I live and work in the Washington, D.C. area, and I’m around the Supreme Court every week. I wrote about what the court is like in light of the pending abortion decision in this article.
However, one detail about the protests outside the court is worth mentioning and may suggest a larger trend in America.
My experience around the Supreme Court lately suggest that the pro-choice advocates have been more present, more vocal, and more zealous than the pro-lifers. They seem energized and enraged by the prospect of defeat.
This week, I met two such pro-choice activists. One was sleeping on the steps of the Supreme Court. He had traveled from the Midwest and didn’t even know how he would return home.
Of course, there are plenty of pro-lifers who have laid down their lives for years in prayer and work on this issue.
But I suspect it may be that those who have been so committed to this battle may, out of exhaustion, falter in the last few moments. I fear many have already begun to rest, sit back, relax, and think the battle is already won.
But the battle is far from over.
Even if Roe v. Wade is overturned, it is very possible the Supreme Court will send this issue back to the states. Then, there will be 50 states to fight in, more intense arenas at the local level.
Every state will need its own battalion of spiritual warriors to fight the good fight at the local level.
So what should I do, you may ask? Ask the Holy Spirit, and just do something. Don’t miss the moment.
Maybe you want to come to the Supreme Court for the ruling. Maybe you’ll even sleep on the steps of the Supreme Court!
Whether you can make it to DC or not, join the fight. Don’t miss out on one of the great spiritual battles of our generation.
You may think you can’t make much of a difference, but that’s not true.
You may think the battle is already over, but that’s certainly not true.
You may think the outcome will be the same regardless of what you do, but I’m not so sure about that.
Besides, do you want to be in the stands watching from afar in the equivalent of a spiritual Super Bowl game, or do you want to be on the field in this crucial hour?
With that in mind, let us pray:
-Father, give me the courage and conviction to not sit out this great moment. Put me in the game, coach!
-Lord, we pray that you would end abortion in our land. Put the fear of God into the hearts of the Supreme Court Justices. Give them your mind, your understanding, your wisdom on this issue. Give them bravery to do the right thing.
-We also pray that after the decision there would be no violence or rioting. Do not let the enemy use intimidation to push for packing the court or for violence. Let there be life and peace in the land, Lord.

For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

God has known us before our conception. From a tiny cell grows a child of God. To kill it, no matter what stage, is murder. I pray that women will be more aware of their behavior and that abortion will no longer be wanted. God save our precious children.
Keep PRAYING. Persevere and persist until abortion is abolished. Let’s continue to pray in Faith AND Gratitude. Pray that the majority will NOT relent or compromise. Pray that more join the majority. Pray that even one or more of the dissenters have radical Saul to Paul conversions and join the majority. Pray that the Court will have the moral fortitude to recognize the babies have personhood and human rights from conception–and that they grant protection, due process, and right to life. God sees abortion as the murder of His children, the children He knits together in the womb. There is enough in the Constitution for SCOTUS to rightfully rule that babies are persons with human rights from conception, thus granting them nationwide protection, due process, and right to life. Praying that they will repent and have the moral fortitude to fear God rather than men (or women) who oppose God’s righteousness.
We resist the angel of death by the power of the blood of Jesus Christ!

Lord Jesus, You have all power over these Justices. Help them be convinced that they can not condone murder. Give them the courage to vote Your will no matter the cost. Put Your guardian angels around them and their families protecting them. Thank You Jesus.

Now we are on the verge of perhaps overturning Roe vs Wade, a decision for which our nation deserves your wrath. We know that you detest the shedding of innocent blood. Father, please strengthen the resolve of those justices who are under attack to change their vote. Protect them and their families from the plans of those who are planning evil against them. Help us in the fight to protect unborn babies to always remember that this is your battle, and we are to glorify you by our actions in it.

ln prayer, I keep hearing the Spirit of the Lord saying, Evidence that demands a verdict. I know that that is the title of a book but the evidence presented before SCOTUS was so overshelmingly clear, that I believe God himself is demanding
justice from the justices on behalf of our babies.
I recently had the priviledge of attending the TX Values symposium where the subject matter was overturning Roe All the champions who have passionately worked for years to overturn Roe were the speakers. I was humbled to listen to the stories of the battles that they have fought throughout the years and never giving up.
I believe its time for this war to be won. But i also know that the enemy wont go down without a fight over this strategic stronghold robbing America of her true identity and destiny.
I pray that God would give us prayer strategies to finally bring this stronghold down for the glory of God. It’s time!
But we all must do our part to get the truth out about abortion. We must be as vocal as those who show up in support of it. TX Values can tell you how. They are challenging all of us to get involved in spite of the pending court ruling. That is only half the battle. Churches need to get behind this push to educate their congregations and also to encourage adoption. And the need to address this matter as it were a matter of life and death…because for the least of us, it is. The bible says that we must be a voice forvthose who cannot speak for themselves.
The Heartbeat Law has stood the test having come before the Supreme Court 4 times and has prevailed. TX has now codified it into law and at least 26 states
are adopting it. It is written in such a way that even 55% of democrats are in favor of it.
Its time for the rest if us to rise up as never before. Here are some of the names of organizations that were represented at the symposium. You can call to find out how both churvhes and individuals can get involved and to be a part of the solution to educate and offer hope:

In God’s name the abortion process is horrific, I can’t believe a human with a soul could perform an abortion, especially on a fully formed child ready for birth. Evil, just EVIL
Lord only you can change hearts and renew minds by your Holy Spirit. Convict justices to do what is right by your word and your precepts, removing roe from this land. Unblind any deception and remove all fear from them. Place your hedge of protection around them, send your warring angels around them, their families and homes. Thank you Lord!

