“People have been warning for years that someday, absent reform, the United States would be forced to spend more to service our debt than to defend ourselves. Someday is today. … ” writes James Freeman in The Wall Street Journal, after quoting this passage from the Congressional Budget Office report that came out last month.
We will spend 870 billion dollars on interest on the debt this year.
In the next 10 years, we will spend double the total of what was spent on interest the last 20 years 12.4 trillion, which is larger than what the debt itself was in 2009.
Why? We keep spending more than we bring in.
More than defense and we spend more on defense than the next 10 countries combined!
Intercessor, this can’t pass by us without a response.
Ryan Binkley, the pastor and businessman who just bowed out of the Republican presidential race, had this to say about the national debt:
When I began this journey … it was with a message in my heart that our country needs to awaken to the fact that the unsustainable deficit spending and debt path we are on will undoubtedly lead us to a generational economic disruption. I believe that we can get off that path and begin a journey to balance the federal budget by transforming and demonopolizing the healthcare system which has been bankrupting our nation. I also felt deeply that as bad as the U.S. fiscal and monetary policy is, the political corruption and cultural divide in our country is an even greater threat.

God, you have the perfect knowledge and wisdom, and we admit that we NEED you God. Our human wisdom is no match for your wisdom. On top of that, we have sinned against you Lord, and have not been good stewards of our resources in many ways. We know your kingdom is being furthered, and we thank you for allowing us to contribute our finances towards advancing your kingdom. Thank you for letting us be a part of your great work. We ask for your unmatched faithfulness in this situation. We need to humble ourselves before you Lord, and give our lives over to the leading of your Spirit. Please be with us through this challenge. We cannot do it without you
I say no spending tax payers money on abortions, trans surgeries, any sexual activity that is an abomination to God, illegal immigrants, politicians should not become millionaires being in office, completely cut funding to the UN and the WHO and any organizations that go against God’s laws, reparations to any minority. College students pay their student loans you took the money and agreed to pay it back. We can balance the budget if EVERYONE from poor to the rich work together and abandon the idea that the more wealth you have the more important or greater success you have. God open the eyes of those making these budget decisions so that spending is reversed and the US debt is being paid down NOW.
Father God, I repent that we, the United States, have trusted in our own selves, been greedy for gain, and as a result have overextended ourselves – producing debt that is impossible for us to pay back without your help. Please forgive us, we don’t know what we are doing. Our wisdom has not worked and our lust for more has caused us to fall into this pit. I ask You to free us from this stronghold by giving us the weapons required and the understanding of how to use those weapons. And, I ask You to give us the “wisdom from above” and the divine counsel necessary in order to bring our finances back from chaos to order. I ask You to tip the scales in Your favor so that division no longer has a voice. Holy Spirit, I ask You to hover over every aspect of what is needed and bring order. I ask You to frustrate the plans of the wicked for our money and nullify all ungodly counsel. Bring to light the truth behind wrong spending and release the power necessary to repay all debt. I declare that we, the United States of America, owe no man, no country, anything but to love them. I declare that our land is healed and that we live in His commanded blessing because we do what He says. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen
Amen, this is a great prayer.
Father God forgive us for our list for more instead of living within our means.
How does one get out of debt?
1) Quit spending money one doesn’t have.
2) Spend wisely what you do have.
3) Cut out all unnecessary spending.
4) Begin to pay off your debt.
The Framers of the Constitution crafted Article 5 anticipating that Congress could run amuck and that the United States might need a reset putting power back into the states. 19 states have signed on to a Convention of States to mandate a balanced budget, term limits and more. Get your Convention of States handbook on line and pray about it and become a part of the movement. Blessings on ya!
Yes Lord God Almighty, I pray for wisdom for all financial leaders who run this country. As we have known for many years, this trillion dollar debt cycle keeps on climbing with no end in sight! Only you Jesus can find a solution to this financial crisis!!
Praying Matthew 6:33 that our nation as a whole would “seek first His kingdom and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you”. Amen 🙌🙏👏🏼
The tendency of Democrats to spend up the kazoo WILL have a reckoning. They have to borrow from somebody. Some day quite soon the somebody will come calling. Then it MIGHT be too late.
Lord, let Ryan Binkley know that his candidacy was not in vain, nor the money spent, but rather that You had sent him out to point the people to a matter and a solution that would be a benefit to our country at this dire time.
Please honor him for stepping out in faith and trusting You, to run for president. Prepare him for the next great call you are preparing him for even now.
May Your peace and wisdom enfold him at all times.
Father, first we ask that You humble or dispose of so-called leaders that are arrogant, corrupt, and greedy – their only agenda being their own agenda, control, and gain in one form or another. Or, if their hearts will allow, guide their hearts as You would direct the watercourse – turning them whichever way You desire.
Raise up modern day Joseph’s who will look to You for strategies and detailed implementation for these strategies and plans. Give great wisdom, revelation, and enlightenment to those that YOU raise up as Your called and chosen leaders.
Father, bring every hidden, evil thing to light. Bring all unnecessary spending to light. We see that You are exposing, You are shaking, You are removing man’s monoliths that he has erected and believes will stand, but You are crumbling them to dust. We thank You!
Raise up to the forefront modern-day Jeremiah’s whom You set over this nation, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant. Give those of us who are faithfully paying our taxes – and sometimes struggling to do so – a voice as to where our tax dollars will go. We DO NOT want our tax dollars to fund ANY type of abomination, corruption, or deception, Father, but only that of integrity, necessity, and edification.
Father, make room for and position Your leaders that are overflowing with Your great wisdom. Leaders that will take the time to thoroughly examine ALL of the spending in this nation and immediately cut off ALL finances to unnecessary organizations, funds, and extravagances – even calling for a recompense for these extravagances.
Father, give dreams, visions, and words of knowledge to Your chosen leaders. Continually revitalize them and implant within them the passion and power to do only that which pleases You… As Dutch Sheets and others have proclaimed an appeal to heaven, we join with them and also agree that AMERICA SHALL BE SAVED!! Only in the name of the One and only Savior of the world: Jesus the Christ! AMEN!
I have never been a mathematical genius but I know that 1+1=2…every time… And just as certain is the fact that our monetary system is doomed, it cannot sustain itself. So we MUST, as intercessors, stand together on our knees for God’s will to be done.
Father we use the blood of the Lamb Jesus Christ to bind our enemy’s tactics to destroy America. May only You be involved in our reconstruction. We proclaim that America will return to be truly YOUR country, YOUR land , YOUR people..

Until the government stops spending money we do not have, we cannot do nothing… We pray but why we did it. Our government is the worse ever in history. This admisnistration is the worst ever. Our children who are born are in dept according to the dept clock at over $100,000 in taxes. How can we allow them to do this. I keep praying Psalm 115,118,2. We can’t stop praying and writing weekly to our congress and senate….

Lord Jesus, You are aware of the outrageously unbelievable national debt in this nation. You are aware of what a burden that this has placed upon our nation. By your grace, please make a way where there would seem to be no way regarding our national debt. It is obvious that if man could fix the problem, it would have happened by now. As always, our only hope is in You, Lord Jesus.
Dear Heavenly Father, In view of the fact that I am unable to even help myself most times, I stand on your word and trust and know that you have a plan. I pray FatherYOUR will be done on earth as it is in heaven. I kneel before you and humble myself and ask you Father to please heal our land and guide those in charge to the right and proper decisions. I know Father that your plans are always good and that whatever plan you have for us, Father our ultimate goal should be that we all seek to abide and obey you Father so that we may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of our lives.
