“A disturbing report from CBS News last week revealed Iceland is systemically aborting babies with Down syndrome. While some have hailed the news as a cultural advancement, pro-lifers note the so-called progress has only moved the country toward genocide.
The small Nordic island nation has a population of about 330,000 but averages only two babies born with Down syndrome each year. In the early 2000s, Iceland began prenatal testing to spot babies at high risk for Down syndrome and other abnormalities.
About 80 percent of pregnant women in Iceland choose screening and nearly 100 percent of those women decide to abort if their babies test positive for Down syndrome—a scary example of modern eugenics.
Iceland offers the most egregious example of the practice, but other European countries don’t fare much better. French women choose to abort babies with Down syndrome 77 percent of the time, as do 90 percent of women in the United Kingdom and 98 percent in Denmark.
One in every 700 babies born in the United States has Down syndrome—about 6,000 new cases each year, according to the National Down Syndrome Society. Expectant American women who find out their babies have Down syndrome choose to abort 67 percent of the time. . . .
‘I have rarely seen a story that so closely resembles Nazi-era eugenics as a recent report about Iceland ‘eradicating’ nearly 100 percent of Down syndrome births through abortion,’ Focus on the Family founder James Dobson said in a statement after seeing the CBS News report. ‘We should all be deeply sorrowful and outraged.’ (Excerpted from World, reporting by Evan Wilt.)

Continue to give us, your children Lord, discernment that unmasks all lies. We bind the lie that it is loving to kill an innocent child because we have devalued the kind of life God would give them. We bind the lie that it is more loving to kill an innocent preborn than to bring him into a family where he would be unloved. Lord we bind the lie that says that a mother should not bring a child into the world unless she can give him a life of Western affluence. Lord God you know these are lies from the Father of lies, and that he delights in murder, especially of the innocent. the truth is that every infant brings joy with them, that you challenge all parents and enable them to love sacrificially, that we do not need Western affluence to be good parents…actually the truth is that third world countries love their children with more devotion than we do. Lord loose us to understand these truths and stand resolved in them. We ask you to deliver those young mothers in crisis pregnancies from Satan, may they find a RPC to help guide them. In Jesus name, Amen.

Please perfect that which concern us about abortions and what Your word says.
As a hair stylist there were times I was able as they put it you made me beautiful.
They are so childlike and so loving. They are truely a gift from God.
My brother who is now deceased was a very loving person, My mother was unable to care
for him at home and he was institutionalized from 15 years old. But we visited him at the
home and everyone there loved him and he was part of the Olympics held for retarded children.
My brother taught me what unconditional love is and should always be!
I gave birth to a son thirty years a go. He was born with downs. I would not trade him for anything. He is a loveable young man.please God forgive those who have murder their babies they know not what they do. Life is a gift from God and that life have a purpose.
All the individuals I know with Downs Syndrome are the sweetest, most compassionate and affectionate people you’ll ever meet. Why would anyone want to rid the world of them?
Dear Father: I do pray for all life to be valued here in America and around the world.
May the parents of these unborn children realize that all life comes from You. Help them to
realize that they have fallen prey to Satan’s lie and that they can receive help from You
to have the courage to say No to murdering their unborn babies and to say Yes to You
by standing up for the life of their unborn babies. Amen
Lord, lead us in action that promotes truth, Blessed action to save future lives and promote healing. May your forgiveness of those looking to you light the truth exposing lies that influence, lead mothers to killing their developing child; lies that justify acceptance of murder. Lord forgive me, forgive us.
All of life is precious and is s gift from God. Forgive us Lord for not graciously accepting your gifts.
The families I know with a Downs Syndrome member exude great love from and too this very special family member.