I agree we need to ask Holy Spirit what He wants us to do–definitely all of us should pray without ceasing. I’m praying that the SCOTUS justices (as well as all those opposed to overturning Roe) will hear the blood of the innocents crying out to them, and that Jesus would appear and speak to them in dreams and visions. Praying also that God would deliver many people from the kingdom of darkness and translate them into the kingdom of His Beloved Son.
I stand nearly every Thursday in front of our community Abortuary- Planned (death).
Christian’s need to be visible, otherwise the community sees that we are in agreement with this by our absence.
Find a 40 days for life campaign. Be present!

We must pray that bills introduced now to create a law allowing abortion nationwide that is the response to RvW being overturned, will NOT be passed. The left have lots of tricks up their sleeves, determined to continue the legal 1st degree murder of babies and more.
I do not understand how a person could travel and sleep on the steps of the Supreme Court for days.
How can he be away from a job for an extended time? What is the motivation for a man to want women to have abortions? Does he feel he is being compassionate and virtuous? Does he realize a baby is being killed in every abortion?
Father God,
We ask for deliverance from all lying spirits. Break every lie that forms a link in the chain of deception that has bound people. Set people free to worship, love and serve You!
Remove the scales from their eyes so they can see Truth clearly. Give them ears to hear the Truth., and give them minds and hearts to understand and receive the Truth.
Send the revival of a born-again experience to each person, so they KNOW Jesus. In His powerful and loving Name I pray. Amen.

Lord God Almighty – we humble ourselves before You, as both individuals & Your body of believers. God forgive our nation for straying so far from You. Forgive the hardness & apathy that we, Your people, allowed to settle into our hearts for decades. We did not value the gift of life as You wanted us to. For decades, only handfuls of people fought for Your creation – unborn children. But You Lord have awakened us – it was not of our own doing but Your Holy Spirit. We cry out to You for Your mercy, forgiveness & healing. We deserve judgment but humbly ask for mercy. We ask for Your favor once again that comes from Your goodness.
We pray that Your spirit of courage…the same courage that allowed David to face Goliath and for Your son to face the suffering of the cross – we ask that the same courage would fall upon the SC justices, their decisions & over Washington DC. We pray Your Holy Spirit would fill the chambers of the Supreme court and that it would be so powerful that it would suffocate & kill the voice of those that lust for more murder. Let Your Holy spirit envelope every office of the SC justices & that Your presence would strengthen them to overturn Roe vs Wade. We stand in unity & bind the enemy Satan – casting him away from the supreme court and from all the justices. We decree that physical, mental, spiritual and financial exhaustion would fall in upon anyone who plans to protest or be violent in support of RvsW.
We proclaim, by Your hand Lord, that a new era of freedom is on the horizon for America as we begin a time of throwing off the shackles of child sacrifice and instead, begin the task of ridding our land from the murderous scourge of abortion.

Abortion is tge law of sin and death but by faith iin tge forgiveness in the piwer of God The kaw of tge Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
Your observation of Prolife people not being present may be physically true but I feel it is not true that we are worn out. Prolife Pregnancy centers like where I worked , sidewalk advocates like what I do now, are still fighting the fight in local. communities to effect real women seeking an abortion today. Other young college prolife groups find it dangerous to face the challenges of protesting when the government does nothing to protect them especially in Washington DC. .
We pray and work in our communities to change hearts one at a time because the Supreme Court is not supposed to listen to protests but actually rule on Constitutional grounds. We must respect the integrity of the court unlike many radical prochoice.
So my prayer is for the protection of the Prolife community – Lord, surround us with your Guardian angels as we stand in the gap in our communities against the taking of innocent lives. Thank you for the opportunity to pray, At our last Wednesday night service we dedicated the time to praying for the Supreme Court and prayed for each justice by name. Beautiful prayers were rendered to the Supreme Justice of All Life and for mothers who are in the throes of making a decision. I offer a prayer: Dear Lord and Giver of all life I bow in awe before you for my life and the lives of my children, grands and greats. As I look into their faces I am so thankful for their lives and I pray that mothers and on this fathers day celebration, all fathers will choose life for the little one placed by the Father into the womb. I am reminded that the Hebrew word for womb is the same word for mercy. I ask mercy for each life today, In Jesus Name
Father, God may our Justices, Your people rise up and do what is right in Your eyes. May we hate the things You hate and trust Your leading in how to respond to this NATIONAL SIN. May we find in brokenness and repentance our salvation and our rest. Oh Lord, I am waiting for Your Glory to be manifested throughout the Nations.
