The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against Texas, blocking its controversial immigration law. What happens now?
From Fox News. A divided appeals court said in a late-night ruling that a controversial Texas immigration law cannot go into effect as the state appeals a ruling that blocked it.

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals handed down the 2-1 ruling regarding Senate Bill 4 on Tuesday night, just a week after it had previously blocked the law, which – if enforced – would allow law enforcement in Texas to arrest suspected illegal immigrants and allow state judges to deport them. The court noted that this tends to be the jurisdiction of the federal government.
“The broadest exercise of federal discretion is the Executive’s decision not to pursue either civilly or criminally the very noncitizens whom Texas has drawn a bead upon in enacting new state laws. The discretion to pursue these same noncitizens likely lies exclusively with the Executive,” Chief Judge Priscilla Richman wrote. …
Richman and Judge Irma Carrillo Ramirez voted to block the law, while Judge Andrew Oldham voted for it to go into effect. …

Governor Greg Abbott said, “For these reasons, I have already declared an invasion under Article I, § 10, Clause 3 to invoke Texas’s constitutional authority to defend and protect itself. That authority is the supreme law of the land and supersedes any federal statutes to the contrary.”Jan 26, 2024! He still has the authority and should enforce that law regardless, even by force if need be. Augustine said something to the effect “that a lawless law is no law at all. As was said in Ancient Rome, “Let the law
stand though the heavens fall”. This country has gone clinically insane due to a lawless government and a liberal mindset in a clueless population. The lunacy of open borders and “sanctuary cities”, regardless of what the courts say, will bring the US to the point of no return on the path to destruction. The war in Ukraine has already been lost and billions wasted. Perversion has put the nation on a downward trajectory, as the latest pet perversion …pedaphilia…is now being proposed by (ahem) “experts” as acceptable. Next will be animal/human sex. Why not? God’s natural created order has been violated and all barriers are simply seen as subjective. Common sense is dead, God is openly mocked, the government is lawless, babies are slaughtered and the nation has become cursed.
Jesus said that when He returns the world would be “ as it was in the days of Noah”. A nation that votes for criminals will get what it desires…and deserves.
