LIBERTY UNDER RELENTLESS ATTACK–HOW WE FIGHT BACK

Father, we pray that Your Church would arise and shine for Your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen up on us to shine like stars in the sky! (Is 60:1; Phil 2:15)

Everywhere we look our liberties are under attack. We have governors imposing oppressive Executive Orders that are decimating our rights. These are no longer being done just by liberal governors like Ralph Northam in Virginia, but even arguably conservative governors like Greg Abbott in Texas. We are seeing a universal push for socialism and redistribution of wealth that is bankrupting our nation through trillions of dollars of stimulus money, and this too is not coming just from liberal progressives, but even self-proclaimed conservatives who attest to believing in the principles of limited government and stemming the tide of the ever-growing Deep State. And we even see our liberty being attacked within the corporate body of Christ. Even well-intentioned and respected pastors are lecturing the Church that our liberty is to be curtailed by those within the Church who do not yet possess a revelation of liberty, and that shutting down the liberty we have in Christ is not only somehow godly and loving, but also those who do not can be condemned and have their hearts judged by the rest of the Church as unloving and selfish. Literally, everywhere we turn, liberty is under a blatant and full-blown attack.

I have learned to watch the strategy of the enemy. If the enemy is doing everything that he can to decimate liberty, then I am going to do all I can to sound the alarm that we need to rise up and defend LIBERTY! That is why I feel compelled to boldly confront those BELIEFS or doctrines of demons that are being used to bring the body of Christ into submission to tyranny, domination, fear, and lies. Please note that I am confronting wrong BELIEFS, I am not attacking those who BELIEVE them. I personally believe that when Jesus overturned the tables of the money changers and called out those who were leading people astray from the truth a “brood of vipers” He was actually addressing the demons who were ministering to those people. Just like he wasn’t calling Peter “Satan” when He said to get behind Him, but was speaking to the voice ministering to Peter. We see throughout Scripture Jesus actually speaking to demons. Likewise, there are times we must confront destructive beliefs that present a false narrative or even a false gospel—beliefs that lead to death, not LIFE. There is a way that seems right to men, but the ways thereof are death. But Jesus came that we may have life and life abundant. In fact, HE is life. So, all our beliefs should point us to hope and life, NOT fear and death.

There is a seeming lack of faith in the abundant goodness and completeness of the work at the Cross. Jesus did not say, “It is partially completed.” Rather, HE boldly proclaimed, “It is finished!” Yet, in this evil day, we do not see many who appear to actually believe this. There is a way that seems right to man (aka: CDC, WHO, Dr. Fauci) and the ways thereof are death. Why do we as the body of Christ place more trust in the medical profession than we do the Great Physician? Both the CDC and Johns Hopkins have documented that the 3rd leading cause of death in the U.S. right after heart disease and cancer is medical mistake. Yet we put much more trust in these “experts” than we do the promises of God, and we do this even though they keep changing their minds as to what really works.

We see church after church submit to the tyranny of over-expansive government control and shutdown, impose mask mandates, social distance, and even tell the sick to stay home. Why would a church that truly believes that “when we lay hands on the sick, they shall recover” tell those who need a touch from the Lord to stay home?

What did Christ mean when He said we were to render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s, but unto God that which is God’s? The government’s ability to constrain our behavior should never be suffered to encroach upon an area which is a duty we owe to God. James Madison defined “religion” in the Virginia Constitution, Article 1, Section 16, as “our duties owed to God.” Undeniably we have a duty to preach salvation to the lost, deliverance to those in bondage, and healing to those who are sick.

