to pray and speak God’s Word over the nation.
Kubal echoed that message, reflecting on America’s history of revival and the importance of seeking God during pivotal moments.
The two also discussed the significance of America’s 250th anniversary. Bolan believes the nation’s spiritual heritage should inspire believers to seek another move of God rather than simply celebrate what He has done in the past.
The Great ReAwakening will take place on Friday, October 23, beginning at 7 p.m. The free gathering will feature worship, prayer, and declarations over the nation. Additional information and registration are available at TheGreatReAwakening.com.
IFA will be present at The Great ReAwakening as well. We’ll have staff present both in the audience and on the stage. You don’t want to miss this exciting opportunity!
As the conversation concluded, Kubal and Bolan joined intercessors in prayer for the gathering, its organizers, and the future of America.
Their message was clear: America’s spiritual history is worth remembering, but its future requires continued prayer, repentance, and dependence on God.

A great awakening needs preachers willing to deliver fiery sermons as they did in this country 70 years ago. America needs to hear fire and brimstone sermons to wake this nation up to the consequences of continuing down our present path. Our people need to know without a doubt that Heaven and Hell are real. May God have mercy and send us preachers unafraid to preach the Truth and people willing to hear the Truth.
Bring this Revival to pass, Lord. Let it be an all-encompassing Great Awakening that will bring the lost souls to Your kingdom. One that will restore our nation morally and spiritually. Our nation DESPERATELY needs Your hand to move in a mighty and powerful way. Thank You Jesus.
The last revival occurred during my teen years, after I had submitted to Christ. I have prayed for another revival ever since. I am now 72 years old. I will continue to pray for revival until either the Lord’s return or my own death.
Father God, we are so thankful for the 250 years this country has been in existence because you brought it to pass. For many years, we were considered a Christian nation but then satan worked his evil deeds until the rotten under core has risen to the top. We bring our prayers to your portals for a Spiritual awakening in America and other coutries. We believe that according to your Word that we are seeing the things take place that you told would be before the return of Jesus so we pray that MANY, MANY souls may find their was to you very soon and be prepared to the rapture . Thank you for hearing and answering our prayers.
DEAR LORD GOD
PLEASE LEAD AMERICA INTO A TRUE REVIVAL
I ASK IN JESUS’ NAME
AMEN
Interesting! I am surprised. I am an Evangelist and Structural Engineer here in Maryland and I was recently hired to perform, and have performed a structural inspection assessment of the same large Bohemia Manor Resort Building there on Bohemia Manor Farm. From the top to the bottom. While there I looked out over the same field that extends from the resort down into the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. At least one man heard the message of Jesus on that day on the farm. Praying with you for many souls to awaken here in our state and across the states of this nation, that fire of revival will spread from North-to-South, East-to-West! Will plan to be there on October 23 to stand with everyone for Maryland and the other States. Lord, bless this Reawakening move of your Spirit, with your Spirit, and bring a fresh fire of revival down on our people and on our states, in Jesus Mighty Name and by the power of His blood covering over us. I plead your blood Jesus to cover our nation for a mighty impartation of blessings, breakthrough, and transformation- for a Reawakening! Amen!
God already told the blueprint for life through Moses. There are no relevant revelations other than what Moses wrote down, and the Prophets. The only revival is to quit idolatry!!!
We must serve others and less fortunate , and Jesus said he came to give his life “as a ransom for many” which includes you and myself. So we must also give our life and our finances for His Kingdom or we can build these huge houses/ monuments for ourselves and “waste” or bury the talents that God has given us in the dirt. Just a thought
yes, l join you in prayers for our nation, to draw ever closer to the dreams of our founding fathers, to put him first in all decisions and ask for his protection, in Jesus s name we pray.
I’m happy people are calling for a revival in America but don’t we need a personal revival based on biblical values? the Bible says women are to be silent in the church. women preachers are unscriptural. don’t holler at me if you don’t accept God’s Word.
I didn’t watch the video. Did anyone call her a preacher? She is credited as an evangelist. It is my understanding she is organizing the event ?? Is there information contrary to that ?? I am asking because I am planning on attending with a few members of my church.
The article states that she is an evangelist. I pray that many people’s hearts will be revived before, during and after this event. That true evidence of revival will be experienced by many for years to come. Testify of His amazing grace. May God the Father and His Only Son get all the glory, honor, power and praise. Amen
I am praying that revival fires in America from Whitefield on will be rekindled across America… praying also that the church will be delivered from the “religious spirit” so that we can be revived.
