State lawmakers recently passed Senate Bill 763 which allows religious chaplains to work in a counseling role. The measure is now on Gov. Greg Abbott’s desk awaiting approval. …

“The ACLU of Texas has told me when I was reporting on this they are mulling a legal challenge and they said they are in conversation with other groups as well,” said Jenkins. “So, I would be surprised if it’s not the ACLU of Texas if at least one other group does file a challenge against this bill. It could be on a myriad of grounds that might include First Amendment issues.” …
“Recent Supreme Court cases are allowing this to happen and will probably stand up to scrutiny if done well and if it doesn’t favor one religion or the other,” said Stetzer.

Father God, I have seen how our lack of knowledge helps and greatly benefits the principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places. Seeing how they could get the Holy Bible out of public libraries, they used the story of Lot and his family in Genesis 19. When Lot and his daughters moved from Zoar to a cave the daughters agreed to get Lot drunk and lay with him to preserve his seed. They both were impregnated without his knowledge or approval. So the people doing the test, asked randomly of Christians if they thought a book with stories like a father sleeping with his daughters was something they wanted their children to check out of the library or study in school. The parents vehemently said, “No.!” Now they have a so called base of Christians rejecting Holy Scripture. This is their ploy, Father GOD Please show us how to overtake, override,, and overcome these tactics by reading YOUR Holy Word to be ready in season and out of season. Remind us to put YOUR armor on us. We ask for boldness and utterance. Holy Spirit remind us of what is written on our hearts, that The Blood of Jesus washes, cleanses and saves us in Jesus Name. We need those Godly Chaplains in our schools to help our children.. We need strong, courageous Christian chaplains who know how to pray, in Jesus mighty Name. We praise YOU, we bless YOU , give to YOU ALL THE GLORY. In Jesus Name forevermore. Amen
Good move. I served for awhile as a chaplain to workers at a major car dealer. They were appreciative to having someone to talk to about their issues. We never promoted any church, but simply tried to encourage them with a friendly, listening ear, and sometimes a verse of Scripture if appropriate.
I applaud Senate Bill 763 and pray they can work out the kinks. Children need to have access to chaplains at school. Why wait until they end up in jail where chaplains are allowed??
Father, please make a way for young people to get the counseling they need. If they are Christian, let Biblical perspectives be used to help guide these young ones! May it all be so for the advancement of Your Kingdom principles in the earth. Amen!

I think chaplains who speak from Biblical truth will help children. Father, anoint your public servants to draft this bill in a way that precludes Satanists and Muslims from stepping into these positions. This is possible for You to do! We also pray for parents to form prayer groups for their own childrens’ schools and offer to teach Bible studies after school.
Yes Satanists would try to also be represented. I do prison ministry in Alaska. they said they wanted representation also and had to be granted space, but the CO’s found it was a haven for gangs a squelched and monitored meetings
Constitutionally we are granted freedom of Religion not freedom from Religion. Go for it Texas I started every day with a prayer in home Roon in public high school 60yrs. ago and am blessed for it.

I am pleased to think that chaplains would be allowed in the schools. My only concern is , what if the Satanist groups also want a say in the schools? Would that also be allowed if they say they’re trying to help?
If given a choice, most students would recognize the difference between shepherds and wolves.
Father zGod, Many of us share this concern that Shirley Lathrop voiced with her comment. As YOU SHOWED me earlier today, they can twist anything, like using the first part of John 3: 17 as it is written, ““For God sent not his Son into the world”.
“Finish the verse as it is written in John 3:17 “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.””
John 3:18 “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.“ Help us rightly divide YOUR Holy Word to show how simply YOU Laid it out for us

In Deuteronomy 30: 19-20 it is written
Deuteronomy 30: 19 “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”
Deuteronomy 30:20 “That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.“
Help us to realize that we choose to be blessed or cursed each day. If we choose curse too many times we are in rebellion and chose the wrong path for ourselves. In some case we are choosing it for our families too.

What are the required credentials for chaplains so they can be equipped to counsel children and youth in Texas public schools?
Best to transport students off campus for support.
Chaplains of other religions will take advantage of the situation and do more harm than good

I wish it could be passed into law in all states
I started a reply that was supposed to be in agreement and a paragraph with scripture references. But it ended up being three pages long, at least. I was having my own Bible study. I will try again later.
During the pandemic Chaplains were given alot of access. We need to pray if this is a spiritual strategy to reach the youth of today! God give us wisdom.
The Supreme Court ruled bibles and prayer out of public schools. There is therefore no legal spiritual basis to attempt redemption of public schools. They need to be abandoned. Christian schools and home schools are the only option. This program will lead to Islamic and satanic chaplains demanding to participate and being allowed to by the courts.
We as Christians must stand up, especially in our schools and we should be there first.
Think hard about what Bob Adrian is saying! This would open doors to all kinds of wicked and erroneous influence on our kids. Don’t think only Christians would be using this opportunity.

Isaiah 55:6-7 are why we continue to pray for these situations. We don’t know the hearts that are there to be turned or affected. Many are struggling against the demonic . We cannot abandon them to let them fend for themselves. There are people being set free with our prayers and they are between a rock and a hard place. God alone is helping them because others are looking at them with shortsightedness. I put it there and I leave it there for you.

That would be wonderful. I worked in public schools & so needed. I pray it spreads to other States. I pray they would be closley screened.
HEAVENLY FATHER, We are Thankful for the State of Texas leading the way……Let Texas be a LIGHTHOUSE FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Move the hearts in each of the 50 states to pass laws that will do what needs to be done. TEXAS has a Great History of FIGHTING FOR WHAT IS RIGHT!!!!
