Depression and hopelessness has swept across our nation. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of those who suffer with depression has tripled.
It saddens me to see that many who are facing a lack of hope are born-again believers – the Body of Christ. It’s even more alarming that it happened in just a few short months.
Some Christians who have walked with God for decades are afraid of what the future holds. Why?
Because we are daily inundated with negative news which has superseded the Word of God. We must remember we are not the only ones who have faced bleak times.
At times like these, I think about Daniel in the lion’s den and Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the fiery furnace. How bleak did their future appear? Not only their future, but they faced a terrible end, ripped apart by a lion or torched by fire. Neither aspect looked pleasant, did it?
Yet God said…
For I know the plans I have for you, plans for a continual hope and a good future (Jer 29:11).
There have been many times in 2020 that I have had to remind myself of His truth. The truth that God was not and is not surprised by any of this.
The truth that what God said at the beginning of this year is still true as the year comes to an end. What He prophesied through His seasoned prophets remains His plan.
He is the God of the impossible. He is the God who delivers. Not one word He has ever spoken has failed to come to pass. These are the things many of us have had to remind ourselves of this year.
In times like these we need to study the pages of God’s Word to find encouragement, rather than focus on the news which has planted doubt and fear.
God never ever, not one time, lost a battle.
There was never a time in history that God made a declaration that did not come to pass.
Not. One. Time.
Will this time be any different? No, it will not. If He has said it, He will bring it to pass.
Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. Your faithfulness endures to all generations; You established the earth, and it abides (Ps 119:89-90).
If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself (2 Tm 2:13).
God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? (Num 23:19)
So, what do we do in the meantime? Having done all, we stand firm on His Word, He will keep us in perfect, undisturbed peace…when OUR MIND IS STAYED UPON HIM.
He cannot keep us in peace if our focus is not on Him. We cannot focus on NBC, CBS, Fox News, or OANN and stay in peace – it is not possible.
However, we can focus on God’s Word and remain undisturbed.
We are surely at a crossroads in our country. Time, it would appear, is running out for a turnaround. But things are not always as they appear. Will you still believe?
It also appeared time had run out for Daniel as he boldly walked into the lion’s den. But that wasn’t the end of the story.
It appeared time had run out for the three Hebrew boys as they faced a fiery furnace. That wasn’t the end of their story either. There was a fourth man in the fire that day. That same man is with us today.
Our God has made us promises in His infallible Word. He said, “If we humble ourselves and pray and seek His face, He will heal our land.” We have done that personally, and as a nation.
Make no mistake about it. He will keep His Word. He will do His part. He will heal our land. It isn’t over until He declares, “It is finished.” Will you believe?

3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.
This verse tells us to dress ourselves with a garment of praise and that heaviness or depression is a spirit. Remember saints it is spiritual warfare. The Lord is not a man he should lie. Be blessed knowing God loves us. Amen

Amazing spirit lead and timely article. In our small group we just got reports of people experiencing overwhelming oppression and depression. Even my wife who is such an optimistic person experience those symptoms and we are praying them away in Jesus name

