I Prayed have prayed
God, help us pray for the leadership and students at these universities, who are experiencing Your presence. Keep the fire burning, God, until every person on the earth is touched with Your glory.
Reading Time: 3 minutes

Universities across our nation train and prepare for handling a mass shooter. It is vital that they be prepared for such an act, as this could save many lives. I dare say, however, that not many universities are prepared for the day when Jesus walks through their doors.

When I first heard of the Asbury revival, I was excited; I still am. I knew it had begun and would soon spread across our land. We are now hearing reports of revival at Lee University, in Tennessee; Cedarville University, in Ohio; Oral Roberts University, in Oklahoma; and the University of the Cumberlands, in Kentucky — to name just a few.

Reading about these current revivals, I can’t help but think back to 1994, when the Toronto Blessing began, in Canada. The church I attended at that time was not in agreement with this move of God — but something in my heart drew me. I heard about a church that was taking a bus to Toronto, so I called to see if I could get a seat. I was told that the bus was full, but that if I was willing to sit on the floor, I could go nonetheless. I went. I stayed in a room with four women I had never met and with whose church I had no affiliation. This was well out of my personal comfort zone, but I was hungry and searching. That’s what I see in these revivals as well: hunger and searching. And He has been found.

I, for one, am thrilled that God is revealing Himself across our nation — not in one place only, but in many. Not in the best-known ministries, but among the nameless. And among the next generation. It is glorious to watch. What is not pleasant to watch is the negative comments, especially on social media.

“Why are they setting hours?”

“Why are they shutting down for a day?”

“Why are they trying to stop what God is doing?”

In response to these comments, I simply shake my head and ask God for mercy for these folks. As I’ve said, no one is trained for how to handle such a thing, especially not at our universities. So those in the midst of the revival are simply doing the best they can, and they are doing so with wisdom and grace. Instead of being critical, let’s keep them in prayer daily. Rather than share our negative comments, let us thank God Almighty that He has chosen to pour Himself out on the generation coming behind us.

Make no mistake, if this generation becomes saturated with the presence and power of God, our world will be changed. It will be a drastic transformation. The very change we have been praying and crying out to God for. Let’s take note that we have been asking God to come back into our schools. He is back; this is an answer to prayer! In a big way! Therefore, let’s ask God to show us how to pray and stand in faith for these universities that are now experiencing something they were not expecting.

Attending the Toronto Blessing changed my life forever. These moments in time will do the same for every college student, teacher, and visitor who experiences the power of God at these gatherings. It can be another Upper Room experience like the one we see in the book of Acts. If so, may it spread across our land, touching every city and state with the glory of God.

Oh Father God, keep the fire burning within the hearts of this younger generation and may it spread to the rest of your ‘house’, then
to the rest of the world! Thank you fulfilling your word which says that in the last days you will “pour out your Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams [and] your young men will see visions.” Please continue this great movement of your Holy Spirit until all who are predestined for eternal life have surrendered their lives to you! Amen.

Praise Our Magnificent Almighty Father for what He is doing worldwide. I just heard from my Christian brother who toils among the African nations who are growing exponentially in Christ every day. And, yes in America where there is a great need to enlighten the Godly youth of America with the Holy Spirit so that their lives may be a blessing to unbelievers. I attended this morning a prayer breakfast in my home town of Woodstock, VA where most of the 50+ attendees are over 60 years old and some are in their 80’s. Nevertheless, these guys are on fire for the Lord and it shows every week during devotions and throughout the weeks, months, and years. We are the aged revivalists looking to make a difference for Our Creator on a local scale that seems to be miraculous at times. May He have His way with us!!!

In reading the comments below, it appears that the college’s infrastructure cannot withstand the influx of people using toilets, creating trash, etc.

As we pray for this revival to move to secular universities, perhaps that will take some of the burden off the current college. There are many colleges and universities that could use a move of revival due to their current curriculum- requiring 0ccult movies to watched and meditation to be done during psychology 101.

