The Democratic National Committee will begin debating and formulating the Party Platform beginning on Wednesday, July 15.
IFA asked Tamara Scott, the Chair of the Republican National Committee Faith Advisory Board, how intercessors can effectively pray for the conventions. She explained the importance of seeking God about this: “While the conventions may be partisan events, seeking God’s direction and blessing is not. Our founders often sought the providence of God in their political work and we were blessed as a nation because of it.”
She suggested we pray “that the platform, delegates, and speakers be God-honoring; that anyone who might plan to be a problem will quickly be exposed and their plans foiled; and that the conventions be peaceable, productive, and pleasant for all.” Her closing thoughts about praying for the conventions and elections are inspiring: “Pray this election serves as a catalyst to something much larger for God’s glory, releasing a spirit of revival, reconciliation, and restoration in our families, churches, communities, and the halls of government. For when we honor God in America, we’ll truly make American great again.”
Every four years, Democratic National Committee members come together ahead of their convention to forge a diversity of values and beliefs into the Party Platform—a roadmap for how they plan to move America forward. The project announced today will allow anyone who has ideas about the party’s agenda to record, upload, and share their story in a brief video message. These videos will be hosted through Countable, an innovative and user-friendly video content hub, and may also be shown on the convention’s website, social media, or during the event in August. Countable is a civic technology company powering a new wave of political engagement through community and user-generated video content.

Lord, God Almighty You rule and reign on high.The direction of the democratic party has been anti-God for some time and their direction is heading further toward that which displeases You. Would You awaken believers to see the sins of Romans 1 that this party espouses? Speak to their hearts if so inclined to vote for a President who represents all that opposes You. May the distinction be unmistakable between the Republican party and the Democratic Socialist party. Wake up Your church from slumber. May we fast and pray and vote. In Jesus name, Amen

Pray for salvation for Joe Solmonese, CEO of the DNC and his delegates and speakers who has not received Christ as Savior. For them to receive YOU and be inspired to do YOUR will. Pray they would have the fear of God as they talk and decide about its platform.
Pray there would be no hidden agendas, alliances, persuasion, or pressure on them that would influence or steer their decisions on the DNC platform. (Jn 5:30)

Shine your light Lord, for darkness cannot stand in your light. Pour out your awesome and powerful love, the love that melts the hate that blinds the people, that all in this nation will love, honor and worship you, in Jesus name and for the glory of Jesus I pray.

Trump: “When people wrong you, go after those people, because it is a good feeling and because other people will see you doing it. I always get even.”

it’s time for for christians to rise up and become soldiers in God’s army and take back our country from the hands of satan. if the churches would come together in prayer, praise, worship and fasting we can take back this country from the hands of satan. we need to put aside doctrine and religion and put Jesus first and we will see this nation turn back to God and revival break out and sweep this country like a wildfire. but it needs to start with the church. the word says that anything hidden will be revealed and things spoken in darkness will come to the light. the plans of the enemy will be revealed and anything that is not of the Lord will be thwarted and crushed. anyone that is not of the Lord will be removed and replaced with the one that God chooses.
2020.07.14 Is 24:4-6 The earth dries up and withers, the world languishes and withers, the exalted of the earth languish. The earth is defiled by its people; they have disobeyed the laws, violated the statutes and broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore a curse consumes the earth; its people must bear their guilt. Therefore earth’s inhabitants are burned up, and very few are left.
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Lord, “my people” originally referred to the Jews during the time of Solomon as he dedicated the temple he constructed in Jerusalem. Today, “my people” extends to those who have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior; Christ’s Church. We are the ones who are called by Christ’s name. We are the ones who must humble ourselves. We are the ones who are called to pray. And, we are the ones who are required by God to turn from our sinful ways.
We the Church of Jesus Christ are they ones who can save our nation or we can join our fellow citizens as God renders his discipline or his judgement upon us. We are the ones who are called to stand in the gap on behalf of our fallen nation. We are the ones God will hold accountable because we know or are responsible for being salt and light to an world that is becoming darker each and every day.
Wake up church. We are called to be watchmen on the walls, to be salt and light to the fallen world. We are called to be in the world but not be of the world. We cannot sit passively on the sidelines while some of our leaders are bowing to satan and implementing his plan. We are not called to be spectators. WE ARE AT WAR!
Paul wrote in Ephesians 6:12, NIV: “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
Our weapons are not guns or tanks or artillery, but the weapons God has provided us. Paul further wrote in Ephesians 6:13-18: “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. The Lord has provided us Spiritual Weapons for a Spiritual Battle.
This is not defense! We are to take the offense. Christ said to Peter as recorded in Matthew 16:18: “…I will build my Church, and the gates of hell will not stand against it.”
We must answer the Lord’s call. Suit up!

