I Prayed have prayed
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. (Rom 15:13)

Could you use some good news? A laugh? We really enjoyed this new YouTube series (click the screen below to watch) with actor/producer John Krasinski, Some Good News. In this video, Krasinski shares about some of the incredible things people are doing for each other during this quarantine. One of our favorite lines is “marriage is the most romantic thing of all,” which is the introduction to a clip of a  man singing Amazing Grace with his wife, an Alzheimer’s patient–he is outside the window of her room in a nursing home.

There are other sources of good news and encouragement on the internet that we have found and enjoy: Writer Ann Voskamp sends out one email each weekend called Multivitamins for the Soul. It is full of good news, encouragement, photographic celebrations of the glory of God’s creation, and incredible music that praises God. It is also posted on her website as a blog. Check it out at AnnVoskamp.com.

One of the best spiritual disciplines for dealing with life’s challenges is practicing gratitude. Let’s fill the comments with what we are grateful for! We at IFA will start–all our staff are healthy and free of COVID-19. We have been able to keep working. IFA intercessors keep contacting us through emails and phone calls with encouraging words. More than 100,000 prayers have been posted on the COVID-19 Prayer Wall. We encourage you to visit daily to pray for the new names posted on the prayer wall. Mostly, like you, we are grateful for Jesus, for our salvation and for our relationships with Him.

God bless you all.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. (Rom 15:13)

I’m so very grateful that all my family and friends are well and all that have jobs are working! I’m grateful for Kassidy, Cathy, Charlene, Mary, and Kim, 5 angels who are caregivers for my 3 sisters who receive home health care! I’m so grateful for God’s Word and His promise to those who make Him our secret place according to Psalms 91. We have made Him our dwelling place for some time and He has gotten us through so much, just as He is during this current situation! Thank You Father, in the Name of Jesus Christ!

I am thankful that I am able to keep working as a computer tech in the retirement village that we live close to. I work on the residents cell phones and make sure their computers are working scam free so they can stay in contact with their families and I pray with many of them. Basically the campus is closed to all visitors, but staff and vendors are screened every time we come on campus, so the residents continue to have needed services.

I’m thankful that we live in a very rural area. We can get out of doors on our property and we can still get to bike trails where we can ride our tandem bike.

And I am thankful for Zoom.us I have an account which allows us to have face to face prayer meetings in “my room” and contact with my family.

And I am very thankful for the husband God gave me 55 years ago.

I am grateful we serve an awesome faithful
God who watches over His word to perform it.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord , “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord , who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”
Psalms 91:1‭-‬16 NKJV

Loved We Can All Use Some Good News! Pass it on and on! The Joy of the Lord is our strength. In quietness and confidence in Him is our strength. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you. “I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.” Rejoice in the Lord, rejoice!

I am thankful that God is with us all including my son who had to fly back to Afghanistan as a civillian contract worker right after the virus first hit the U.S. He, along with 1500 others who flew back, are in a precautionary quarantine for over 2 weeks now. God is faithful to see him through. He has a supernatural peace about it all. So thankful for God’s goodness.