Shadrach, Meschak and Abendego had enough faith to refuse to bow to the idol and declared God could deliver them, yet they also acknowledged that even if he did not, they still would not bow. This could be a missing link, with everyone so convinced by the prophets that Trump will get a second term, has anyone stopped to declare “but even if he does not we will still believe in his goodness”. Job 13:15, Job declares, “Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him.”Psalms 46:2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea. Father we hope in your mercy but declare like the Hebrew youth, like Job, and like the Psalmist: we choose to believe and exalt you despite the outcome! thank you.
Yes. God has been dealing with me that I must trust Him despite the outcome. He has not revealed to me the outcome, only that I must trust Him. I am convinced that God is fully capable of giving Trump a second term, but even if He does not, the battle was won at Calvary with His proclamation “It is Finished.”
Father in Heaven, on of the saddest verses to me in the Bible is when it asks, “Will Jesus find faith when he returns?” For many years I did not even understand that verse much less believe that it was a possibility. Back in March when the church doors were locked and a sign was placed that said visit with us online I was aghast that the leaders were indeed afraid and had lost Hope in you. I thank you this day for the shaking. I thank you that I took time to examine my faith and look at what others were doing. I thank you that you hunkered down with me and lead me through the Bible to understand that it doesn’t matter what the world does, it matters what your children do. All eyes are on you Dad. You know the beginning from the end and you will never leave us nor forsake us. Come Lord Jesus. Amen.
Sister’s and Brother’s I don’t write or leave reply much in these arenas – but really felt led to this time.
I myself have a set of circumstances where “hope” is the only anchor personally I can take. There is no other option available for me as a Believer that Christ will redeem those of us who pursue and suffer through the rigors of this life in all it’s entanglements. Christ did. He showed us how to do it. Simple. Believe. Trust and Acknowledge. Everything then will be directed according to His will which we will accept – not mandate – but accept that His will is for us not against us. It just doesn’t look like Southern Living. It does not have that postcard backdrop we see others have. Recall when your parents said when you argued; “But Tommy gets to do that! His parents don’t have any problem with him doing it.” ANDDDDD – the good parent said: “What Tommy gets to do is up to his parents, but this parent believes that what is right for you is what will save you from future sorrows believing you can do whatever you want and it will be alight, just “as long as you don’t hurt anyone!” Ha! Even that interpretation is askewed right? So we are not born for this world or this life. We are anchored in Him who died for us. We have got to clamore to be on the same page of scriptures that God has for His children to agree upon and walk together on. We will find true peace, true Love, true faith that has hope….”and that hope will not disappoint us.” We are looking for a better “home”. I applaud those precious brother’s and sister’s who fight the good fight in Washington! God please keep blessing their surroundings, their families. they have been tireless. Let us keep praying and lifting them up and yes , where we can – fund the many endeavours that take that kind of money to keep our belief’s going – but bottom line is – money will not always be the winner at the end of the day will it? So – our faithfulness to the Word and our Savior is the “winner” – He comes back to take us to our true home. So Saints – can I say – yes- it looks hopeless – at times outright depressing – but never are we to give up our hopeFUL ness. He told us not to – let’s not grow weary. Keep going. Keep trusting. Keep humble. Keep forgiving. Keep loving the Savior of our souls. He is coming back for those who remain in Him. His unfailing love comfort us each just as He promised us” Ps. 119:76 and in IS. 51: 12 “I, yes I, am the one who comforts you. SO WHY ARE YOU AFRAID?”

I am one of many Christians that has had the struggle of momentary depression. When I understood that much of it was a result of the assault of our enemy, then it helped me respond in a way that God wanted me to. I have to continually put on the armor of God. Because there are times I take off or part of it off and then forget to put it back on. I can’t do that – most if not all of us are in the same boat. Armor is there for war and we are in a war.
It is imperative that we not ingest a lot of news today and that when we do, we put on a proper news filter before doing so. Much of “the news” today and SocMed is controlled by Satan and his puppets on earth. We must determine where to get our news and limit it. I’m not saying live in a cave (though it’s tempting) but be wise in where we look for news. I really encourage Christians to abandon facebook and twitter because since they are unabashedly censoring facts, truth and science by design…why would Christians look for news or facts in a place that is willingly destroying and restricting it?! We are not to seek truth in areas that are openly opposed to truth!
** God give us wisdom during these times. Press into our souls and minds that your word gives us what we need and seek. Help us to surround ourselves with those who love and cherish you Lord. Uplift anyone struggling during these difficult times and help us to be a light to one another. In your name we pray amen. **
Oops, I meant, that seek to oppress us.
Lord, give us a steadfastness and persistence to rebel and push back against the forces of darkness and seek to oppress us. Destroy every controlling force and help us kneel humbly before You in repentance. In Jesus name, Amen. Yes, I will still believe and I intend to continue to push back against the darkness and speak the truth in love.
Let’s not forget that verse also says “repent of their wicked ways.” America has her part to do in this equation.

Just now the thought came spontaneously about 12:29 (December 29th) I searched: Scripture for 12:29 and Mark 12:29-31 popped up on my screen….Wow because this is a most important week in our nation ….the first scripture told what God is doing in Isa 29:20–He will do what He says He will do and this 2nd one is where my focus needs to be. Mark 12:29-31.. Such perfection is our God.