Yet, many churches, even those who have for years preached the miraculous healing power of Jesus, are now suddenly afraid. Afraid of what? A tiny, minute virus that must bow the knee to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords? Or are we afraid of government retaliation or being thrown into prison, as though there is no precedent for that in Scripture? Or are we afraid of offending those with less faith or revelation that the completed work of the Cross includes the promise of health and healing?  (Jesus did show us God’s heart by healing everyone who came to him.) This last fear of “offending” or “being a stumbling block” to others has been weaponized to shame or condemn anyone wishing to walk in the liberty of boldly standing in faith, not fear. It is scripturally unsupportable to say that those of us of faith are to show love to those who are still in bondage to fear by rejecting our liberty in Christ in an effort to reaffirm or not offend their fearfulness. Scripture is clear that perfect love casts out ALL fear, so love would always want to deliver others from the dominion of fear. Also, Scripture clearly defines Christ Himself as an offense and a stumbling block. Therefore, to misinterpret verses in Romans 14 in such a light that steals away the liberty we stand in, and then uses it as an excuse to judge the hearts of those walking in faith is biblically illogical.

If the interpretation that the strong must show love by removing the liberty they walk in to conform to the lack of faith the weak still feel, then Paul was way off when he scolded Peter. Peter did exactly what this misinterpretation suggests—he modified his liberty to conform to the behavior of those who didn’t yet realize they had the freedom to eat with the uncircumcised. Not only that, but also Jesus would have been off when He purposely offended others bound by the law by choosing to heal on the Sabbath. Clearly, this is not how Scripture should be interpreted. Instead, those verses should be read harmoniously with the rest of the chapter—none of us should judge the other: neither the weak the strong, nor the strong the weak. And further, each one is to be convinced of our own behavior, not modifying it through the fear of man. Instead, we are to stand fast in the liberty whereby Christ has made us free and be not entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

This freedom, hope, and light are crucially important as we are currently facing a huge opportunity for the body of Christ to arise. In the face of great darkness, fear, sickness, and lack, we can shine forth the light of the Gospel that all the answers are found in Christ. If we truly believe this, I am convinced that the world will be knocking down our doors to discover what we have: perfect incorruptible health, supernatural expansion of provision, and a peace that passes all understanding.

And for those who say, “Well, we can’t do that because we have to honor government restrictions,” I would reply that your answer is proof that the Church has been truly remiss in teaching the biblical framework of authority versus raw power. All authority is given to Christ; so, when civil rulers operate outside of proper authority, they are no longer exercising authority, but raw tyrannical power, and it becomes our biblical responsibility to throw off such oppression. That is the very definition of when to use biblical civil disobedience. The enemy is the one who brings domination, control, and slavery. Conversely, Jesus brings truth and a revelation that sets us free. The longer we succumb to tyranny, the more liberties we lose, and the more we become irreversibly enslaved.

I, like many, am looking, waiting, hoping for anyone to rise up in leadership and expose all the lies the enemy is perpetrating on our nation, rather than accept them and cower in the shadows. The Democrat Party leadership is actively promoting the narrative of fear, death, and legitimizing government oppression, even blaming President Trump for not doing enough. The Republican Party leadership, of which I am a member, are also in fear, silent, looking to government programs and socialism as the answer, and encouraging the wearing of masks, social distancing, testing, and the hope for an answer through Pharmakeia. Even more upsetting is that respected leaders in the body of Christ who profess to believe in healing are likewise complying with the fear-based protocols and even shaming those who would stand in faith, judging them and their hearts as being selfish. Meanwhile, many Christians know that we have the answer and are waiting for someone, anyone, to stand up and be the voice of hope.

So, this is my prayer and my request of you who do BELIEVE, let’s be that voice. Join me and hundreds of thousands of other believers who truly BELIEVE! Click on this link to subscribe to messages of hope and mobilization of WE THE PEOPLE.

