Rep. Bradley Byrne from the First District of Alabama shares his concerns about the lack of productive legislative action in Congress in this heightened political atmosphere. “With her announcement that the House will finally move toward impeachment, Nancy Pelosi has set in motion what the Democrats have wanted to do since Election Night of 2016. They will seek to remove President Trump at all costs. It is frustrating for me that Washington is focused on these partisan impeachment proceedings when there is so much we could get done for the American people. For example, the President’s trade deal has bipartisan support but has not moved forward in the House.”
So, how best can we pray for Rep. Byrne and his staff during this tempestuous time in the House of Representatives? When we spoke to his office, staff shared the need for IFA intercessors to pray for strength for the Congressman and his staff during this challenging time, and specifically for wisdom.
Let’s pray Proverbs 9:10 over Rep. Byrne and his staff: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Rep. Byrne serves on the House Committee on Armed Services, and the House Committee on Education and Labor, so also please pray for his work to be effective where he is serving, and for those committees specifically. He and his wife Rebecca have four children and two grandchildren. Pray for blessing and protection for him and his family.

Is 55:11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
I can only say ‘Amen’ to all the above prayers, but to encourage to filter everything through Isaiah 55:11. God created the entire world and everything in it. Still he gave us this promise. We don’t know what this pathway will look like — still He is capable of giving us each the instructions we need to carry out His Will.
Mt 17:20He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”
God seeks willing hearts and hands for His purposes. I believe we are each responsible for understanding His promises, and for carrying out what He lays on our hearts. Jesus can change hearts, we cannot. Faith, Courage and Blessings to all who participate in IFA.
We have His Promises about the end result.
Father, I lift up Rep. Byrne and his staff and his family to You. Protect and defend each of them, and grant safe passage in these stormy waters. Bless him and grant him extraordinary favor, and yes I pray Proverbs 9:10 over him and his staff: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” Strengthen and sustain him at this most stormy time. I lift up the 1st district of Alabama and ALL of Alabama to You. Mooooove as only You can, in this state, and encourage Rep. Byrne and be the Lifter of his head, in the name of Jesus, amen.

I can’t tell you how encouraged I am to hear of a representative in Congress who actually desires prayer! With all the news coverage we get, we think there are no real, rational beings in service to our country within the House! I will definitely be praying for Rep. Byrne and his staff! Father, we thank you that you have put faithful people like Bradley Burn in office. We stand with him now and share his frustration and burdens. Lift him up and give him patience at this time. Also give him direction to understand his role in opposing this hijacking of our our congress. Give him faith to rest in You. For the foolishness of God far surpasses the Wisdom of even the wisest man. We see only part of what You are doing, but we rest on the principles laid out in Your Word. Over and over You say the righteous will overcome and the those that oppose your ways will be be brought to justice. The evil will wither and be destroyed and You will take care of those that Trust in you. We stand on these promises by faith. I totally agree with you that it is a mess. I am an American and a permanent resident of Canada residing in Oliver BC. I can’t believe how President Trump and his family have been treated! I thought we were to respect our president.
God, the Holy Spirit, loves it when His children come running to him saying, “Help, me!” In Proverbs 3:5-6, it says, “Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In ALL your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” And in Psalms 37:4-5, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart (He will put His holy desires for you in your heart). Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He WILL DO IT!” Remind Him of what He said, “My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” Begin thanking Him for the wisdom that only He can give, and then walk it out by faith! Dear Lord God Almighty, Father of Glory, unto You we bow, humbly lifting Rep.Byrne & those who work with & for him to You and Your eternal purposes & intents for this time in history. We ask that You guide each one of them in Your path that will direct and lead them with decisions and action that bring forth Your purposes for American as a nation of refuge. A nation that is one nation of people in unity under You as a their God.
There are many spokes to a wheel Lord Jesus, and this representative sees & understands his “spoke to that wheel” that he serves needs to be strong & yet is unable to perform when the inner wheel is damaged. Father we need Your intervention in this matter. We confess before you and heaven now…we can not fix this inner wheel. We have sin in compromising, losing our way in Your purposes. We ask that protection of angels be about Rep.Byrne’s responsiblities for the two committees, Arm Forces & Education & Labor. Both of these departments need Your Holy wisdom applied to their proper working. The cancer of the anti-christ spirit has already infected these departments and others.
Keep Rep. Byrne and his staff humble and meek, allowing simultaneously the maturity of Christ inwardly grow within them that they like Christ will increase in wisdom, in stature & in favor with You and man.

I am praying for you. I cannot even imagine your frustration. I experience that just listening to the news of the day. I wanted to encourage you with Ephesians 6:13. The last part of this verse impresses me, “and having done all, to stand firm.” We need you to stand firm regardless of all the garbage. Of course, I am praying for good work to get done, but in the meantime this is your mandate.
