Enter Healing Tree International and William Penn’s Proclamation for Peace and Unity.

This organization, in partnership with other local and international organizations, are seeking to awaken William Penn’s original vision for the United States of America – his vision granted by God in Christ Church, Oxford – of a Holy Experiment, the Seed of a Nation, described in the quote above.

William Penn—America’s Grandfather

William Penn had a supernatural encounter with God in his teens, at Christ Church, Oxford, where God essentially downloaded to Penn the vision for the Holy Experiment and the seed of a nation founded on godly governance. Penn was told that he would “set captives free.” Little did he know then that these would be captives imprisoned on the grounds of religious persecution and that he would become a defender of religious liberty.

Penn envisioned a sort of parliament of nations where principles of peace and justice could help solve international disputes as well as an international court where biblical principles could enforce just laws. He is certainly our founding grandfather as his writings, written one hundred years prior to our Constitution, formed its framework.  Thomas Jefferson said of him, “William Penn was the greatest lawgiver the world has produced, being the first, in ancient or modern times who has laid the foundation of government in the pure and unadulterated principles of peace, reason, and right.”

In Penn’s Charter of Privileges, written in 1701, he wrote, “I do hereby grant and declare, That no Person or Persons, inhabiting in this Province or Territories, who shall confess and acknowledge One almighty God, the Creator, Upholder and Ruler of the World; and profess him or themselves obliged to live quietly under the Civil Government, shall be in any Case molested or prejudiced, in his or their Person or Estate, because of his or their conscientious Persuasion or Practice, nor be compelled to frequent or maintain any religious Worship, Place or Ministry, contrary to his or their Mind, or to do or super any other Act or Thing, contrary to their religious Persuasion.” One of Penn’s famous quotes declares, “If thou wouldst rule well, thou must rule for God, and to do that, thou must be ruled by him.” He insisted that people must be governed by God or they will be ruled by tyrants.

Using Penn’s Principles to Inform Government Today

Through these God-given principles of government, Dr. Abby Abildness, CEO of Healing Tree International, and others seek to ‘disciple nations’ and bring God’s wisdom to uphold our God-given freedoms in Pennsylvania, in other states of the Union, and then to the world. Dr. Abildness believes we are in a Kairos moment for Penn’s prophecy to come to pass. “Politicians are awakening to the validity and power of Penn’s vision to heal the nation and bring a new birth of freedom. Pennsylvania, the womb of the nation, is the Keystone State, with God-given keys for her healing and restoration. We desire to get it into the hearts of ‘We the People’ to be awakened themselves and enter into the healing and restoration of our nation and the nations.”

Healing Tree International puts into practice William Penn’s peace and unity founding governance principles. In fact, Dr. Abildness and her husband, Jim, are in the midst of establishing a Penn United Nations Peace Council. Dr. Abildness has just returned from London, England where she met with several European UN diplomats who see potential in Penn’s principles for bringing about the ‘healing of the nations.’ Dr. Abildness is also the Pennsylvania State director of the legislative prayer caucus and leads the Global Apostolic Prayer Network of over 88 nations. She is state leader for the Pennsylvania Apostolic prayer network, a regional leader over Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, New York, and Maryland.

Healing Tree International is currently filming a documentary, Penn’s Seed: The Awakening, which will be released for Penn’s birthday, October 14, 2022.

July 1, 2022, A Historic Event

IFA joins Dr. Abildness in praying for all Americans to catch this vision and for as many as possible to join an historic event on Friday, July 1, 2022, either in person or via live stream. Abby believes that this model could even help avert the chaos some are predicting.

Dr. Abildness, along with Representative David Zimmerman and Senator Chris Dush, and other legislators of the government of Pennsylvania, are holding A Celebration of Penn’s Proclamation for Peace and Unity in the Capitol Rotunda in Harrisburg, PA from 10am-11:30 pm on July 1. Gubernatorial candidate Senator Doug Mastriano will also present at the event. They will read and sign a proclamation based directly on Penn’s writings as a declaration of the intentions and governing principles for the state of Pennsylvania.

These passionate influencers desire to reawaken the “Holy Seed” of Pennsylvania “which, from the beginning and by Penn’s design, was a complex Society of people of different ethnic, racial, and economic background dwelling peaceably. This model of diversity then became the basis for the American melting pot” (from Penn Proclamation of Peace and Unity).

Senator Mastriano has stated publicly that he desires to be the governor who brings Penn’s vision alive legislatively. He has determined that on day one of his term as governor he would bring executive orders to restore these basic freedoms in Pennsylvania. These legislators will be joined by legislators from ten other states, and any others able to come to Harrisburg to witness and take part in this historic event.

As IFA intercessors, we can partner with this event by praying for Penn’s vision to come to full fruition for such a time as this. No matter where we live in the U.S., these principles undergird our nation’s founding and Constitution, and constitute a blueprint from God’s heart for our future. While worldly voices clamor for attention, let us have ears to hear what God is saying to the church in the U.S.: Let the Holy Experiment succeed, and the Holy Seed come forth!
