Facebook announced on Wednesday the social media platform will in the coming weeks start limiting the amount of political content viewers see on their news feeds. . . .

The change will begin with Facebook temporarily reduce the distribution of political content in News Feed for a small percentage of people in Canada, Brazil and Indonesia this week.

Gupta said the process will begin in the U.S. in the coming weeks. . . .

Facebook has in recent months and years attempted to reducing political content, include no new political ads in the final week of the 2020 presidential campaign. However, the company and other social media giants have meanwhile faced growing scrutiny of what third-party content they choose to censure or block.

“Our goal is to preserve the ability for people to find and interact with political content on Facebook, while respecting each person’s appetite for it at the top of their News Feed,” Gupta said.

Actually, it is Good since not All the information being “feed” into their system revealed TRUTH But..now I feel led to make it a focus today that the “fake news and TicTok be replaced
with Godly content.”
May God be Glorified… Amen

I have already noticed that there is a reduction in political input. Definitely limiting our freedome of speech.

I’ll say it again. Christians should abandon FB and use alternative SocMed. There is plenty available. Abandon Twitter also.
Parler is up and running again – that is one free speech alternative that actually honors the 1st amendment.
And we should be hammering away at our legislators, both state and federal to remove Sec. 230 protection from FB, Twitter, etc. They are monopolies that are directly attacking citizens 1st amendment rights and looking to crush or erase your voice. Your legislators at all levels have the power to enact legislation to strip these monopolies of their corporate dictatorships. That is part of their job and it’s up to us to hold them to it.

It is unconstitutional, and it is a violation of our God-given human rights, and an over-reach of the powers that be here on Earth! But the powers that be here on Earth who are Anti- Christ and His people whom He made free by Truth will find it is very hard to kick against the pricks because they aren’t persecuting and robbing us of anything, they are fighting with our God who opposes the proud but gives grace to those who are humble and He will thrawt their every plan
as a matter of fact, laugh off their their every scheme of their father, the devil, and they will find themselves, fallen, in the very same pits they set to entrap us and hanging on the very same gallows on which they planned to hang us and somehow God will take every weapon they formed to use to steal, kill, and destroy us and our children and turn those very same weapons around and work them all together for our good , God”s glory, and renown because we love God and have been called according to His purpose and He fights every battle
for His children and wins every battle He fights for His children, and we always triumph in Christ.. Thank You, Lord, in Jesus’name. Amen.

My question is, “How do they define political content?” It sounds as if they want to appear neutral likely because people are looking for alternatives given their bias practices. I doubt that their definition will ever coincide with mine, therefore, I am not blinded by words. Colossians 2:4 says-I say this so that no one will delude you with persuasive argument. Why should FaceBook be trusted? I am reminded of the verse that addresses “false prophets who come in sheep’s clothing.” May God give you wisdom always.

If people would boycott facebook and twitter there would be no more facebook or twitter they would go bankrupt. There are other ways to communicate.

I do not agree. They are just trying to pass their agenda We still live in a free country and people have the right to believe whatever rather right or wrong and listen or read both sides and seek the truth themselves Its the enemy trying to shut down the Christians

I think it’s another way of f preventing Christians from sharing their faith & beliefs. if it weren’t so, they wouldn’t interrupt the live prayers we have once we share to friends.
