The Senate is heading home until June without finishing a reconciliation bill, after Republican tensions over the package coincided with President Donald Trump’s endorsement of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R-TX) against incumbent Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX).
Punchbowl News founder Jake Sherman posted on X: “BREAKING NEWS: THE SENATE will go home until June, leaving the reconciliation bill unfinished. THUNE just told senators in the room. All because of the DOJ weaponization fund. House is expected to follow suit soon.”
Brendan Pedersen, a senior reporter with Punchbowl News, posted on X: “Thune asked if Senate Rs are responding to politics — ie, Trump endorsements and snubs this week ‘It’s hard to divorce anything that happens here from what’s happening in political atmosphere around us,’ Thune said. ‘You can’t disconnect those things.’”
The political fallout from President Trump’s endorsement has exposed deeper frustrations within the Republican conference about loyalty, leadership, and the future direction of the America First movement. Vice President JD Vance defended the endorsement, arguing that voters expect elected officials to stand firmly with the agenda they were elected to advance. Frankly I have been frustrated with GOP establishment politicians who talk one way and walk another which is why I do not support the RNC, THE RNSC or any of the other RINO people. I am a conservative enrolled as a Republican just so I can vote in a primary. If I make political contributions, it’s to truly conservative men and women who don’t follow the establishment line. This rift is going to reveal the true MAGA people from those who only pay lip service.
Dear Lord Jesus, we pray for your people in office for divine wisdom and a reminder that they were voted in toward for the people, not their agenda, we pray there will be respect ,support, and unity to bring the plans to pass, based on their promises for the people who elected them in office.

Also please remove Thune from his position as it appears that he wants to play games. He should have pushed the Big Beautiful Bill through the Senate long ago, yet he appears to want to side with those against YOU and our President. FATHER GOD I am asking that YOU convert the hearts of all of our Senators and Representatives so that they will support everything that YOU support and vote against everything that YOU are against. Please send laborers to our government so that they can be converted to YOUR plan for their lives in JESUS NAME. Amen

Politics is about self-interest, power and wealth. Our system produces interchangeable pieces who pay their dues, await their turn and then, if they make the cut, get brought into the “insiders club” and start a career of pillage and theft. Sounds harsh, I know. How else would AOC who can hardly speak an intelligible sentence concerning foreign policy, ever have any influence…anywhere? And how else would McConnell who looks like a zombie and how did Lindsay Graham, who managed to keep out of the papers regarding Ukraine “investments”. , remain for years in office? Point is it doesn’t really matter which political party a politician is in. The game is the same. Congress is totally useless as a deliberative body and many republicans quietly wait for Trump to be gone. Public service is something of a joke and although the Dems are more obviously criminalistics, the RINOs, known and unknown, are biding their time. Understand that and the system makes perfect sense. Our faith is in Christ and Christ alone. The prophecies are still going to be fulfilled and they don’t favor either political party.
Father God, will you not humble the proud and the scoffer? Silence and strip away the influence of the disloyal, rebellious and arrogant. May Your hand of favor, power and anointing continue to rest upon those who seek to do your will. Those whom You have put Your counsel and wisdom in their mouth. Bless those who are fighting the good fight in faith and confidence that with You being with them, who really can stand against them. Bless Your mighty warriors with peace, love and joy. Bless them with rest and alertness. Protect them and their families from every design of wickedness and satanic assault. May Your servants purpose to live in unity. Thank you Lord. It becomes obvious that personal agendas are more important to these legislators than the wishes of the citizens of this great country. Term limits should have been in place years ago. Perhaps long-standing senators will begin to learn that they are not in Washington to fatten their bank accounts. If they do the will of the people, they will be supported. If not, they will be voted OUT! Pray that the Republican Party will come together and pass the much needed legislation. Pray that the good of the nation will be more important than senators’ personal gain. Pray that the LORD’s will be done. Pray that more Christian candidates will be willing to serve in elected office to bring our nation in line with our founders’ beliefs and God’s Word. Humble us to serve YOU, O LORD.

Lord. thank You for cleansing the House and the Senate and soon the Judicial Branch as well! We have declared the decree regarding the next generation of leaders who will sit in those seats. We have asked that they be people after Your own heart, having humility with the fear of Lord, being lead by the Holy Spirit, knowing Your Voice and a stranger they will not follow, men and woman of faith, having a sure foundation in You Mighty God, walking with the spirit of wisdom and revelation, discerners, having a genuine love for Yeshua and for our country and the American people! The rinos who are democrats who could not get elected as a democrat ran as republican and just like democrats are more concerned about staying in office than doing the job we the people expect of them. The rinos need to be replaced with patriots who will fight for we the people and laws that are in line with God’s laws. Get ready rinos I pray that God guide more godly people to run against the rinos and demoncrats. I pray for unity in the party that seems in theory to have more common sense. We are forced to side and vote with the lesser of the two evils.
