From Lifeway Research…

As you serve in your local church, it can be easy to forget the global nature of Christianity. Even connections to missionaries or trips to other countries don’t fully display the magnitude of the modern-day church…

Here are seven encouraging trends from the 2022 Status of Global Christianity report.

1. Religious faith is growing faster than the irreligious…

While the number of all religious people is growing at a 1.27% rate, the growth rate of nonreligionists is less than half that—0.52%, well below the total population growth percentage…

2. Christianity continues to grow.

Not only is religion growing overall, but Christianity specifically is growing. With a 1.17% growth rate, almost 2.56 billion people will identify as a Christian by the middle of 2022. By 2050, that number is expected to top 3.33 billion…

3. Growth is fastest in the global South.

The places where Christianity is growing the fastest? Africa (2.77% growth) and Asia (1.50%)…

4. Christianity continues to spread out.

By 2050, most Christians (50.4%) around the world will live in non-majority Christian nations, according to the 2022 Status of Global Christianity Status report…

5. The percentage of non-Christians who know a Christian is climbing.

By 2050, 1 in 5 non-Christians (20%) will know a follower of Jesus and have the opportunity to hear the gospel from them…

6. More than 90 million Bibles will be printed this year.

This year, 93 million copies of God’s word will be printed, up from 54 million in 2000 and 5 million in 1900. By 2025, 100 million Bibles will be printed each year.

7. Fewer Christians are dying for their faith.

In 2000, the Status of Global Christianity marked a rate of 1.6 million Christians martyrs over a 10-year period—the high mark of their report. In 2022, they estimate the decade long number to be 900,000. Each death is a tragedy, but any improvement is worth noting.

Thank you Most Holy Father that you do hear the prayer of your people and the church is growing. It is encouraging to hear that persecution is down , but help us not to forget to pray for our brothers and sisters who are still suffing greatly for their faith.

O how we praise you, our God and our King! Your gospel is spreading like fire to all Nations. Lord Jesus, we render to you, in the very midst of terrible persecution and the enemy bringing harm and brutality to many, the Name of Jesus is spreading to all Nations. Father God, You open every door that no man can shut, so every tongue, tribe, nation, and people will have the ability to accept Your gift of eternal life.
We praise Your Holy Name and worship You as the undefeatable God. strong and mighty, pulling down every stronghold and giving the faith to all that serve you the overcoming power through faith in the Son of God, who loved us and gave us life, overcoming life, as sons and daughters of the Living God. We are children of the light! No war, no enemy can put out the light of our God and we praise You, that in the midst of threats on every side, our God Reigns. May Olam El be known deep within by believers. As you awaken your Body and bring, not just, Revival to her, bring those who will disciple and train each one to know You and the power of you resurrection and be acquainted with your death. May we be strong and courageous, and not tremble with fear, because You, our God, will never leave us or forsake us. We ask for the Master’s Men to be raised up, the Caleb’s’, Joshua’s, Daniel’s, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego’s to the forefront of our Spiritual Army and also the Esther’s, Deborah’s, Mary’s, Martha’s, Mary Magdalene’s, Ruth’s, Phoebe’s, Priscilla’s, Rahab’s, Dorcas’, and Anna’s. Father God, we need an army of all kinds of courageous men and women who will pray, war, love, and lay their lives down for your will and your way. Come now and instill, power, love, and self-control in Your people to fight the good fight of faith.
We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus, our King

Awsome news! We must continue to push forward, taking our own families and considering each family as a micro church. Use our families in our neighborhoods our neighborhoods in our cities and our cities in our states.

God is always at work accomplishing His purposes, which are good and eternal. Even when evil seems to be winning, I remember these words from an old hymn, “This is my Father’s world, oh let me ne’er forget, That though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the Ruler yet.” the battle is the Lord’s, the victory is His! http://www.mtothe5th.wordpress.com