Awesome verses, you are so right on!!! The verse you shared on the greatest command which is love, i will share this: with all the corruption in government and among the worlds billionaire elite, the human instinct the human response is often a hatred toward those who would use their influence and their fortunes for corruption against our nation But God checked me on those attitudes and reminded me that we are to BLESS our enemies, after reading something on an honest news venue i was fuming against two government leaders in particular and my mind was shooting them down with Rapid fire thoughts Of judgment and disgust etc., then i turned to this venue here to pray and those two exact same individuals happened to be the very ones we were reminded here to pray for!! I was stunned and sad that i needed that reminder AGAIN! The enemy has that type of holier than thou pharisee religious type of hatred as a hook he can use we need to remember the words of Jesus to LOVE and BLESS our enemies! Phillippians 2:3 says Do not act out of selfish ambition or conceit, but with humility think of OTHERS as being better than yourselves. Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself.
Father i pray that you would give these revelation reminders of LOVE to all your church your intercessors all who claim your name to step up in Love and step up in prayers for our enemies in government, to stop bashing them in our hearts and minds and on public media and to simply get before you and commit to your word to Love them to think Godly thoughts of love and compassion toward them, many of the government leaders care catholic or protestant so they have some level of faith but have become deceived and corrupted Father help us to pray for them to consider them above ourselves and ask you to bless them with your true Gospel of Love, holiness unto God, and conviction. Since the gospel of John Chapter 1 clearly says Jesus IS the word, loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength means loving the word that way to obey it and do as it says! Jesus said He who loves me (aka the WORD) obeys me!!! The 7 spirits of God come together to bring us the word, help us to revere it, give us the counsel to obey it, wisdom to understand it, perceive it, the might to obey it, isaiah says: Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, and a branch from his roots will bear fruit. The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD. And He will delight in the fear of the LORD, and He will not judge by what His eyes see, nor make a decision by what His ears hear…” we the church can not continue to condemn our corrupt government officials by what we read and hear we need to obey God to love them and pray for them! Then we will see true change and revival!
As we yield to the seven spirits we delight in the fear of the Lord aka the WORD…The gospel of John chapter 1: in the beginning was the WORD the word was with God and WAS God, the word was made FLESH (Jesus) and dwelled among us. Revelation (again written by John) says…and his NAME is the WORD! Revelation 19:13, NIV: “He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.” Revelation 19:13, ESV: “He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The WORD of God.” The sinners prayer is a start but believing and trusting Jesus for salvation is burying ourself in the WORD learning it yielding to it and loving it HIM and thereby the WORD becomes flesh our reality!

Father in the name of Jesus we commit here now to love our enemies the uber rich elite and the enemies that have infiltrated our government and used their money and positions of authority for greed and corruption and to promote socialism with desire to change the constitution of our nation. Father your word says be angry but sin not! So Father we are angry but understand the enemies are not flesh and blood but are principalities and powers we choose to love and bless all the enemies of our nation you know them all by name and you know the precise blessings they need, we ask you to greatly bless them according to your will and word and sovereignty, show them and the world that YOU are Love You ARE the WORD and that when your church rises up to read your word and obey your word and trust you to help us walk in it that is when we will see TRUE revival poured out on our nation on our government oh God even now i see a vision of the uber rich using their money to truly help the poor, and the snippet vision i see If what truly obeying your word in spirit and truth produces is truly glorious: it is YOU, it is Christ. Come Lord with your 7 spirits to help your Church birth YOU in our hearts our minds our reality in our government our nation and in the world, Lord revival is YOU and your name is the WORD. You honor your word above your name even! Hallajuah Lord no more famine of the Word let your word come forth Let your church turn their weapons of war into the ploughshares and plant your word on GOOD ground and to feed our nation and the nations of the world, in Jesus name amen. Amen! We stand, not on what the prophets of Baal are saying (MSM), but on the Word of God that has revealed His character to us! God does not change – He is the same forever – and He will deliver us from this evil. Let us watch expectantly with praise and thanksgiving on our lips to see what He will do for America. He is a God Who has told us to boast in the fact that He is the LORD who delights to practice steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth (Jeremiah 9:23-24). Hallelujah! Our God reigns!
I, like most in our nation, didn’t grow up with wealth. But we did grow up In a time of increasing prosperity, convenience, constant temptation to do and spend and a drone of continual news and entertainment. And all in an instant, no waiting! I along with others have become accustomed to that being the norm, the standard or status quo of US society. I’m not saying there hasn’t been fear, pain,disruption, or distress because there has, but the last half of the 20th century and the first part of this century the entire culture was lulled to sleep with the “Good Life.” Drugged. Including the majority of the Church. Jesus said, “while they were sleeping in Matt.13:25-30, the enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat.” I don’t think the tares are all people. The Church, the Ekklesia, the Bride, have been waking up and it has been a rude awakening; tough to face as there are times we have equated the good life with our life in Christ.and trusted our institutions more than Him. I’m so grateful for those who have stood guard on their watch and remained faithful through all those years. I’m also so grateful to Yeshua Who patiently waited for me, for us. He has the only answers. He is THE answer. May we put our trust in Him through it all!

