The Biden administration is set to launch a COVID passport that would track Americans that took the vaccine, despite warnings by civil rights advocates. With breakneck speed, the left has finished their transformation of America from a land of Civil Rights to a land of dictator’s demands, and there is no opposition to the Democrats and RINOS in DC in sight.
“The Biden administration and private companies are working to develop a standard way of handling credentials — often referred to as ‘vaccine passports’ — that would allow Americans to prove they have been vaccinated against the novel coronavirus as businesses try to reopen,” the Washington Post reported on Sunday.
What is a vaccine passport?
A vaccine passport is a record of a traveler’s COVID-19-related health data, including whether they have been vaccinated or tested negative for the virus that causes it. . . .
Who’s making them?
The airline trade group is developing an app called Travel Pass meant to be used by any airline. Another, CommonPass, is a project from Swiss NGO the World Economic Forum and The Commons Project Foundation, a nonprofit that develops technology for public use.
Clear, a service that lets members use biometrics to verify their identity at airport security and started operating at O’Hare International Airport in 2019, has a Health Pass app. . . .
“The Biden administration has said the government shouldn’t play a role in designing the requirements — but tech companies and travel-related trade groups are developing and testing versions of the passes, and some countries have already started using them,” The New York Post reported.
One of the countries using new technology for tracking and scoring people in the UK.
Many people recognize that the real purpose for the COVID passports is for social scoring, an idea that liberty-loving people should throw out; however so many people are frightened to death of a virus, they are willing to give up all of their freedoms and rights to pretend they are going to be healthy forever and virus free. . . .

There is already a healthy discussion of the future of Communist Chinese-inspired social scoring. . .
Many see the COVID ap as merely a way of setting up a system for monitoring scoring for government-mandated competencies.

According to reports, the COVID-19 vaccine passport is already ready for use at dozens of venues statewide, including Madison Square Garden. While advertised as a “voluntary” measure, New York State officials are making it clear that not participating in the program will result in an individual being essentially shut out from society.
“New Yorkers have proven they can follow public health guidance to beat back COVID, and the innovative Excelsior Pass is another tool in our new toolbox to fight the virus while allowing more sectors of the economy to reopen safely and keeping personal information secure,” Gov. Cuomo said in introducing the vaccine passport. “The question of ‘public health or the economy has always been a false choice — the answer must be both. . . .
