A play in New York City is being criticized for appearing to depict President Donald Trump’s assassination by women and minorities, and as a result two of its sponsors, Delta Air Lines and Bank of America, have announced they are revoking the sponsorship.
The protagonist, depicted in fluffy hair, a dark suit and tie hanging below the belt, in this year’s ‘Shakespeare in the Park’ play, put up by The Public Theater, resembles President Donald Trump.
The production, though called ‘Julius Caesar,’ also shows the lead actress with a Slavic accent.
The protagonist in the play, ‘Julius Caesar,’ is shown being stabbed to death with blood staining his white shirt.
Oskar Eustis, the play’s director, claims that the play does not endorse the assassination.
‘Julius Caesar can be read as a warning parable to those who try to fight for democracy by undemocratic means,” Eustis was quoted as saying. “To fight the tyrant does not mean imitating him.’” (Excerpted from Christian Post, reporting by Anugrah Kumar.)

For some reason, sinners think that they can portray evil on stage and screen. The actors who portray the assassination of the president may think this is just a job. But other people think it may be their job to actually harm the president. I pray that you would open up the eyes and hearts of those people who are in the play Julius Caesar. I pray for safety for the Trump family. In Jesus name. Amen
Advertisers Bank of America and Delta Airlines should be commended for withdrawing support for such blatant incitement.
It will take a resolve in the business community and much prayer to put an end to the mockeries and political assaults that have corrupted the nation.
Everyone, including those with a differing viewpoint should pause and consider the dire consequences of reliance upon distortion and succumbing to wickedness.
It is so outrageous the liberal party and media would not tolerate the same thing if it was one of their leaders being portrayed. What concerns me the most how society is taking on the hate and excepting such violence. They are being influenced for sure and desensitized . I have personally seen a change in the people I have association with. I was so disappointed and shocked even an elderly gentleman who is a retired professional person in our community started to make a commitment about the mock hanging of President Trump as if he was in agreement that such a thing was deserved and could and should happen. In such a short time I have seen division even in local community clubs. I believe people are scared and are being manipulated. Some really don’t want to know the truth to the point they prefers to believe the lies. Thankful for the information that is available. Concerned about the future of the media and reporting .
