I Prayed have prayed
Lord God, we pray that You would supply all their needs.

While there are a variety of levels of COVID-19 impact in our nation, health professionals all across the nation are doing things differently.  Not just a short-term burst of injuries in the ER, or an outbreak of rotavirus in a community, doctor’s offices, urgent care facilities, and hospitals are now the front lines in the long-term battle against COVID-19.  How can we be praying for the new normal for these health professionals?

It is all hands on deck testing, treating, and caring for those who are affected by the virus. They are working in an elevated threat of contamination, and fear and panic among patients are high.  But in addition to these elevated levels of care, health care professionals have other impacts to think about as well.

They are wondering about the impact this virus will have on their own health and the health of their families. They are planning for the home such as separation of living spaces and bathrooms and when such separation should be implemented. They are adopting new protocols for their arrival home after duty including such details as immediately taking off shoes, removing and washing clothing, and immediately showering. New protocols at the hospital and at home are a daily must. Not only are they dealing with treating the patients they have, but they are working hard to protect themselves and their families as well. Michelle from a Leesburg, Virginia hospital shares “I personally have just been praying for God to give me the strength to make it through each shift, and not to be afraid so that I can give the proper focused care to my patients.”

There is definitely increased anxiety among overworked caregivers.  Deana, a nurse from Winston-Salem, North Carolina tells us, “Pray that we don’t cause our family members to get sick. I’m more worried that I’m going to bring the virus home to my boys.”

Long work hours, additional sanitation protocols, and juggling family care while quarantined makes this time particularly stressful and overwhelming for many health care professionals. Let’s pray the following prayer points for them at this time:

  1. Pray Psalm 91 protection over them as they work–protection in their coming in and in their going out.
  2. Pray peace upon them as they navigate heightened levels of public fear, concerns of personal or co-worker infection, and an unknown end to the spread.
  3. Pray for innovation as they treat patients–give them Godly wisdom to find solutions and treatments that can help their patients.
  4. Ask God for an increase–increased patience, increased energy, increased compassion in this stressful time.
  5. Pray they would draw near to God during this time.
  6. Pray that they would see miracles and healings that can build their faith and encourage them in their care.

Share these prayer points with others, so that we may build a wall of prayer around the health professionals in our nation.  If YOU are a health professional, share below how we can be praying for you!

Thank you Lord of the Heavenly Host that when we ask you will reply and I’m asking for your angels of protection to surround all the health care workers with that bubble of supernatural protection, both Christian and those who don’t know you yet. Angels listen to the VOICE OF YOUR WORD. Psa. 103:20. I pray that not one would be lost. Your word says to be anxious for nothing but with prayers and supplications with thanksgiving make our requests known to you. The opposite of worry is faith and in Prov. 3:5&6 it says Trust in the Lord with ALL of your heart (not mind) and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your (our) paths. Spirit of fear get out of here. The enemy is a joy robber and God tells us to delight in Him. Psa. 1:2 ! God says in this world we will have trials and tribulations but He has overcome the world! Joshua 1:8 We meditate on the word of God, day and night etc. Blessings & Shalom \0/

Lord, God, I lift up all our health care professionals to you and ask that you bless them for the service and sacrifice they make to care for the amazing creation you grant is. Protect each one, be their shield and their buckler. Grant them every tool they need during this time to protect themselves and those they serve both physically and spiritually. I thank you and praise you and ask these things in the glorious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

As a retired registered nurse, I full well have a keen understanding of being in situations where creative improvisions need to me made to safely do the work you are called to do. I am praying for your health, safety and that every piece of equipment be speedily granted to you all. And I also pray for the house keeping staff as along side the health care professionals, they too share in being the first line of defense against the spread of this deadly disease.

God Almighty! how great thou art! You are the great physician! and only only you can eradicate this Corona virus Lord from the earth. We humble ourselves and repent for our sins, do not forsake us Lord. Please touch right now every single person that is battling this virus around the world and heal them and Glorify Your Name Lord God ! We also lift up before you all of the Samaritans Purse workers in Central Park NYC. We pray that the people of that city would sense and see your presence there. That hard hearted people who pass would see a cloud above those tents just the way your presence followed the Israelites in the desert. In the wholy Name of Jesus we pray.Amen!
