The Department of Justice (DOJ) has secured a second indictment against former FBI Director James Comey, a source familiar told NewsNation, The Hill’s sister network.
It was not immediately clear the specific charges faced by the longtime foe of President Trump, but CNN reported that they relate to a photo Comey posted last May of seashells on a beach arranged to form the numbers 86-47, which Trump — the 47th president — claimed at the time was a call for his assassination.
“He knew exactly what that meant. A child knows what that meant. If you’re the FBI director and you don’t know what that meant, that meant assassination. And it says it loud and clear,” Trump told Fox News last May.
This situation underscores the increasingly volatile political environment in our nation. Whether intentional or not, the perception of threatening language directed at a sitting president is deeply concerning. Words carry weight—especially when spoken or shared by those who have held positions of significant authority. The potential consequences of such actions cannot be ignored.
Comey insists that he he didn’t realize his seashell message could be associated with violence at the time of writing. However, the effect of his message is clear. President Trump has now faced three assassination attempts, with the most recent attack taking place just last weekend.
Additionally, this is not the Trump administration’s first time charging Comey. The Hill notes that the administration went after the former official with “false statements and obstruction charges stemming from 2020 testimony he gave Congress concerning leaks at the FBI.” These charges were dismissed due to the “unlawful appointment of the prosecutor who pursued them,” a decision the Trump administration has appealed.
This indictment, however, seems like it may be more serious. This time, the DOJ has issued an arrest warrant for Comey. Paul Sperry, senior reporter for RealClearInvestigations, broke the news on X, reporting that “US Marshals will execute the arrest.”

For intercessors, this is a clear call to pray against violence and division. Scripture reminds us that life and death are in the power of the tongue, and that leaders are called to pursue righteousness and peace. The repeated threats and attempts against President Donald Trump only heighten the urgency for prayer over his safety and over all those in positions of authority.
Now is the time to stand in the gap—praying for protection, for truth to be revealed, and for righteousness to prevail in every corner of government.

it is much more true reporting that the vicious hate is more pointedly at God and His ways than at Trump, who is the strong man willing to accept the call to restore the USA to the purpose of being a nation to serve Him.
woukd it not strike more truthfully and effectively if this was the focus? I was raised to hear that we are not to speak wrongly about the President. Is this not still true?
Perhaps it could be stated that “ an assignation was attempted against the man who is seeking to return our country to serve and glorify God, our Creator?
God is the one who chooses leaders and is much more powerful than this man named Trump! that should strike fear into some .
It is my sincere hope that this indictment of Mr. Comey results in a conviction. Our nation desperately needs for this to happen. We, as a nation, need to see that these actions are dealt with in a way that shows that people like Comey cannot get away with their inappropriate actions We need to show justice, truth, and protection over our leadership in the United States. Plain and simple. I pray, Lord, that Your will prevails in this situation, and all efforts to undermine or bring ANY harm to our elected officials. Thank You Jesus.
Heavenly Father, we stand in agreement with Your Word first and foremost. Righteousness exalts a nation. Lord, we ask for the heart of America. Give the church the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the Knowledge of You. Flood our hearts and minds with YOUR light of understanding. Help us to choose life, reject death, and walk in Your ways. It needs to be said that conservative God believing republicans have been the targets. The demoncrats are calling for these attacks by those who are demon possessed and no longer hide the fact that they want President Trump and his administration dead. Those democrats that say nothing are showing that they support the demoncrats objective. Comey knew exactly what message he was sending as does all adults. Comey is demon possessed and believes that he is above the law but even if he escapes our justice because of the demonic judges we have in this country he and the rest of the demon possessed will not escape God’s righteous judgement. There is a hell and it is full of demons. I trust in God. 🙏😇🙏
With a long career in forensics myself, never basing my analysis on who the person was but rather delivering accurate analysis, his actions are beneath contempt. A very big black mark on law enforcement. May God bring justice, may God reach his heart and cause him to repent and to reach out to God