We agree with the prayers of Tamara Scott for Your will to be done and that any plans NOT of you will be foiled and exposed. Help our country heal from all this race baiting and Your revival love to overshadow this nation. Our scales lifted to see with Your eyes and our hard hearts healed in the entire country…begin with me Jesus. Give me words of love and life to heal the wake of sin behind my life.
While I believe that Tamara Scott intends that her prayer request honor God, I cannot join her in her prayer regarding the DNC platform. I believe that if the DNC platform committee should formulate a platform that honors God it will be deceptive. I know that there are believers who have aligned themselves with this party. I’m related to some, in fact. However, I do not believe that those of influence in this party will actually honor God with their actions if elected, unless their lives are transformed by Holy Spirit between now and the election. I pray that the truth of their goals will be revealed through the entire convention process and that this truth will be realized by those who are in the party. That those who do not follow Christ will come to faith in Him and will give evidence by bearing fruit worthy of their new calling in both their personal and professional lives, that they will be brought to wholeness and healing. I do agree in prayer for peace and this convention and for Holy Spirit to be at work in our nation, bringing revival and reconciliation for HIS glory, alone. I do appreciate Ms. Scott’s unique perspective and do not mean to be disrespectful to my sister in Christ. I believe we both seek God’s glory and His blessing and healing in our nation.

I agree with Melinda Roberts and do not want to show disrespect to Tamara Scott, but, knowing what the Democratic party has said at past conventions by making a resolution to remove God and their intent, speech and actions up to this day, they do not in any way bring honor to God. If they would put wording in their platform to say that..it would be a lie and deceive those christian who do align with their views. The best thing is that they make their “True Platform” known so that all will know exactly where they stand. As a former registered Democrat, who recently changed my party, my prayer is that individual hearts be turned back to God and the values our country was founded on be restored and practiced. But to formulate a “platform” to just include the word “God” is a lie and would be like putting a fig leaf over their real agenda, which is to support abortion, same sex marriage, suppressing religious freedom and etc. We need a true change of heart and not a change of wording in a platform! This is like honoring God with our lips when our heart is far from Him. True repentance brings actions which produce fruit for God’s kingdom. Praying our nation would truly be “one nation under God!”
Father, how we pray for You to inundate these conventions with Your Holy Spirit, convicting hearts of every ungodly way, and drawing each closer to You! Without You, man’s plans are fruitless. Send forth Your light and Your truth in such a way that man cannot deny Your holiness, but will comprehend Your desires and be drawn to You and Your will. Arm those who know You with Your wisdom and boldness to speak true righteousness in all humility. May their words convict and change hearts and minds to bring You glory. Ambush those who have an evil agenda, and bring their words and works to nothing. Make Your name great again in the midst of darkness! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for a Spirit of Confusion to be over this convention. I pray that No weapon formed against will prosper. That every attempt to continue to kill the Unborn in their agenda will be thwarted. Every attempt to remove God from their agenda will not be adopted. We pray for the warring Angels to descend upon this convention and war in the heaven lies over it. We bind Satan, his plans and schemes, and they be brought to nothing.Satan, you will not bring evil to our land, you will not take our freedoms, you will no longer kill our babies, you will not remove God from our land, you will not continue to steal from one and give to another. Come Lord Jesus do battle for us, in Jesus’ Name. AMEN!
