“I am running for president of the United States to lead our great American comeback,” DeSantis said at the start of the online forum, hosted by Twitter CEO Elon Musk and tech entrepreneur David Sacks, that was marred by technical glitches and started nearly a half hour late. …
“American decline is not inevitable. It’s a choice,” DeSantis said, calling for a restoration of sanity to the nation, including fiscal and economic sanity. “This also means replacing the woke mind virus with reality, facts, and enduring principles.”
Speaking directly to Republican voters, he confidently pledged that if they choose him as their standard bearer, he will win.
“If you nominate me, you can set your clock to January 20, 2025, at high-noon, because on the west side of the U.S. Capitol I will be taking the oath of office as the 47th president of the United States,” he said. “No excuses. I will get the job done.”
DeSantis has been viewed by many to be the most likely candidate to wrest control of the Republican Party from former president Donald Trump. But the decision to launch his campaign virtually initially appeared to have been a misstep when the Twitter Space feed struggled under the weight of more than a half million users. …
Biden’s camp trolled DeSantis, tweeting “This link works,” and linking to the president’s fundraising site. Trump mocked his Republican rival on Truth Social: “Is the DeSantis launch FATAL? Yes!”
A DeSantis spokesman responded that there was so much enthusiasm for DeSantis’s vision that the governor “literally busted up the internet.”
The hour-long event, which was supposed to start at 6 p.m., didn’t really get rolling until closer to 6:30 p.m. “We’re really breaking new ground here,” said Sacks, the host, who used his position to take aim at of DeSantis’s critics. …
DeSantis said public health agencies “failed” during the pandemic and need to be “cleaned out.” As president, he said, he would rein in government agencies.
“Buckle up when I get in there,” DeSantis said. “The status quo is not acceptable.” …

I am a naturalized American citizen living in Florida. I fully support Gov DeSantis in what he has done and is doing in Florida. I would love to see him as president but not this time out. I am selfish enough to want to see him last out his term as governor and run for president in 2028. I support Trump and DeSantis both which in itself creates difficulties as I see it when voting time comes.
Lord only You know who should be running and why. Only You know the one You have chosen and I bow to Your will being done throughout the next two years and beyond.

The last thing our country needs is a down and dirty slugfest between Desantis and Trump for the nomination. The enemy uses contention for his purposes. Either one is hands above any democratic nominee. I would like to see all the republican nominees get together and put the country first and decide amongst themselves who is the most electable. I know they do not have that kind of maturity. So the chaos will continue. The media will latch onto every misstep and weakness, like a leviathan, and twist the truth to a deceived nation. Meanwhile, many will just shake their heads and wonder how long the nation can stand with such division and poor governance. But the ones close to God know His plan of redemption for His entire creation will come to pass, and will find their role, partnering with the Holy Spirit, to shine the love of Christ to a fallen world and fight the good fight of faith till the very end.
Really like what DeDantis has done in Florida, but he has ties to the Bush family that have to be watched.

Throughout all of the persecutions he received and is still receiving, I believe President Trump made the office of President look a lot easier than it is! Trump is an excellent businessman and has a heart for GOD, America, and Americans. GOD was with him in the White House and is still with him! In my opinion! Mike Pence has not proven himself to be trustworthy! Tim Scott is not mature enough politically to be president and as someone said, what happens to Florida when DeSantis runs? Won’t he have to relinquish his governship? Republicans are the most fickle people I know, which is why we don’t have majorities in Congress! Instead of them getting together and all deciding and supporting the best candidate for the job, everybody wants to be head chief! What is GOD saying to all of these Christians? I guarantee HE has not told them all to run! Personally there is only one of these people running that I am praying for and will support…. The rest….??? FATHER GOD please help YOUR people to stop going their own way, but instead seek YOUR Will! FATHER GOD just like YOU had Gideon reduce the men that were to fight with him, speak to all of these people who are running for President as to who is YOUR choice! I will vote for Trump if he wins the primary. I don’t prefer him. He has supported the perverted Disney World. He attacks those he perceives as threats. He is narcissistic. I know too many people who dislike him. I pray DeSantis is better received by the general public.

It grieves me to see the attack ads that Republicans are making against other Republicans. Jesus said ” A house divided will not stand”. Reagan said ” Thou shall not speak ill of thy fellow Republicans”.
I have had a desire in my heart to see DeSantis run for president. He is a true Christian who is willing to stand for truth and has the boldness and determination to do what must be done. If there is any mercy left for America I pray for his success and other leaders like him. May God protect him and his family from attack from the enemy and use men or women like him to lift up a standard against the flood of evil prevailing in our nation. God still has a remnant in America and we must stand in the gap and restrain this antichrist spirit of lawlessness until Jesus comes.

Our country is falling apart at the seams. We need a strong leader to take over and make the rule of law count once again. Our borders are wide open. Our mainstream media lies daily. There is a two tier justice system. The list goes on and on. Every state needs him, but what good will a Gov. do if the country ceases to exist?