Let’s not succumb to fear, government oppression, or shaming, and condemnation. Remember, it was against the law to approach a leper in Jesus’ day, yet He not only laid hands on them and healed them, He even sent his disciples out to do the same. The light shines brightest the darker it is. In these dark days let us Arise, and shine, for His light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon us, and we are called to shine among them like stars in the sky! (Is 60:1; Phil 2:15)

  1. LORD,tear down the walls of religion! We have been institutionalized by religion. We are divided. Our nation is divided just like the church. When we truly look to You oh LORD then we become fearless. Help us to become one with You. You are our hiding place. Call Your prophets forth to proclaim the Word of the LORD. You are preparing a great harvest during this Divine Pause, we the Body of Christ must be ready to minister to these lost souls full of fear. How can we minister if we too are full of fear. LORD, set the captive free. Heal our nation! In Jesus/Yeshuas powerful Name. Amen

  2. The Lord revealed to me a simple but profound way to fight back to restore our battered economy:
Use cash every way possible. Don’t
Use your debit card. Only use your
    Credit card when absolutely
    Necessary. Don’t believe that
    Nonsense about lack of coins.
When it comes to actual in your
    hand money,YOU ARE IN CONTROL
    Of your destiny financially.
    AMEN and AMEN

  3. Ms Dunbar:
Excellent word!I am praying in accordance with your plea to all the proactive believers to engage the enemy in their sphere of influence. Some of us are types like Joshua on the battlefield and some of us are like Moses on the mountain top warring in the spirit world. Know this Cynthia: We’ve got your back. So go and employ your position of influence with all diligence. As spoken in the movie “We Were Soldiers “, WE’RE GOING TO WIN THIS FIGHT “. Amen

  4. Amen Cynthia! You are correct on all points, scripture-ally and spiritually. My wife and I were beginning to feel like we were the only ones seeing where the barrage of oppression was coming from. Namely, Satan and his demons. Our biggest disappointment has been the overwhelming acceptance and furtherance of the fear and lies that the Church and Christians as a body have embraced! We are praying, along with you, that God will raise up leaders that will stand up to the lies!! We appreciate your leadership and we are praying for you.

    Thank you,

  5. IT IS TIME FOR THE REPUBLICANS AND PRESIDENT TRUMP TO STAND UP AND TO STOP ALL THESE RADICAL GROUPS BLM ANTIFA AND ITS BACKERS LIKE GORGE SOROS AND TO GO AFTER THEM ARREST THEM FOR TREASON FIGHT BACK EVERY ONE SAYS YOU ALL ARE HIDDING AND MISSING IN ACTION . WE HAD LOOKED FOR LEADERSHIP AND NOW YOU NOT THERE.

    1. Most elected officials on both sides take money from Wall Street lobbyists, social media giants, the military industrial complex, and have thus muzzled themselves, unwilling to stand for the people. This situation has been the tragedy of our Constitutional Republic for decades, and Americans are only now seeing the depth of the swamp. Backed by prayer, Christians should contact our Republican representatives (writing messages on their websites is easy)–and obviously they are moved by MANY contacts. If they will not listen to the people whom they have sworn to represent, then we must pray (individuals, families, and churches) that God remove them from their positions and replace them with worthy, brave men who will believe that a Holy God (and the people) hold them to their oath. That said, we are still required to pray for those in authority that they will do right. As Prov. 21:1 says, “The king’s heart (the hearts of those in authority) is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: HE TURNETH IT (THEIR HEARTS) WHITHERSOEVER HE WILL.” God does this only if we pray.
Lord, strengthen us to pray fervent, effectual prayers, by your grace. THANK YOU for messaging your representatives. GOD BLESS YOU for praying. Love in Jesus, Cathy

      1. I BELIEVE IN PRAYER AND I PRAY WITH OTHERS BUT SOMETIMES WE HAVE TO PUT OUR PRAYERS INTO ACTION . THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION , THE WAR TO END SLAVERY , NAZI GERMANY, IMPERIAL JAPAN. I AM IN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY AND I AM MAKING A STATEMENT THAT THEY NEED TO GET RID OF THEIR CORUPT WAYS AND TO PUT THEMSELVES INTO ACTION. MODERN DAY ISRAEL HAD TO FIGHT FOR THEIR LAND AND THE LORD WAS WITH THEM EVEN IN THEIR UN BELIEF.

  6. So glad to have this clear analysis of how obedience to God’s way is different from simply obeying the government’s recent edicts. The fragmenting of our churches by distancing restrictions and masks is doing great damage to our ability to support one another, and to remain strong in the Lord.

