Father God, we pray that the truth would come out about what went on January 6, 2021 at the Capitol.
A former D.C. National Guard official is accusing two senior Army leaders of lying to Congress and participating in a secret attempt to rewrite the history of the military’s response to the Capitol riot.
In a 36-page memo, Col. Earl Matthews, who held high-level National Security Council and Pentagon roles during the Trump administration, slams the Pentagon’s inspector general for what he calls an error-riddled report that protects a top Army official who argued against sending the National Guard to the Capitol on Jan. 6, delaying the insurrection response for hours.
From the memo: “Inspector General investigations are usually and appropriately accorded great deference because they are normally unbiased, independent, contain careful analysis of facts and circumstances, and because they make determinations as to the credibility, veracity and biases of particular witnesses, based on the preponderance of the evidence. Unfortunately, the DoDIG report on its investigation into DoD actions leading up to and during the 6 January attack was marked by few of these characteristics.”
“Every leader in the D.C. Guard wanted to respond and knew they could respond to the riot at the seat of government” before they were given clearance to do so on Jan. 6, Matthews’ memo reads. Instead, he said, D.C. guard officials “set [sic] stunned watching in the Armory” during the first hours of the attack on Congress during its certification of the 2020 election results.
Matthews’ memo levels major accusations: that Flynn and Piatt lied to Congress about their response to pleas for the D.C. Guard to quickly be deployed on Jan. 6; that the Pentagon inspector general’s November report on Army leadership’s response to the attack was “replete with factual inaccuracies”; and that the Army has created its own closely held revisionist document about the Capitol riot that’s “worthy of the best Stalinist or North Korea propagandist.” . . .
The new memo from Matthews, who now serves in the Army reserves, emerges as officials involved in the response that day try to explain their decision-making to investigators. The House select committee has probed the attack for months, and earlier this year top officials testified before the House oversight panel.
Reached for comment, Matthews said the memo he wrote is entirely accurate. “Our Army has never failed us and did not do so on January 6, 2021,” he said. “However, occasionally some of our Army leaders have failed us and they did so on January 6th. Then they lied about it and tried to cover it up. They tried to smear a good man and to erase history.” . . .
Army spokesperson Mike Brady said in a statement that the service’s “actions on January 6th have been well-documented and reported on, and Gen. Flynn and Lt. Gen. Piatt have been open, honest and thorough in their sworn testimony with Congress and DOD investigators.”
“As the Inspector General concluded, actions taken ‘were appropriate, supported by requirements, consistent with the DOD’s roles and responsibilities for DSCA, and compliant with laws, regulations, and other applicable guidance,” Brady added. “We stand by all testimony and facts provided to date, and vigorously reject any allegations to the contrary. However, with the January 6th Commission’s investigation still ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further.”. . .
The two generals told the House oversight committee that the Guard wasn’t ready to respond to the chaos that day, and Flynn testified to the House Oversight Committee in June that a “team of over 40 officers and non-commissioned officers immediately worked to recall the 154 D.C. National Guard personnel from their current missions, reorganize them, re-equip them, and begin to redeploy them to the Capitol.”
Matthews says that assertion “constituted the willful deception of Congress.”
“If it does not constitute the willful and deliberate misleading of Congress, then nothing does,” Matthews wrote of Flynn’s statement. “Flynn was referring to 154 D.C. Guardsmen who were already on duty, were trained in civil disturbance response, already had area familiarization with Washington, DC, were properly kitted and were delayed only because of inaction and inertia at the Pentagon.”
In other words, Matthews indicates, the idea that it took 40 officers to get 154 National Guard personnel ready to go to the Capitol beggars belief.
Every D.C. Guard leader was desperate to get to the Capitol to help, Matthews writes — then stunned by the delay in deployment. Responding to civil unrest in Washington is “a foundational mission, a statutory mission of the D.C. National Guard,” his memo notes. . . .
The Army Staff ultimately sought “to create an alternate history which would be the Army’s official recollection of events,” Matthews continues, adding: “The end product, a revisionist tract worthy of the best Stalinist or North Korea propagandist, was close hold,” kept secret from the public.
But members of Congress have seen the document.

God has frequently placed the National guard, military and homeland security on my heart this year. I pray for their provision, protection and support in Jesus name.

In any War,- using the correct terminology is imperative to making progress in standing down the enemy and ultimately winning the war. There’s a glaring weakness in conservative thinking and unfortunately and tragically also Christian thinking.. In an apparent attempt to appease God, – to appease the enemy and “be nice”, – -as though that were a Christian characteristic, our people continue to acquiesce to the control of the Enemy by adopting their terminology as though the enemy believes they need us to relate to them- or something ridiculous like that. This is a completely useless mindset. And in fact weakens our efforts to rid ourselves of evil,-and only buries us deeper in the mire we are trying to get out of.
Lord please let our Christian armies that is Christian civilian armies -,(not a reference to the military of the United States) let our Christian toy soldiers finally have the courage of their convictions and enough intelligence to not bury themselves in foolishness. Especially imperative is the influence it has on people that do not identify with either camp- but by default not being Christian- are stuck in the world unbeknownst to themselves. If we were going to witness to them about Jesus Christ and their salvation would we use a Mormon bible..? Would we use a Satanic Bible? I pray, Lord Jesus, that the truth would indeed be revealed about the Jan.6,2021 events that took place in Washington, D.C. Even though it was on the end of President Trump’s watch, the events of that day- the “insurrection”, if you will- were totally bogus and deliberate. It was simply a conspiracy , whose goal was to undermine President Trump’s assertion that the 2020 presidential election was deliberately fixed. What is interesting, is, that, nearly a year later, nothing has been truthfully revealed about the events of that day. As long as we have the dishonest Biden Administration in office, revealing the truth will be a challenge. THEY are the real problem in this nation, and the Ungodly Globalist Elite who control them. Lord Jesus, please, cause their efforts to control everything in this nation fail miserably. In Jesus’ name.
