According to Reuters, “The United States carried out air strikes authorised by President Joe Biden against facilities belonging to Iranian-backed militia in eastern Syria on Thursday, in response to rocket attacks against U.S. targets in Iraq, the Pentagon said. . . .

Syria did not immediately comment, but state-owned Ekhbariya TV said the strikes were conducted at dawn against several targets near the Syrian-Iraqi border. . . .

Biden’s decision to strike only in Syria and not in Iraq, at least for now, gives Iraq’s government some breathing room as it investigates a Feb. 15 attack that wounded Americans. . . .

According to the New York Times, “President Biden authorized the strikes in response to the rocketing in Iraq and to continuing threats to American and coalition personnel there, said John F. Kirby, the Pentagon press secretary, who spoke with reporters traveling with Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III in California.

A rocket attack on Feb. 15 on the airport in Erbil, in northern Iraq, killed a Filipino contractor with the American-led military coalition and wounded six others, including a Louisiana National Guard soldier and four American contractors. . . .

American officials said the strikes were a relatively small, carefully calibrated military response: seven 500-pound bombs dropped on a small cluster of buildings at an unofficial crossing at the Syria-Iraq border used to smuggle across weapons and fighters.

The strikes were just over the border in Syria to avoid diplomatic blowback to the Iraqi government. The Pentagon offered up larger groups of targets but Mr. Biden approved a less aggressive option, American officials said.

The American airstrikes on Thursday “specifically destroyed multiple facilities located at a border control point used by a number of Iranian-backed militia troops, including Kataib Hezbollah and Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada,” Mr. Kirby said.

“This proportionate military response was conducted together with diplomatic measures, including consultation with coalition partners,” he added. “The operation sends an unambiguous message: President Biden will act to protect American and coalition personnel.”

Mr. Kirby said the American retaliation was meant to punish the perpetrators of the rocket attack but not to escalate hostilities with Iran, with which the Biden administration has sought to renew talks on a nuclear deal that President Donald J. Trump had shelved. . . .

According to Reuters, “. .  .“President Biden will act to protect American and Coalition personnel. At the same time, we have acted in a deliberate manner that aims to de-escalate the overall situation in both eastern Syria and Iraq.”

He said the strikes destroyed multiple facilities at a border control point used by Iranian-backed militant groups, including Kata’ib Hezbollah and Kata’ib Sayyid al-Shuhada.

After the strikes, the Iranian and Syrian foreign ministers spoke and underlined “the need of the West to adhere to U.N. Security Council resolutions regarding Syria,” Iranian government website Dolat.ir said.

A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the decision to carry out the strikes was meant as a signal that Washington wanted to punish the militias but did not want the situation to spiral into a bigger conflict. . . .

According to US News, “Michael McCaul, the top Republican on the House of Representatives’ foreign affairs committee, said the strikes “remind Iran, its proxies, and our adversaries around the world that attacks on U.S. interests will not be tolerated.” . . .

The rocket attacks on U.S. positions in Iraq were carried out as Washington and Tehran seek a way to return to the 2015 nuclear deal abandoned by former U.S. President Donald Trump.

It was not clear how, or whether, the strike might affect U.S. efforts to coax Iran back into a negotiation about both sides resuming compliance with the agreement.

In the Feb. 15 attack, rockets hit the U.S. military base housed at Erbil International Airport in the Kurdish-run region, killing one non-American contractor and wounding a number of American contractors and a U.S. service member. . . .

Rockets on Monday hit Baghdad’s Green Zone, which houses the U.S. Embassy and other diplomatic missions. . . .

Psalm 83 gives details of the Arab nations contiguous with Israel which will attack her in the 2nd Seal war (the red horse rider; Edom, a Hebrew word which equates with “red” and would be a biblical indication of the Arab nations). There are 3 wars in Revelation prior to the Millennium: 1) 2nd seal/Psalm 83 war where Israel is attacked by those nations surrounding her 2) the 6th trumpet/Ezekiel 38-39 war where Israel is attacked by the next layer of nations farther out which surround her 3) 6th bowl war at Armageddon where Israel is attacked by “the kings of the whole world” (Rev. 16:14). Amazingly, God preserves Israel as He has during the past century, but these will be tough times.

Isn’t it peculiar that the Biden puppet has failed to contact Israel’s leadership since his illegitimate inauguration? We all know that President Trump has been the best President in history with respect to the support of Israel and her democratic sovereignty in the volatile Middle East region. Acknowledging Jerusalem as the Eternal Capitol of Israel; moving the American Embassy to the Holy City; confirming Israel’s right to the Golan Heights; & brokering the Abrahamic Accord with multiple Muslim nations- for which ’45’ has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize 4 times. The fake president is making gestures to the Palestinian cause, compelled by the virulent antisemitic ‘Squad’ [AOC & 3].

Many Biblical Christians do not know about ‘The Psalm 83 War’. My personal study in the Holy Word leads me to believe that years before the Ezekiel 38 &39 WWIII- which may happen immediately AFTER the genuine Rapture of the true church- there will be a regional war where Israel is again attacked by a group of Muslim nations, which the Chosen People will decisively win [again] expanding her borders. An excellent presentation of this provocative scenario is detailed in my book review here: https://zionsgate.wordpress.com/2014/02/08/the-imminent-psalm-83-war/

We MUST continue to ‘Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem’… all of Israel, the innocent people of the Middle East- and for their salvation, healing, and deliverance. Until Trump America has suffered greatly for our ungodly ‘diplomatic’ behavior toward Israel. This book review explains the sad results: https://zionsgate.wordpress.com/2013/07/17/america-on-a-collision-course-with-god-yhvh/