    10
  7. Amen! It was also against the laws of Caesar to break a seal made by a Roman procurator, so Y’shua’s very resurrection was a blow to statism, and state worship. We are required to obey just laws, not unjust ones. The purposes of this are to show to the world that we are for justice, but are under no obligation to obey unjust orders. We are also to remind our leaders of this, and to call them to honor their oaths and promises. (There is a case where this was not done, reported by Students for Life: https://studentsforlife.org/2020/08/01/breaking-black-preborn-lives-matter-street-painting-cancelled-as-police-arrest/ )

I pray for Students for Life, that they would continue to be a witness to those around them, and that promises and oaths made to them would be honored, and their rights be respected.

      1. Thank you so much! We donate as we are able, to both Students for Life and our local First Care Crisis Pregnancy Center. The crisis pregnancy centers are on the frontline of the battle for life.

  8. Thank you so much for your article. You so beautifully put into words all of my own thoughts, beliefs, and frustrations!!! May the Church of Jesus Christ now arise!!! It’s time!!!

    10
  9. Thank you Cynthia, I thought I was alone in this walk. This article has lifted me to a higher standard that I know is of Jesus.
We are called to be “light”, and to set the captives free. “You are of God little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” NKJV

I needed to read this today, and I thank you for your obedience.

P.S. I prayed the prayer written above but it did not register, because because I F A only allows you one prayer to be summited.

  10. The Ruler of this World is ‘Satan’…He’s on a Global Full Court Press ..You are seeing the Face ‘Evil’ Worldwide…Press its Citizens into Submission…via Weaponized Viruses , Global Warming Hoaxes on and on All done to Make the People Submit and Obey…We Cannot Let it Happen , Nor will I ‘Obey’….!!!!

    1. Agreed, Mellon! Our Founding Fathers created a unique Constitutional Republic, the ONLY one in all of history, with a Presidency that answers to the people. The Prime Minister can easily be removed or controlled by the British Parliament if they desire. POTUS will be better able to move in fulfilling his campaign promises, all meant to drain the swamp or fight the globalists which is really the Roman Empire as shown in Nebuchadnezzar’s statue, if he knew the American people fully backed him at this time. Messaging him on Contact the Whitehouse is easy, and ALL of us should be writing him as frequently as possible. Independent media journalists/commentators say POTUS DOES care and asks to see what his supporters say through calling and writing. Likewise, we should be contacting Republican representatives and demanding them to show some backbone in standing for the President, or we will replace them with brave men who will! As many people recently demanded Hydrixychloroquine be made available, and BRAVE DOCTORS in order to save lives made a stand that all the nation saw, so should we be willing to stand for the President. Write to him! Tell him we are praying for him! Pray, ask God to help, and use your right to demand officials represent us, as they have sworn! THANK YOU! And God bless you all! Love in Jesus, Cathy

  11. Thank you, Cynthia Dunbar for speaking so boldly the TRUTH regarding the WORD OF GOD, JESUS OUR SAVIOR and our FAITH!!! HALLELUJAH!!! AMEN!!! Long overdue!!!

  12. Thankyou for your thoughts through scripture and your standing firm in your faith.

Im walking the tightrope, navigating relationships that are divided. I wear a mask for others. I dont need one. I dont want to where it, but im wearing a mask at work.

How do we navigate bridging the divide with the church and re assemble without masks. How do we reach the last Harvest. We connect with Faith, Hope and Love, because in relationship with The Lord, things can get better because with God all things are possible. I am confident of this, I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. All the ways of the Lord are loving and all the ways of the Lord are faithful.

    4
  13. It is pretty simple, we fight back with the Word of God, The army of God is rising up, so we fight with the Lord as our rear guard!
We are having a Global awakening, people are so hungry for the Glory of God! Most cities are doing tent America 50 hours of prayer and intercession for the move of God to break through and out! God arise and let your enemies be scattered!
The army of the Lord is rising up! We will not be shaken!

