The federal judge overseeing Michael Flynn’s criminal prosecution has directed the law firm that Flynn fired to reappear as an interested party in the controversial proceeding. On Thursday, that firm complied by filing a notice of appearance.

U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan of the District of Columbia on Thursday ordered the clerk of the court to “add Covington & Burling LLP (‘Covington’) as an interested party in this matter and directed counsel for Covington to file a notice of appearance on behalf of Covington as an interested party.”. . .
The order follows the highly controversial decision by the DOJ last week to file a motion to drop the criminal charges against Flynn, despite the retired lieutenant general having already pleaded guilty to lying to agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The DOJ now believes the Flynn case was an inappropriate setup.
Flynn was initially represented by Covington & Burling and attorneys Robert Kelner and Stephen Anthony when he pleaded guilty to charges that he lied to the FBI. However, he fired his legal team soon thereafter and replaced it with a new team of attorneys led by conservative lawyer Sidney Powell. The new attorneys immediately accused Flynn’s previous legal team of ineffective assistance of counsel.
“Mr. Flynn’s guilty plea (and later failure to withdraw it) was the result of the ineffective assistance of counsel provided by his former lawyers, who were in the grip of intractable conflicts of interest, and severely prejudiced him,” Flynn’s current legal team wrote in a January motion to withdraw his guilty plea.
“That pernicious conflict infected and prejudiced his defense until he retained new counsel in 2019.”

Lord, we repent for anything Gen Flynn has done to separate you from him. The lies, false statements and attempt to unseat a duly elected president via Gen Flynn is beyond what many of us can fathom. We pray for his release from these lies and any attempt to threaten Judge Sullivan to bring those who didn’t represent Gen Flynn in the first place. Lord, you are a God of justice, let your mighty right arm reign down on this appalling trial that never should have been. You are a God of order, bring order to this case and settle it. Protect all those who are fighting for Gen Flynn. Justice, restoration and retribution are yours Lord. We pray in Jesus Name. We look for you to show up, Lord.
Lord I lift up General Flynn, it is time that he be delivered from the lies of the enemy working through our government.

Lord Almighty in the precious name of Jesus we ask for this matter concerning General Flynn to be resolved. I ask Father that he will be vindicated. That his enemies and all those that conspired against him will be brought to light and to justice. Lord change this judges heart and bring him to repentance.To follow the rule of law as he has sworn to do. Father we ask that all of General Flynn’s goods will be restored to him. Lord we thank You for this opportunity to see the previous legal team in the light as You see them. They have now proven they did not have the best interest of the client when they advised him to plea to a lie he did not commit. Father, we thank You for exposing the levels of corruption in the judicial system around Washington and the conflicts of interest this team had given their ties to the previous administration. We know it has been 3 years now and we ask that you would restore this General, restore his family, his name, his life savings spent on his defense for false accusations and we pray his position within this administration would be restored, for he knows much about what Your enemies have desperately tried to hide from the American people. We pray eyes of our Brothers and Sisters to be opened, that they would read transcripts and see with transparency the truth that was covered in deceit of the media & corrupt officials and we pray Lord for Your church to awaken, no longer tolerating the lies that divide us or a platform that denies You. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray You make a way and we thank You we that You placed us in such a time like this to see Your work at hand. Father God, You detest injustice.
We pray in the mighty name of Jesus that this evil scheme against the General will be destroyed, and he will be exonerated. We pray that each person in this evil cabal which set him up WILL come to justice, and be exposed for their wickedness. Father, I pray that the millions of dollars which he spent to defend himself will be returned. And Father, please release Roger Stone who was also arrested by this same evil cabal.

Change this judge’s heart today. What has happened to Gen. Flynn is plain wickedness, and we cast this wicked spirit behind this whole matter to dry barren land, in the name of Jesus!
