I Prayed have prayed
Father, continue to protect our nation and help us to call on Your name.
Reading Time: 3 minutes

Over two million homes and businesses in Texas are without power Monday morning as winter storm Uri sweeps across the central United States. . . .

The alert turned into rotating outages that are likely to continue through Tuesday morning, according to grid managers. . . .

The report continued:

Texas set a winter peak demand record Sunday night, and that demand was expected to increase Monday and Tuesday as temperatures fall into the low single digits or colder. The rolling outages were supposed to last 15 to 45 minutes, utility operators said, but the bitter cold was impacting some remote systems and causing the outages to last longer than planned. . . .

Residents should keep their thermostat set at 68 degrees, avoid using appliances such as dishwashers, washing machines, and dryers, and turn off non-essential lights and other appliances. . . .

On Sunday, Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) announced that the White House issued a Federal Emergency Declaration for his state in response to the severe weather.

“This Federal Emergency Declaration authorizes the Federal Emergency Management Agency to provide emergency protective measures for mass care and sheltering and Direct Federal Assistance for all 254 counties in Texas,” the press release said.

The surge of cold air will settle in Monday evening into Tuesday morning, so residents should expect overnight temperatures to drop near zero or below in some northwest counties, according to WFAA. . . .

Just after 7:00 a.m., meteorologist Pete Delkus tweeted radar images of the snow moving toward the east:

. . .

Frozen wind turbines hamper Texas power output, state’s electric grid operator says

According to Austin American Stateman, “Nearly half of Texas’ installed wind power generation capacity has been offline because of frozen wind turbines in West Texas, according to Texas grid operators.

Wind farms across the state generate up to a combined 25,100 megawatts of energy. But unusually moist winter conditions in West Texas brought on by the weekend’s freezing rain and historically low temperatures have iced many of those wind turbines to a halt.

As of Sunday morning, those iced turbines comprise 12,000 megawatts of Texas’ installed wind generation capacity, although those West Texas turbines don’t typically spin to their full generation capacity this time of year. . . .

Fortunately for the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, which manages the state’s electric grid, the storm’s gusty winds are spinning the state’s unfrozen coastal turbines at a higher rate than expected, helping to offset some of the power generation losses because of the icy conditions.

“This is a unique winter storm that’s more widespread with lots of moisture in West Texas, where there’s a lot of times not a lot of moisture,” said Dan Woodfin, Senior Director of System Operations for the Electric Reliability Council of Texas. “It’s certainly more than what we would typically assume.” . . .

Wind power has been the fastest-growing source of energy in Texas’ power grid. In 2015 winder power generation supplied 11% of Texas’ energy grid. . . .

In Austin, wind power supplies roughly 19% of the city’s energy demands, all of which is passed from producers to consumers across the state grid. The city began adding several megawatts of wind energy capacity to its renewable energy portfolio in the 1990s from both West Texas and Gulf Coast wind farms. . . .

Electric demand is expected to exceed the state’s previous winter-peak record set in January 2018 by 10,000 megawatts. And peak demand expected for Monday and Tuesday is forecasted to meet or exceed the state’s summertime record for peak demand of 74,820 megawatts.

“Typically the ERCOT system peaks in the summer because of the air conditioning load, but we’re seeing forecasts of overall demand being that high in the next few days,” Woodfin said. . . .

Thank you all so much for the prayers. We are ones who only had power about one hour to an hour and a half three times during the lowest temps. We went 12 hours overnight Sunday night and into Tues. with no power. Now, we have had power for 24 hrs with no interruption while others have none. Very erratic supply. Thankfully we had 1 gas log fp that we were able to run on that coldest night. Internet, cable tv and landline phone have been out since this began, and Frontier who purchased Verizon is not answering any questions as to why svc is not being provided, even using the rolling blackouts as an excuse. They simply aren’t talking, which seems strange.

Having said all that – we FELT the shalom of God due to your prayers. Thank you. Earlier in the week they were fcstng above freezing temps for today (just barely) but now it looks like it will be tomorrow. We all are ready for this to end, as they began talking about potential bad weather coming 3 or 4 days before it finally hit, so we have been in suspense of normal life for a week now. God bless and thank you again. He is faithful to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory.

Lord Jesus we ask in Your great mercy to send relief soon. Guide and protect all those front line workers trying to restore power. Give the state leadership and engineers wisdom on how to improve the electoral grid so that such a disaster never occurs again.

We live in TX and we truly appreciate the prayers of everyone praying for our state and the people. It was brutal weather in many areas and many have suffered loss. I would ask intercessors to continue in prayer and as you are able, support reputable and established organizations that will be helping people recover. Many organizations such as Operation Blessing disaster relief (just as an example) will be helping assist people recover. Multiple states have and continue to be affected and we must pray and help them in anyway possible. Thank you intercessors for your prayers and concerns.