    5
  14. I don’t mean to be negative, but the majority of the Church isn’t as deep as you think it is. Overall it isn’t, many are very mature believers. But many are no deeper than the hour they put in on Sunday mornings. The last 6 months or so should have help in every believer’s personal life. Prayer life; bible study; family life. Let’s hope when we get back together most will wake up to how important it is that we walk one way or the other, for the time is at hand. Maybe we have never had to fight for anything before in this country.

    9
  15. I just want to say that wearing a mask protects others a lot more than it protects you. If you love others around you, who may not be as strong in their faith as you are, you will protect them.

    1
    1. I come against the false notion that wearing a mask will protect those of little faith. May their faith be made stronger in the presence of the Father, the one who established His word from the foundation of His creation.

I refute the confusion that brings chaos out of self promotion and God is calling his people to come out of the Babylonian hill that has been erected by New Agers of false promises.

Lift up your hands to the Lord and let Him guide you out of the polluted city of hate that has trapped the lukewarm people who say they are Believers but embrace the lies of the father of lies. Come out, come out of your fear and grab hold of the hand of deliverance this very hour.

      amen

      11
    2. This is a point of confusion being used against us. The narrative that we should all mask to help others is not based on science. Many randomized trials show masks do not slow community spread. We hear the narrative but the science is silenced. Just as it has been with the medication that cures the illness. CDC knows masks do not work. That’s why they keep changing the recommendations. The only masks that work are those designed for healthcare workers. Even those require each employee to undergo a special fit test.
I regret that so many have been lied to about this. They knew they could convince most Americans because most people are without the scientific knowledge. It’s very sad. Now they’ve been able to pit us against each other, make it seem that the unmasked are uncaring about others. So many have absolute hatred for those without a mask. Asking and trusting God to make all things known.
If you would like to learn more about the ineffectiveness as well as dangers of wearing masks, Tammy Herrera is an excellent resource. She is an OSHA expert, has a great video on the subject. I’ll send link to a separate reply.

  16. Amen !! Amen !!
I am hearing so much about the Church needing to awake; but I am wondering if Pastors and Church leaders know what “the Church awake” looks like. So I am interceding for opening of eyes to the pattern of the early Church in America before 501k, and to the example of the Church in Acts !

    12
  17. This is the day we do not bow.. tho the fire rages high, run to the battle..speak Gods Word, carry His flag ‘No Compromise” God has not changed His mind Take your lesson from the boys in the fire! Keep your eyes on the Lord Most High. He’ll see you do not burn. [ This is a song the Lord gave me.]

    11
  18. Are government leaders greater than our God?NOT! Our freedoms are not taken from us
We give them with a fight with blame, fear& unbelief! It is past time to redeem the evil time as scripture states. God will make a way in these times as Satan is falling into his own schemes to God’s bidding to show His glory is greater than the enemy! Do we get this
Read the WORD. It’s all there.

    10
  19. Our Father in heaven,
Holy is Your Name. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Please forgive our sins as we forgive others who sins against us.
Let us remember that You are omnipresent omniscient and omnipotent God. You are the only one that can see human soul, heart and their intention. Your power is beyond our understanding. Your Holy Spirit is with us as we received the amazing grace of Jesus Christ.

Father God, please unite us so that we are not attacking each other especially the Body of Christ. Father God, please take the huge planks of their eyes that they may receive clear discernment of what to do. Let them remember that YOU are still the Living God who created us whose power is beyond our understanding. Let us not lean on our understanding. Let us be berean that will bring to prayer and the bible any information. Let us bring each thought captive and subdue it to prayer and the bible so that we are transform by the renewing of our mind. So that we can grow in the knowledge of You and Your characters.
Let the leader of each church draw closer to God so that they can hear and do the plan that God has for each one of them pertaining shepherding God’s flocks.

Father God, we ask that the resources of the ungodly (Antifa, BLM, The Good Club, ACLU, Planned Parenthood, GGE, Open Society Foundation, the Hollywood Elites The Globalist, The Cartels, MSM, CCP, Russia etc) to dry up. Just as Jesus spoke to the nonproducing fig tree and it dried up from the roots, we speak to the resources of those who work evil in our government and command their money, communication, and alliances to dry up from the roots.