“Perseverance Gets Results”. Quoting a great Minister of Faith—- “ If God tells us in 1 Timothy 2:4, it’s His Will for all men to be saved, why are we not seeing more of the masses if lost people born again every day? I have … and I sought the Lord about it, I’ve come to realize that, for the most part, it’s because those of us who are already saved does not pray persistently for those who are not..” As I read Kim’s words today about the comments of negativity, I understand the frustration of the WHY? “ Why are they setting hours?””
“Why are they shutting down for a day?”
“Why are they trying to stop what God is doing?” Perseverance Gets Results” First of all Father show them that if the University cuts hours, maybe they do not understand themselves that God has given them a key to success for intercessions. God never changes His mind if He wants this to continue it will, because He has More prayer warriors to pick up the slack. We can do it, find a church or home that will allow prayer time to take place. Pray for the leaders of University that they have a greater hunger, pray that they need to make sure they are doing Gods will to cut time. Remember this is a dark spiritual fight against the demonic forces that are trying to keep Gods Will from being accomplished. Father God show them complaining will never help but continued prayer is the Key. The forces of Hell must be broken down through prayer. The strongholds that held us captive need to be destroyed. God speaks of spiritual blinders in His words that stop people from seeing the Manifestation of God and what He is doing. God as I read and feel discouragement rising up,, I call down these stronghold blinders to be removed from the ones we are praying for. Father God I understand that you will not go against the will of any person, but I do understand that you, God will listen and move through our prayers of intercession to reveal Himself to them. Luke 11:8 AMP “ I tell you, even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity[a] he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.” V. 9–9“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you“ Jesus I pray that the complaints will stop and wisdom will hit home to others that sitting around and complaining will only give demonic spirits a head way. I pray that they will get busy with doing what God called all of us to do! intercede for Miracles, Persevere in prayer . Jesus if they do not know how to pray I release Gods words over all to pray Gods words. Ephesians 1:16:23 “”I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. 17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit[a] of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength” I declare in the Holy name of Jesus that all must understand, WE ALL must pray in unity and realize we do not necessarily need to be on a University campus to Receive Gods presence. We must realize we are extensions of Jesus Christ Ministry. Father God today we appeal to heaven for your mercy and Grace that nothing will stop what You have begun in America. I declare the evil strongholds will be exposed and that truth and light will prevail. I thank you Jesus for all you are doing and your love for us. Jesus I ask for Your will be done on earth as in heaven. Be blessed!

“.. let’s ask God to show us how to pray and stand in faith for these universities that are now experiencing something they were not expecting.”

Dear Father God, I pray in faith for these universities and ask for You to continue to grow this list to include so many more. I pray Jesus, You will walk through the doors of universities in AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, GA, HI, IL, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OR, PA, RI, VT, VA, WA, WI. These are said to be blue states, turn them red Lord, in Your precious blood. I pray we run out of words trying to define this moment. I pray we run out of desire to control it. I pray this and so much more in the Name Above All Names, Jesus Christ. Amen.

I don’t agree with the negative comments revolving around the Asbury Revival, but I understand some of them.
We have not been thinking about how such a flux of people into this tiny community has impacted the law enforcement departments to the max. They are physically worn out.
There are always going to be complainers… but it’s because they don’t understand the spiritual realm.
We need to pray for their Salvation and coming in to such a personal relationship with Jesus that they pitch in to help instead of complain.

Practical work must still be done even amoungst the Glory.
Maintenance of grounds and buildings still need done. Think restroom cleaning , trash removal etc.. Let the institutions make decisions needed . Your not in their shoes. .🙏

What is negative about these questions? It seems to me the people who asked them want the revival to continue uninterrupted and that is a good sentiment, even if it’s continuation, in the same manner that it’s been occurring, may be impractical.
“Why are they setting hours?”

“Why are they shutting down for a day?”

“Why are they trying to stop what God is doing?”

I agree wholeheartedly…let the Holy Spirit lead and guide this Revival however he chooses. We must stand in agreement with these leaders to steward what God is doing and not prevent this movement to be thwarted in any way. Including our words. May God have all the Glory and Praise. In Jesus name.

Thank you, Kim, for highlighting areas of concern, for which all intercessors have the privilige to pray about. I thank you, Jesus, that You ARE moving, not only in Asbury, but at other college campuses as well. Please, by Your great grace, let this spirit of revival and renewal spread like wildfire to our local churches and colleges. I pray for revival in our local colleges where I live. I pray that each and every revival that takes place will be honest and legitimate, Holy Ghost-centered, genuine and true. Thank You, Jesus.

