I Prayed have prayed
Lord, we ask You to soften and change the hearts of the Iranian leadership. We pray that, as peace negotiations continue, America and Israel would both be protected.

UPDATE: A U.S. official confirmed on Friday afternoon that Israel and Hezbollah had agreed to a ceasefire.

Efforts to launch formal peace negotiations between the United States and Iran have encountered an unexpected setback after Iranian officials reportedly delayed their participation in planned talks in Switzerland. The delay comes just days after reports of a memorandum of understanding aimed at ending the recent conflict and establishing a framework for a broader agreement.

Have you taken your place on the wall?

While both sides had signaled interest in pursuing negotiations, developments in the Middle East appear to have complicated the diplomatic process.

From Breitbart:

The talks, set for the mountaintop resort of Burgenstock, would not take place, Switzerland’s foreign ministry confirmed, but gave no details.

AP reports the announcement followed a report from Al-Mayadeen, a Pan-Arab satellite channel that is politically allied with the Iranian-backed Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, that Iran was delaying sending its delegation to Switzerland over Israel’s ongoing military campaign in Lebanon.

The memorandum of understanding (MOU) that President Donald Trump personally signed “lays out a broad plan to end the conflict and hash out a comprehensive deal within 60 days,” with the U.S. and Iran agreeing to immediately halt military operations while promising to withhold future attacks.

According to reports, Vice President JD Vance had been preparing to travel to Switzerland for the negotiations when word arrived that Iran would not immediately participate. American diplomatic teams, security personnel, and support staff had already traveled to the country in anticipation of the talks.

Iranian officials later indicated that ongoing military operations involving Israel and Hezbollah were a factor in the delay. Additional reports suggested that Tehran wants to see evidence that portions of the recently announced agreement are being implemented before committing to the next phase of negotiations.

The proposed agreement reportedly includes commitments from both nations to cease military operations, avoid future attacks, and work toward a comprehensive settlement within 60 days. It also addresses broader issues such as regional security, economic sanctions, commercial shipping routes, and Iran’s nuclear program.

The delay highlights the fragile nature of diplomacy in the Middle East, where developments in one conflict can quickly affect negotiations in another. Israel’s continuing efforts against Hezbollah in Lebanon remain closely tied to Iran, which has long supported the terrorist organization politically, financially, and militarily.

Despite the setback, neither side has indicated that negotiations have collapsed entirely. Officials continue to express hope that a new date can be established and that talks will resume once outstanding concerns are addressed.

These developments serve as a reminder that true peace is difficult to achieve through human efforts alone. While diplomacy and negotiations can play an important role, lasting peace ultimately depends on wisdom, justice, and hearts that are transformed by God.

Lord, I pray for VP Vance that he would stop endangering Israel either on purpose or in nativity. he needs wisdom from you and not His own wisdom. Let him know that Israel had a right to defend itself from missiles raining down on their territory. Hamas has not disarmed according to the previous agreement and Iran proxy in Lebanon has refused.. He is not trusting you and is allowing the enemy to deceive and manipulate him. Lord. open up his eyes and President Trump’s eyes to see what they are doing to Your people. Change his attitude to be in favor of Your people. Lord. expose His thoughts and His heart. These peace places that were made will fail because it is man. Now they are reaching out to the PLO, This is bad policy by the USA. The PLO has no authority and most people their prefer Hamas. Lord, please tell our government to stop negotiating with terrorists. All Trump and Vance care about is looking good for the midterms. By going against You, they will fail. As a nation, Lord we are divided, just like we are trying to divide Israel or not stand with Israel. A nation divided against itself can not stand. It will fall. May President Trump REPENT of His pride and arrogant heart. May he and Vance truly call out to you from the heart. I pray the same for Steve Witcoff and Jared Kushner
