History Makers Rededicate America
IFA’s Rededicate America at the Museum of the Bible on the third and Fourth of July was sold out and jam-packed with inspiration, fellowship, and worship, as we joined our minds and hearts to recount, reclaim, and rededicate.

Our President and CEO, David Kubal, had a vision for the event nearly a year before President Donald Trump announced we would rededicate America to the Lord on May 17.
Mr. Kubal sensed the Lord wanted our event to focus on celebrating what He’s done throughout our 250 years as a nation.
On Friday, Mr. Kubal presented a version of his First Friday webcast, pointing out that we are history makers as we pray and act. He invited us to re-dig the wells of generational blessings and recount the steadfast covenants our forebears made with the Lord.
Recount
Dr. Jim Garlow, Founder and CEO of Well Versed, a ministry to Members of Congress, Members of Parliament, and other elected officials, led the charge on recounting how the Lord’s hand has stirred and acted on our nation over the years. It was a talk he’d been longing to give, and he was delighted to have the opportunity. He started in 1607, telling how settlers landed at Cape Henry and dedicated the continent to sharing the Gospel here and around the world. He moved through highlights of the First Great Awakening, focusing on Jonathan Edwards and George Whitfield, who saturated the colonies with the Gospel.
Dr. Garlow concluded his talk by telling the story of Haym Salomon, a Jewish financier who funded the Continental Congress and Continental Army, and gave no-interest loans to key founders, including James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, and James Monroe. Dr. Garlow shared a sculpture of Mr. Salomon by Scott Stearman. Dr. Garlow is working to get a 16-foot version of the sculpture installed in Washington, D.C.
This was Pastor Judy Spiegel’s favorite session. She wrote that her Messianic congregation is…
…continually praying and working to elevate the revelation of the Jew and Gentile as One, the importance of the Old Testament to our understanding of Who God is, and the revelation of Jesus, Yeshua, throughout the entire Bible. The powerful focus of that revelation was so evident in the opening sessions on Friday. The story of Haym Salomon and the contribution of this Jewish Patriot to our success in the Revolutionary War was fascinating.
Kris Kubal, IFA’s Chief Program Officer, designed the banners that filled the stage — floor to ceiling — with heroes of our past, like Paul Revere, George Washington, and Abraham Lincoln, and with IFA prayer leaders who are changing history now with prayer and action.
Mrs. Kubal spoke about the importance of the Declaration of Independence and how the signers had risked their lives for our liberties.
In a surprise performance, I portrayed Rev. John Bacon, inviting the crowd to be history makers and join in what would become the Boston Tea Party.
Reclaim

Prayer Leader and Pastor Dutch Sheets shared a vision he had had in 1990 that the Third Great Awakening would begin with the youth. He asked the Lord to confirm it at a Biblethon on the Capitol lawn by arranging for him to read from Habakkuk or Haggai. When he arrived at the Biblethon, they were no where near to reading these biblical books. Yet, he was offered his choice between those two! And there’s a book in between them!
That was Barbara Quarles’ favorite segment, saying it was amazing to hear him…
…telling us how God had made it so clear to him — beyond a shadow of a doubt — that we are going to have a Third Great Awakening, and I love it. God was just outrageous in showing Dutch that! It’s irreplaceable and so important to know these things and know them all the way.
Pastor Sheets encouraged us to reclaim that promise and pray for the young people who are hungry for the Lord right now to be properly discipled. He led us in a powerful time of prayer to close his segment.
Pastor Dutch Sheets mentioned IFA’s Rededicate America on Give Him 15 July 6 and 7.
On Day two, Coach Joe Kennedy shared how he’d partnered with Pennsylvania Prayer Group leader April Walker to share how his right to pray on the football field was reclaimed by the Supreme Court. Then they screened the film about it: Average Joe.
Rededicate
Mr. Kubal interviewed seven State Prayer Group leaders who had rededicated their states to the Lord. They shared powerful stories of gathering at state capitols and other key locations, breaking Masonic curses and dedicating territories to the Lord.
The State Prayer Groups were inspired by IFA’s The American Spiritual Heritage Project as they planned and executed their rededication events.
Missouri Prayer Group leader Pam Zook told how their group uncovered a connection between U.S. President Harry Truman and Jewish businessman Ed Jacobson. The two grew up together in Missouri. Because Mr. Jacobson reached out to President Truman, America was the first country to recognize Israel as a modern nation.
Iowa Prayer Group leader Tom McGovern said they discovered that “Iowa has deep roots, and we have re-dug those wells.” He observed, “What IFA has put together here is historical.”
These videos of State Prayer Group leaders were shown:
Kris Kubal interviewed two modern history makers, Jenny Story and Dr. Tammy Born Huizenga.
Mrs. Story, who founded Patriot Mobile with her husband Glenn, said they founded the company so their customers could support conservative, Christian causes. Dr. Huizenga left a thriving private practice to join the Health and Human Services department to work on getting America healthy again.
Cindy Jacobs co-founded Generals International with her husband, Mike Jacobs. Mrs. Jacobs focused on the key mission America has as “a city set on a hill” and “a light to the nations.” She exhorted us to re-dig the wells of the original mission to guard against being taken over by Islam and other hostile forces.
According to Mrs. Jacobs, our redemptive call draws America out to present Jesus to unreached nations. To pray specifically for unreached people groups, she invited us to visit The Joshua Project.
She encouraged IFA with the many gains we are seeing in the public sphere, even while urging us on in our prayer and action. She prophesied that God would bring reformation on our university campuses and led the group in decreeing that America would never become a communist nation.
She concluded her segment with a prayer for the downfall of the Islamic regime in Iran.
Mr. Kubal interviewed Lucas Miles, Senior Director of Turning Point USA Faith. Mr. Miles thanked IFA for praying over and anointing each seat at many TPUSA events. Mr. Miles spoke about the importance of intercession for the ministry. He spoke movingly about how founder Charlie Kirk’s death has affected him and the ministry.
Recording Artist Danny Gokey roused the intercessors with a concert filled with patriotic songs, including “My America (I Still Believe)” and “Brave.” He also shared an important and edgy song, “Makeup,” exposing the way evil dresses up with finery to lure millions into sin.
Worship held the entire two-day event together. When it wasn’t led by Mr. Gokey, Israel D. O-Israel, with — and later without — his band, drew us into the deep places with the Lord.
Each speaker was introduced with a dramatic reading from Scripture from the upcoming IFA project, Public Reading of Scripture.
On the Fourth of July I closed the program portraying Rev. Dr. John Witherspoon retelling how he’d risked his life to sign the Declaration of Independence and exhorting the audience to live in a manner worthy of the gospel and honoring to the Lord’s purposes in founding America.
Wisconsin Prayer Group leader Maryjo Coleman prayed:
Thank You for this ministry and GLORIOUS event, Father. May You take it to another level, many levels, as we continue to rededicate our states and our nation, back to You, Jesus. In your name. Amen.
If you attended Rededicate America, what were the highlights for you? Either way, how are you praying for America?