There is some talk about the definition of the word “revival” as to it applying to those at AU… but we should not be diverted or distracted at all! Just reading and knowing that it is happening is reviving ME, and I believe the same is happening to thousands who also read, and pray. I call it the move of the Holy Spirit, and I say Yea Lord do it again! Again!

Agreed, the students also have classes and schedules to maintain. God can work in all of it . May we just be thankful and pray for changed hearts and lives. We don’t need labeling and criticism but joy and wonder at this beautiful touch of God.

Thank you, Jesus for pulling me to Hughs Hall on Day 10 to join with thousands of “men of good will” to praise you, pray for and encourage each other. Friends, three hours in freezing cold without a hat or coat was worth it. The fire of the Holy Spirit truly sustained us! If Lary from Vevay reads this, call me at 513-3420-1847. I want to return the hat you lent me. God bless you, dear brother in Jesus. What a wait we had! God Bless you and your family.

I was at the Asbury Revival for 2 days and it was a wonderful experience of hosting the Holy Spirit. The flow and administration of this was a sight to embrace and learn from. The sweet gentle Spirit of God was embraced and experienced. The people were all so patient and friendly and the needs of all were ministered to in such a way that you felt the love of God. The school adjusted each day to the needs of the people and expanded to their capacity with so much grace, I am still in awe of God’s people and the flow of unity. Let’s enjoy the move of God in every location that He is welcomed. Invite Him to your home, your church and your community.

Praying that God will continue to pour out His power in the lives of all who desire to be fully surrendered toHim. Praying that this moment will stand the test of time and that 25 years from now these same students will still be fully devoted followers of Christ and bringing up the next generation to be the same. God, please prevent the Enemy from interfering in any way. In Jesus name I pray.

Yes, Lord, I agree with Kim. Father, give us the grace to protect what You’re doing, especially when we don’t understand. And, Father, prepare us for the “backlash” that will come from opposing forces, especially that religious spirit that will attempt to rise up and snuff out the joy, wonder, awe of Your presence. Help us to be keepers of this moment in our lives. And, Lord, I personally am overwhelmed with the ways You are answering the prayers of so many faithful leaders who’ve cried out to You for decades. I give You all the praise and the glory. “Great is the Lord and Most worthy to be praised.” Hallelujah, Lord.! Amen.

I praise God for this revival and may His mighty wind of His presence continue to blow across our land and the world! God moves in the lives of young people because they are searching for answers. I was 24 when I answered His call during the Catholic charismatic movement in 1973 and I have never looked back. He changed my life forever. Praise God!

Almighty God, I thank you for redeeming me when I was in high school and far from you. Thank you for Christian girls who took me under their wing and discipled me and led me to you. It is powerful to see young people on fire for more of you! Continue this work of your Spirit I pray! In Jesus mighty name, May every power that would come against this revival fail miserably I pray. I give you all glory and praise Lord Jesus! Help us to join with you in what you’re doing and offer support and intercession and not criticism.

I’ve never been one to use the word “revival”. It’s not in the Bible anywhere. So how do I describe it? It’s fanning the embers of the fire that was placed inside me when I received the “filling of The Holy Spirit”. I couldn’t stop reading my Bible. I couldn’t stop thinking about God. I was grateful to Jesus for everything. I wanted to live in His Presence constantly. Then, the cares of the world slowly seeped into my existence and the fire was slowly going out. I needed the “wind” of The Spirit to blow on those embers. That’s what happened to me at Asbury University on Sunday. I was there from 4:15 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. I took some videos, just short moments of about 20 seconds and when I play them I have such a desire to return to that place. We must change our church services to be a time of worship. There should be more worship and less lifeless sermons that are not bringing people to Jesus.

I like what Jesse Duplantis said about “revival” … Christians should be living “VIVED” all the time so we don’t have to be “RE- VIVED”.
But most revivals are geared towards getting the unsaved saved… yet at the same time it restores hope in the hearts of God’s Children, especially after 3 years of a constant barrage of “the powers that be” trying to tear down.