hope as you did Daniel. Once again, Thank You, Lord. As the Egyptians pursued the people of God having left Egypt, and they stood at the banks of the Red Sea, You rescued them by parting the waters. Help us to remember all Your great miracles, and promises while being challenged with this pandemic. You are always with us, and always successful in accomplishing Your purposes despite the evil in the world. Thank You for Kim’s article of encouragement, and for all Prayer Warriors. Lord, thank You for continuing to renew and strengthen us to serve You and others. Let Your people’s lights shine brightly for those who do not yet know Jesus as Savior. I just received a rejection email from a potential employer this morning. I’m trying to find better paying job since my current job does not pay all the bills and my wife job don’t always produce enough clients to make ends meet. I running out of time and I don’t know what to do after this month since other employers have not reached out to me.
Lord we pray for Mark that you would make a way in the desert. That you would make a straight path for him and his family. Lord the righteous will never beg for bread. Lord we pray for the right work and the right clients for Mark’s wife. Lord give great wisdom where to cast the net and lead by the Holy Spirit. Lord you will make a way where there is no way. Lord we pray that you would bind up the disappointment and grant peace that you knew that this would happen. Lord you are not taken by surprise. Lord things are really tough because of covid. Please push back this virus and the mutation and deal with the enemy seeking to destroy people’s livelihoods. Lord please supernaturally provide for your people.

Mighty God, So many times in your Word we see where you made a way when it seemed there was no way. You created a path or opened doors for your children to walk on or through. Would you do the same for Mark today? Encourage him to stay in your Word to combat disillusionment and depression. Cast down the stronghold of fear that seeks to bind his belief in miracles in his life. We praise you, Jehovah Jirah, our provider this day. In the name of Jesus Christ, your son, we pray and believe for a miracle, according to your will for Mark’s life. Amen
The reality is that we are in end times and the Lord is shaking His church. He is exposing the false prophets and those who are not discerning the times that we live in. That is why there will be discouraged Christians if they have listened to the false prophets. America had it all, the religious freedom and a Nation founded under God. Then false prophets came in and made a mockery of the Holy Spirit and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the true gifts (Toronto blessing). This then spread to the UK and the church became a mockery with mainstream media in the UK reporting on it. Many people are put off Christianity.
There will be a separation of those who are in deception and those walking in truth. Persecution is coming. There is no getting around that. The question is when?
Lord we pray that your people will wake up to the signs of the times and look to you. Father is this your timing for end time events to really start moving? Lord we cry out to you that many in the church would repent and come out of deception. We pray for those false prophets who have not stood in your Counsel who led your people into wishful thinking and complacency.
Lord we know the enemy wants the world to worship him now. We pray that you would reveal the truth about the election fraud and have mercy on America and on your people. Tear down the lies of the enemy and make a way through the confusion.
Raise up the true prophet who has stood in your counsel and has heard your words. Lord you are moving and in control. Expose the schemes of darkness and shout it from the rooftops. Let your people discern between conspiracy theories and facts based on evidence. Lord protect President Trump from anything that will bring him or the witness of Christ into disrepute. Surround him by true prophets and remove the false prophets who will confuse him. Lord speak to him, save him and guide him.
Forgive us Lord when we want a short cut and we do not stand in your counsel and wait on you.
Update: For the avoidance of doubt, the Toronto blessing is the mockery and deception and is a kundalini spirit. The enemy knows that if the church were truly walking in accordance with the word and the true Baptism of the Holy Spirit, it would be a threat, hence the counterfeit.
Further urgent update. Breaking news: There has been an earthquake in Petrinja Croatia this morning. Please pray for Croatia and for the true remnant church proclaiming the true gospel. The Lord is shaking all nations.
