Answered Prayer: Governor Asks for Anti-Woke Charter Schools
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has encouraged Hillsdale College to open 50 charter schools in order to combat the woke curriculum of public schools. These charter schools would teach conservative, pro-America values.
From Daily Mail. The governor of Tennessee has invited a private conservative college to open 50 charter schools whose anti-woke curriculum will teach students that America is ‘an exceptionally good country.’
Gov. Bill Lee, a Republican, said that Hillsdale College, whose base is in Michigan, could open the schools using public funds, including $32 million set aside for charter facilities, the New York Times reported.
Hillsdale College, which has close ties with former President Donald Trump, developed the ‘1776 Curriculum’ and is eager to add to its network of charter schools with the curriculum that focus on ‘the centrality of the Western tradition.’
That curriculum – which spans 2,400 pages – was set up in response to the New York Times 1619 Project, which frames the founding of the United States through the eyes of slaves, and has been blasted for multiple inaccuracies….
It comes as battles continue to rage across the US about what is being taught in public schools. Many parents have been outraged by the push towards divisive ‘equity’ lessons based on the teachings of critical race theory, which opponents say is divisive, and teaches white children that they are ‘oppressors….’
Hillsdale has been criticized for its curriculum, which puts a spin on American history and provides a negative take on the New Deal and global warming.
But to many Republican leaders, Hillsdale is a ‘shining city on a hill’ for its devotion to ‘liberty as an antecedent of government, not a benefit from government,’ Justice Clarence Thomas said in his 2016 commencement address….
Gov. Lee said he sees his new charter school expansion as part of an effort to develop what he called ‘informed patriotism’ in Tennessee students, according to the New York Times.
The Times reported that Lee envisions an expansion into suburban and rural areas where, like many Hillsdale charter schools, they would most likely enroll children who are whiter and more affluent than the average charter student….
‘They’re catering to white families and affluent families,’ said Charisse Gulosino, an associate professor of leadership and policy studies at the University of Memphis, whose research has found that students in suburban charter schools do not outperform their public school counterparts….

I hope this works out. We need the truth not NYT lies.
Praise God. Blessings as you take this bold step for our future generations. It’s never too late to take back what the enemy has tried to steal.
It is unwise to do anything with Government funding. This is the entire problem we are having at this time. The government needs to be kicked out of everything in our culture and our society. The last thing we need is more government involved in anything especially a Christian School on any level be at a university or high school and middle school or Elementary School. Sorry to be a spoilsport -but it seems to me the last thing we need right now- as we are in the midst of standing against Satan’s armies everywhere in our land- is ..to be in denial is bad enough -that most conservative voices including people that I will not name here- are still using the term “vaccine”.. come on people -let’s get serious. KEEP ALL GOV’T FUNDING OUT OF SCHOOLS. In The mighty name of Jesus, Amen
Great News! Are children deserve the truth! It is a privilege to live in America. I am proud of the Tennessee Governor.

God bless the governor of Tennessee for his vision and courage! May many more governors join him in providing excellent education for the children in their state.

Praise belongs to the Lord. Thank God for Governor Lee. God bless him.
Thank you for doing what you are doing, teaching young people about correct version of America being an exceptionally good country. We all need to keep it that way with God’s help. 🙏🏼

My grand children here in San Antonio TX attend Great Hearts. It is a charter school system in Tx and Arizona. It teaches a Classical Education and is partly funded by the state. These kids are way ahead of public school children in their education in all fields. They do compete in some sports also with other charter schools: Soccer, basketball, track and vollyball, possibly more and I just don’t know about it. I couldn’t be more pleased and impressed with their education.
Race, race, race…puh-lease!. I live in a rural area of Tennessee. My community neighbors are white, black, and latino. Contrary to wooden-headed race baiters, whites and blacks have lived as good neighbors in rural areas here as far back as I can remember, and we got along BEFORE the Civil Rights Act.
But even if rural Tennessee were mostly white, so what? Rural people pay taxes and our schools have been neglected because the tax base is not as dense. Rural kids deserve good schools, too….EVEN if they were all white! Our kids help work the farms that feed many. Give me a break!
excellent new!
Blessings to The state of Tennessee and his governorBill Lee for being courageous. May the Lord pour out his Holy Spirit on all who live there.
I am so thankful for Hillsdale College – as long as we have freedom, we have choices and alternatives, and we can create alternatives to things such as these ideologies which are destructive and damage the very foundation of our freedoms, our constitution and our God-given unalienable rights. If the public schools are nonresponsive to the wishes of the parents, then the parents have no choice but to create and pursue other options, like these charter schools, in order to protect their children and instill in them Biblical values, which are also the values upon which this country was founded. That fact is definitely something the woke want removed from our history – the knowledge that Biblical values are our foundation and the reason God blessed us as a nation in the past. These have been difficult times but God is using all these things to turn us back to Him and His ways before it is too late. I pray that He does not give us over to our own ways, as it says in Romans, but that more and more we turn to Him in repentance, seeking His wisdom and direction. http://www.mtothe5th.wordpress.com
amen, FATHER. Thank YOU for servents to serve others, in The NAME OF JESUS
With gratitude I pray this idea go throughout the States; especially here in Washington & the Pacific Northwest! We are hungry to see righteousness and truth restored; that we may teach our children and grandchildren godly values, bring holiness and wholeness to our Nation. I ask this in Jesus name as I believe for hearts and eyes to be turned back to you, oh Sovereign Redeemer. We cry out for Your mercy and grace over our children.
Father, thank you for what looks like an alternative. I do not want my tax dollars paying for the new gender and race education at public schools, (or abortions) and I ask you to intervene as this makes Christians an unintentiinal funder of these ungodly activities so I pray that you woukd eradicate them cometely and let those who developed them and pushed them incur the financial loss. Father these ungodly activities woukd not be in question had our election not been stolen. The thief is obvious…according to your word, please restore 7x what was stolen from our economy, our pockets, our families, and the minds of our children.
Restore us Oh Lord. In Jesus Name.
Amen! Pray for California. Praise the Lord for Gov. Bill Lee! Teach your children to stand up and respect the flag, even though no one else does around you! It is sad to see what is happening in our schools and society!
Lord,
Bless Hillsdale College as they have been a shining light in all this darkness that is attempting to overrun this country. I pray you bless their endeavor to set up charter schools, not just in Tenneessee, but across our nation. I pray for parents to support alternative education that focuses on what children should be learning – education subjects, not race baiting and sexuality. Bless Govenor Lee and I pray other governors will start standing up with him and requesting Hillsdale set up schools in their states. Lord, we ask for victory as we try and protect our children from the evil one.
I am thankful for this great news and prayers that it comes to fruition! I am a lifelong Tennesseean and governor Lee has been very focused on trying to improve our education system. He has a heart for family and for Jesus and doesn’t mind standing up for both. I pray God’s blessings on this venture of his. The naysayers from Memphis which is sadly as woke a city as Nashville is now where I live can rest easy knowing the education system is mostly in their favor and they can continue to indoctrinate but the parents who support conservative values and a TRUE education deserve it! We have taxpayers here of ALL colors-not just white-who want a great education for their kids! Thanks governor Lee and Hillsdale!
Yay Hillsdale college… my grand other, mother & father went to Hillsdale.
