I Prayed have prayed
Reading Time: 3 minutes

Larry Tomczak, IFA Board member, recently wrote an article where he encourages those praying for the president. He spoke with Ralph Reed, former executive director of the Christian Coalition and currently president of Century Strategies, who spoke with key national leaders last month. Out of those meetings, Reed highlighted four primary areas where Christians must be faithful to pray.

1. Strength

Our elected officials and Trump Cabinet members know what to do but with nonstop attacks and media bias we must remain faithful to pray they have divine enablement to carry out the tasks no matter what the price.

An official told Ralph that when he returns home his own teenagers face such intense opposition he has to encourage them not to waver but stay on the path of righteousness. Our leaders, their spouses and their families need our prayer support in this critical area.

2. Protection

High-level officials standing for righteousness are prime targets of the enemy! A cursory review of history highlighting leaders standing on God’s side of the aisle, reminds us of the dangerous waters prominent leaders must navigate. 1 Timothy 2:1-3 directs us to pray “first of all” for them.

3. Unity

Our adversary’s strategy has always been to divide and conquer. Ralph pointed out the sniping on Capitol Hill and the constant distortion of truth that brings confusion and division.

He emphasized that we are on the verge of taking back ground for which we’ve long contended. We must remain grateful for the gains that have been made and remember God sent them into the promised land to take it “little by little” (Deut. 7:22).

4. Courage

The meltdown in our culture and the hostility of those standing against God’s unchanging standards are intense. Attempts to squelch freedom of religion and freedom of speech are evident on college campuses and in the news media weekly.

As we stand unapologetically for the sanctity of human life, the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman, biblical standards on purity and family, Israel, religious freedom and a host of unpopular issues, we must pray not only for ourselves but our elected officials to have the courage to stand against the tide, supporting traditional values.

“Courage is not the absence of fear but the overcoming of it!” May we all reconsecrate ourselves to regularly intercede for our governmental leaders to be bold no matter what comes their way!

Here’s the Deal: As Ralph Reed reminded us how Mordecai in Scripture challenged Esther to stand for righteousness, pray and act in their critical time of opportunity, so must we. “For if you remain silent at this time, protection and deliverance for the Jews will be ordained from some other place … And who knows if you may have attained royal position for such a time as this?” (Esth. 5:14).

As we engage for righteousness and the restoration of Judeo-Christian foundations, may we remember, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD” (Ps. 33:12). Kudos to men and women like Ralph Reed who are champions inspiring us along the way.

Heavenly Father, As I watch the approaching storm of hate, violence and persecution, I will not fear for You are with me. Though heaven and earth pass away, Your word will never pass away. I stand firmly and confidently on Your Eternal Word, and I call on You to honor it through the prayers of your people who cry out to You day and night, without ceasing, in season and out, trusting and waiting upon the performance of Your Word, unwavering in our obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ. Lord God, I cry out for mercy on America. Deliver her from her enemies. By Your grace, cause Your people to humble themselves, turn from their sin and seek Your Face. If it be Your will, I ask for Your mercy and grace to take away the dryness of our spirits with the outpouring of Your Spirit. Lord. America is in grave danger of descending into a civil war. Hear from heaven, Great God. Almighty, Sovereign King of Kings and Lord of Lords, hear from heaven, pour out the oil and unction of Your Spirit and begin to bind up and bring healing to the wounds being inflicted upon our beloved land. Not by might, Father, but by Your Spirit, cause Your Witnessess to overcome Satan by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. Let us see the fruit of the travail of our spiritsIn Jesus Mighty Name, for His sake I pray, Amen.

God’s Word tells us to “Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.” Ephesians 6:10. “Put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.” Ephesians 6:13. “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” Ephesians 6:18.NLT.

Let us continue the work God has given to each of us, joining together as brothers and sisters in Christ, praying continuously and fervently for those who are blinded by the god of this world.

For though we walk in the flesh we don’t war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carinal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.
2 Corinthians 10;3-4
Dear prayer and intercessors for America Leaders,
As we learned from the Bible we are the true Ambassador of Jesus Christ, therefore we have to pray for our leaders, churches and for our nation. We cannot stop the work of the enemy by our own strength and power but we can bind and destroy the work of the enemy through fasting and praying in the name of Jesus Christ.
I pray for the unity of Republican and Democratic party, I pray for the protection of Our president, vice president and the cabinet under the blood of Jesus.
Amen!!!

For the purpose of remembering to pray, I have found it helpful to make the 4 points into the acronym CUSP which stands for Courage, Unity, Strength, Protection because of the fact that we as intercessors are always at or near the cusp of great shift changes in the atmosphere spiritually, or in the destiny of those for whom we are praying! All praise to HIS great Name forever!

Almighty Lord God, Creator of the heavens and the earth and all that is in them. Father we are under attack here in America. I pray Father that Your Truth prevail. I pray for our leaders that you will guide them, grant them wisdom and discernment in doing your will. I pray that they seek you in all matters and have the courage to carry out your desires. Father I ask that you keep them and their loved ones safe from harm. I pray for all that were involved in the shooting this morning, may justice be given. Thank you Lord for all 1st Responders, Police officers, Military, Special OPS and all those who tend to the safety of the leaders of this country. Lord you have blessed us with this beautiful, prosperous country, help us to take care of her. Lord there is much hatred, anger, division, discrimination, racism, arrogance, power hungry people. Lord you know all these servants of yours and you know their needs and when they need them. Father I ask that you will cover us with your Love, Presence, Light, Peace, Strength and Courage that your will be done in and with our leaders, people of the United States of America and around the world. Thank you Lord there isn’t any problem we have that you can’t take care of. I give you thanks and praise for being “I AM” and loving us in Jesus name, amen. The peace of Christ be with us all!
I continue to pray for us all.

We need to pray the word of God into and over each situation.
“Father, We declare your word that no weapon formed against President Trump or his cabinet will prosper, and that those who rise up against them in judgement will be found to be false”.
We will faithfully intercede for our leaders and their families. the battle belongs to the Lord and you will fight for them (us).We pray that each leader will be strong in the power of your might and be courageous, anointed with strength and boldness to stand for truth and righteousness.
Thank you, Abba that you watch over your word to perform it.
In Jesus name, I pray and give you all the glory, amen

I pray every day for our President and his cabinet. I pray for courage and strength for them along with their protection against st the opposition and the crazies. I can’t believe all the marches and uprisings against our President and his decisions and the cabinets decisions for our country. All of them are courageous at this point and I hope they continue to be Courageous! God is the center of my life and our nation needs Him more now than ever. Our freedoms are under attack and we need the help of our President and his cabinet to save and direct the government to conserve what was set up for our country in the Constitution of the United States. The division of the Federal government is destroying our country. They were voted into office to government as a body not as two separate units. They have forgotten why they were elected and their purpose – to govern our nation in the best way possible for the health and well-being of our country.
