Catholic College Honors Pro-Abortion Journalist
What is happening? In this crucial time, the Church has got to stand for what is right, and it must stand up for the unborn.
From The Federalist. On the first of the month, the nationās only Catholic Spiritan universityĀ honoredĀ NBC News Washington correspondent Yamiche AlcindorĀ with the schoolās inaugural āDuquesne University Award for Ethics and Integrity in Journalism.āĀ Duquesne President Ken Gormley presented Alcindor with the honor at the National Press Club in D.C.
Join others crying out to the Lord day and night.
In anĀ interviewĀ with the Pittsburgh Post-GazetteĀ prior to the event, Gormley stated that Alcindor was selected because her journalistic approach aligned with the Congregation of the Holy Spiritās mission to ensure that āall voices are heard.ā He neglected to mention that the honoree, a self-described Catholic, has repeatedly ignored voices supporting the unborn.
During the award ceremony, Alcindor claimed that āeveryā woman she spoke with on the ground in the 10 to 15 states she visited leading up to this yearās midterm election, including those identifying as conservative, wasĀ āuncomfortableā with the decision inĀ Dobbs v. Jackson Womenās Health OrganizationĀ that overturnedĀ Roe v. Wade.
Alcindorās recollection is highly unlikely, according to her own broadcast network. NBC News exit polls conducted on Election DayĀ foundĀ that 87 percent of Republican women were enthusiastic or satisfied with the overturning ofĀ Roe.
The polling data also defied AlcindorāsĀ assertionĀ made during an episode of āThe ReidOutā in September that Republican women were āextremely upsetā about the reversal ofĀ Roe. Earlier in the month, she had alsoĀ suggested that potential female voters in the battleground states of Florida, Michigan, and Ohio were enthusiastic about the āhuman rightā of abortion. ā¦
Honoring Alcindor wasnāt the first questionable decision by Duquesne related to abortion this year.Ā In April, Gormley signed aĀ letterĀ in support of the University of Pittsburghās annual state funding after lawmakersĀ considered providing money directly to students because of Pittās horrific fetal tissue experiments that have relied on babies from elective abortions. ā¦
