House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced Monday that she will establish what she described as an “outside, independent 9/11-type Commission” to investigate last month’s deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol.
In her weekly letter to colleagues, Pelosi said the commission will “investigate and report on the facts and causes relating to the January 6, 2021, domestic terrorist attack upon the United States Capitol Complex … and relating to the interference with the peaceful transfer of power.” . . .
Pelosi’s announcement comes two days after the U.S. Senate voted to acquit former President Donald Trump over his conduct leading up to the riot during which five people died, including a U.S. Capitol Police officer. The Senate voted 57-43 to acquit the former president, with seven Republican senators voting in favor of conviction.
High profile Senate Democrats, including Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) have expressed support for a 9/11 commission to investigate the riot.
“There’s still more evidence that the American people need and deserve to hear and a 9/11 commission is a way to make sure that we secure the Capitol going forward,” Coons said. “And that we lay bare the record of just how responsible and how abjectly violating of his constitutional oath President Trump really was.” . . .
In a blistering speech after the vote, the Kentucky Republican said the president was “practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of that day” but that the Senate’s hands were tied to do anything about it because Trump was out of office. The Senate, in an earlier vote, had deemed the trial constitutional.
“It was powerful to hear the 57 guilties and then it was puzzling to hear and see Mitch McConnell stand and say ‘not guilty’ and then, minutes later, stand again and say he was guilty of everything,” said Rep. Madeleine Dean, D-Pa. “History will remember that statement of speaking out of two sides of his mouth,” she said. . . .

man (woman) plans god directs
My best guess is that this “commission” is not at all what it seems. It’s being set up as a distraction to steer people away from the actual truth. I’m sure that doesn’t surprise anyone.
* Lord, you alone know exactly what is in the heart of every person. You alone can see with your eyes what people are “up to” and what their real goals or agenda is. Whether their goals are pure or evil.
We ask Lord that if their intentions are good, then bless them. But if their intentions are not good but evil, then expose them and deal with justice immediately with all involved. Let not them have any success, favor and don’t allow them to damage any individuals. If they intend to do evil, allow it to boomerang back on them. In Jesus name we pray amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, I think it is obvious to anyone who values truth and justice that these people are interested only in pressing their own evil agenda and getting revenge on anyone they perceive as having stood up to them. Lord please confound their efforts and let their actions serve to open the eyes, hearts, and minds of even more of our countrymen and women to their deceptions and schemes. Lord lead us through this dark time and deliver us from their evil. In Jesus precious name I pray O’ Lord, Amen!
Lord please work all things to your glory — even these evil schemes— call these wicked people to you and help them see.
Arise Lord and let Your enemies be scattered. We decree that every scheme and deception of Satan, turning the focus of our politicians from real issues to frivolous vindictive pursuits be destroyed right now in Jesus name. May the evil spirits manipulating their minds and decisions receive the fiery wrath of God and be consumed to nothingness in Jesus name. Let the scales fall off their eyes; let the veil be lifted; and let Christ be glorified in Jesus name, Amen.
Lord, cause this scheme of vengeance and distraction to crumble. In Jesus’ name.
Lord God we thank you and praise you now ..that you know exactly what they are up to…and their schemes will fall back on themselves in record, boomerange time and speed!..that their attempts to attack, destroy will not touch your people..period. Instead the wolves will step into their own traps! In Jesus name. Amen