Keep us humble and rely our trust on You forever and ever.
May the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be upon us all from today onward.

    25
  20. Cynthia, thank you. I’ve been discouraged, feeling uneasy in my spirit from reading a weekly email I receive from a Christian woman. What I hear from her is exactly what you expressed in this article. She encourages us to bend, to go along with the narrative to show our love and keep the peace. I’ve known that isn’t the right way but haven’t known how to express my concerns. Thank you for being a voice of truth, for empowering me with The Word of God. Now I know my thoughts and feelings were gifts of discernment from the Holy Spirit.
    Many blessings.

    12
    1. May others be healed and encouraged by your testimony for when we confess our sins or hesitation before others He is willing and able to deliver us to His truth and the path He will set us on. Proclaim His truth as a constant companion.

      2
  21. Excerpt from this letter: “We see church after church submit to the tyranny of over-expansive government control and shutdown, impose mask mandates, social distance, and even tell the sick to stay home. Why would a church that truly believes that “when we lay hands on the sick, they shall recover” tell those who need a touch from the Lord to stay home?” This really struck home to me. There is a middle-aged man from my church who is recovering from a stroke and since came to church and I was hesitant to touch him and ask if I could pray for him, because people are so freaked out about social distancing and masks. His wife probably discerned I wanted to pray for him as I was coming in closer as she said he is gradually being healed. What if he was to be miraculously healed by the laying on of hands?

    14
    1. Many do not have healing because they do not ask for it. “For thou oh Lord are a shield about me. You’re the Healer and the Lifter of my soul!” This is what we want for our brothers and sisters … love our neighbors within the shield of His healing, redemptive love.

      5
  22. So much Yes! Tears! I haven’t yet read this view in such a beautiful, loving and truthful way. Thank-you! I’ll be sharing it. Praise God for the bold fairy of John MacArthur and his assembly.

    Yeshua be exalted!

    8
  23. THANK YOU for this very necessary article!! Please, never stop doing what God has put in your heart to proclaim. The Lord bless and continue to keep this ministry in Him!

    12
  24. We pray that the bride of JESUS YESHUA takes her bridal garments and take it to the HOLY SPIRIT KADOSH : to see that any teaching of humanist fruit be removed and that she’s ready for revival: like the liberty statue has a lamp in her hand: that we as the bride have our lamp filled with oil ,dressed with extra oil. Thus able to proclaim whom JESUS YESHUA set free is free indeed.

    10
  25. We are the salt of the earth. The church will arise and take her rightful place. We have eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to understand. We are coming to the knowledge of the truth, in Christ jesus. God is faithful,Who promised. The Glory of the Lord will fill this earth. All corruption will be be exposed. Truth and Righteousness will prevail. Amen.

    11
  26. Thank you so much for this enlightening prayer of conviction, that Christ indeed is in charge and does ask us, in these confusing days of ” The Word vs the World”, to put all our trust in Him, to take on our role of loving others, attending to their needs on a day to day basis, all the while knowing that Christ is our inspiration and quide, through these dark days. Rest on Him for our protection, from this virus.

Online Personal Safety
We hope and pray that all intercessors involved in Intercessors for America are trustworthy, well-meaning, and have a heart for prayer for our nation.

However, please take the same common sense precautions online as you would offline. People online are not necessarily who they say they are or seem to be. Never give out passwords, credit card information, or other private data. Be very wary of disclosing private information to a stranger you meet via prayer messaging. Even apparently innocent information, like the name of your employer, can be used against you by scammers.

When meeting with someone for the first time to gather to pray or establish a prayer group in your local area, please remember to:

Taking these precautions will help make your online experience safer. Any risk in using Intercessors for America’s online web tools to connect with others is assumed by you. Intercessors for America disclaims any liability or responsibility for acts, omissions, or conduct by you or any other party using its online web tools.