As the article with ” official statements” seems to continue “to reinforce” with relation to the word *attack(s)*. While narratives from multiple government agencies & many media sources (it seems) are determined to call this an attack, it wasn’t. Capital guards and police ‘allowing’ people through barriers (as captured by video) isn’t an attack, per se.
The present administration, which absolutely will NOT tell the truth, continues to be the problem for this nation when it comes to fact, honesty and truth. They committed to “the lie” and they are determined to make it stick. They understand they lose all power if the truth comes out….and it WILL “as long as Christians pray for it” and others concerned have the courage to expose it at any cost. Christians have been called to get in this battle for truth across our nation but I’m not sure many actual realize what’s at stake.
This situation was preventable. DC gov’t officials knew about it but purposely did nothing in order to achieve the present result. It wasn’t real President Trump’s fault. It was those that knew it was coming and did nothing other than work with “certain media outlets” *before it happened* to assign blame. The same people who schemed and plotted to “do nothing” as ‘planned actual riots, destruction, death, robbery and other criminal activity’ took place in cities across our nation (the entire year) under the guise of protests. So far, how many investigations are ongoing or planned for those criminal protesters/anarchists and cities? (remember that none of that carnage/criminal actions took place in any city led by truly responsible or conservative leadership – by design). Keep in mind
that government buildings, employees and innocent bystanders/owners were attacked and property permanently destroyed in many instances. Our present administration has done NOTHING of worthwhile substance to investigate and prosecute.
My hope and prayer is that the truth will spring forward and that it will be non-stop. But articles and narratives that continue to talk about Jan. 6th as an “insurrection or riot” just aren’t helpful. It’s not helpful to innocent protesters who have been put away in jail for that day while multiple hundreds of other protesters who performed criminal acts in multiple cities prior to Jan 6 still walk physically free.
I’m grateful for those trying to bring forth the truth through prayer and action. The body of Christ must get serious about continuing prayer in order for godly justice to be served. We are not to desire vengeance but truth and justice in order that many will come to the end of themselves and thirst to know God.
That there was obvious “inaction and inertia at the Pentagon” can only lead one to conclude that it was a deliberate delay to a manufactured event. That is the work of the enemy. Father in Heaven, I pray that You shine your light of truth on the evil that has permeated D.C., the halls of Congress, and the White House. Lord, this was a country founded on You, and we pray that have mercy on us and forgive us for allowing evil to push you out of our government, communities, schools, and families. Show us the way back to you oh Lord. In Jesus’s name we pray.
It’s a very troubling article. Mathews’ accusations of Piatt and Flynn are very extreme and over the top. If Matthews’ accusations are true, it would seem odd to me that Flynn and Piatt would be complicit in the “staged, pre-planned” event. I also pray that the truth would ultimately come out. In my heart I believe people (Antifa?) pretended to be Trump supporters. I would think that Piatt and Flynn would be Trump supporters. That’s why Matthews’ accusations are so disturbing. I have read that the Capitol police force is huge and should have been able to easily handle the situation. Matthew’s’ accusations seem to fall in line with the “violent insurrection” narrative. But his accusations are so extreme I would think that Piatt and Flynn will have to further defend themselves.
January 6 began to be put into motion before President Trump began speaking. A majority of the rioters were antifa and BLM and had infiltrated the Trump rally. Videos showed the few capital police moving the barricades and opening the doors to the capital. Pelosi and her demon loving comrades planned this. It is merely a distraction to their attempt to bring down America! The school shooter in Texas was allowed out on bail 1 or 2 days after terrorizing a school and shooting people. Yet people who harmed no one and walked through an open door into the capital has spent months in jail! I am so done with this entire demonic regime and their allies. FATHER GOD please show these wicked people their future if they do not receive JESUS as LORD! Please protect Americans from these lying filthy dreamers and quickly with one fell swoop remove them from office in JESUS Name! Where there is no “awe” of God, those who distort the Truth think they will not be exposed. And so we must pray for each one involved that personally each turn to Him and face the consequences so as to save their souls.
As an Intercessor for America, I continually pray that ALL deception and corruption surrounding the events of January 6th be exposed. Truly American liberty and justice are under attack from the forces of darkness. But God! Let us trust in The Lord who planted this nation and has cared for it faithfully. Greater is He that is in us America, than he that is in the world !
I think that Matthews is telling the truth and there were false accusations and still much ado about something that happened that day that Trump was not responsible for. The many people who were there that day went there to support the President that should rightly be in office. I have never seen so much corruption and wrong doing at high levels of government. God knows exactly what happened that day. It was a smear campaign to oust one of the best Presidents that we have ever had. Satan hated him and so did the main stream media, the corrupt FBI, DOJ, and corrupt high tech. He told the truth on many of them and they hated him for it. As I read this article I became overwhelmed by such an obvious truth. A lying spirit has totally overcome Washington. The origin of the virus, th effectiveness of th vaccine, is it a vaccine, th real reason fr th mandates, th voter fraud, th open borders, th Marxist agenda, th lies our children receive daily regarding their sexuality, at school and through th media, th justification of abortion, I could go on and on..