This is what happens when we move to Green New Deal energy like natural gas. Last time I checked, coal doesn’t freeze. Let’s quit the socialist natural gas nonsense and return to coal.

Father, we look to You for help. Jesus spoke peace to the winds and He and calmed the waters. Your Word gives us faith in Your mercy and supernatural powers. You are above all created things. For the sake of Your children and the souls of many we look up to You for guidance, just like Jesus did when He said, “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by Himself; He can do only what He sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does (John 5:19). Father You have given us the Keys of the Kingdom (Matthew 16:19), the power to make declarations and decrees that bind the powers of nature and the enemy and authority to release Your ministering spirits for help and support. Indeed even the power of mountain moving faith is a gift from You. We declare our belief in what You’ve said in Your Word. that “creation awaits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed’ (Romans 8:19). We therefore rise as Your children revealed in Your love and power to bind, reduce, redirect, and defuse the storm that is named Uri, which in Hebrew means my light, my fire. We declare You Father God as our Light and Fire, You are Uri and we release Your Holy Light and Fire upon Central America and especially Texas. We decree that Your light and fire will unthaw the turbines so that they can produce abundant electricity, blowing Your breathe on the turbines to increase their speed and output of power. We bind the powers of those who would use these unfortunate weather conditions and COVID pandemic to abuse Your children physically, emotionally, and financially. May all those who are looking up to You for their rescue and salvation find more than what they need. We pray for good to came out of this experience. For Your saving grace to bring forth a revival that shows these people You care and are able to provide for them in every way. We also pray for Your intervention in halting and reversing Biden’s Executive Orders that defy Your will for our nation. We decree that sanity of life prevails in America, that no public funds are used to pay for abortions in America and abroad, and that Your image that is revealed in the genders of male and female will be respected. We pray for truth and justice and righteous public and private leadership. Continue to expose the lies and the fraud and bring Your fury and judgment upon the wicked, bringing them down from their perches and raising up the righteous leaders who will do Your will. Vindicate and reappoint President Trump, a man after Your own heart. On behalf of those seeking to do evil, we repent on their behalf and ask that You give them a St. Paul experience to know Your truth that they would repent. We also ask for the Keystone pipeline to open up again. Let this storm show our government that we must have a variety of means to provide energy. We ask and declare these things with thanksgiving in Jesus’ name. Amen!

AMEN to Alma’s prayer. Also, Father, we add that where there may be nefarious actors and actions in man-made attempts to affect weather conditions, we call forth Your intervention to bring those plans for destruction to naught. We declare that any attempt to weaponize weather and/or biological conditions will fail. Instead, those attempts will produce greater growth in the good health and thriving salubrious climate for all that You have created. We also reject and forbid continued attempts to promote fear as well as falsehood related to peoples’ perceptions of vulnerability. We thank You Father that You are the Author of life and freedom and we align ourselves with Your will and ways through consciously, continually and attentively dwelling in and engaging with Your Word and Presence. We put our total trust in You and commit to relying on and following YOU exclusively as our Commander in Chief, as You empower us to manifest and impact others with redemptive thoughts, words and actions. Thank You Father. We choose to honor Your Son JESUS by desiring and praying these things in His glorious Name. Amen.

Àbba Father God, how I thank You that Your love is unfailing and Your mercy endures forever. I thank You for Psalm 107 that teaches all of us that when we humble ourselves , repent of all our evil ways, and cry out to You in our times of trouble, You will deliver us out of our distress, we pray today in Jesus’name, that You will do the same for all these folks, let them know You love them and restore not only their electricity but everything the thief only came to steal, kill, and destroy in their lives so they can have, live, and enjoy the more than abundant life You came to Earth to give them when You came to Earth to redeem them from their distress. We won’t forget to thank You for all these wonderful deeds You do for them, in Jesus’name and for His glory and fame, we pray. Amen.

Father, there is little water in Houston, the taps are barely flowing. Many are scared, cold and hungry here and all over Texas. I know you hear our every prayer but You see ALL the need of ALL those suffering. I pray You would act ahead of the need, and ask if You would ease all fear by bringing relief. I pray this next storm is not another beast, as predicted but a lamb, in the Name of Jesus. Amen

Abba Father, please watch over the state of Texas and the many people who live and work here. Especially keep them covered with your armor so they can withstand whatever they encounter in the days ahead. Provided them with all they need to stay warm, sheltered and safe wherever they are. Thank you Father for the men and women protecting our state and the workers trying to restore power, keep roads cleared, and those working to help feed and watch over our most vulnerable population – the sick, the elderly, the children, the needy and the first responders. In Jesus’ most holy name I pray for Your intervention and easing of these dangerous conditions according to Your will. Amen
