Thank God for all the Christians who are serving in political appointment positions in our government. Pray for them to be bold and unapologetic about the basic tenets of Christian faith and for them to be faithful witnesses of Christ.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. (Rom 1:16)

Article VI of the U.S. Constitution states that “no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.” On Wednesday, Senator Bernie Sanders flirted with the boundaries of this rule during a confirmation hearing for Russell Vought, President Trump’s nominee for deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget.
Sanders took issue with a piece Vought wrote in January 2016 about a fight at the nominee’s alma mater, Wheaton College. . .
Where Sanders saw Islamophobia and intolerance, Vought believed he was stating a basic principle of his belief as an evangelical Christian: that faith in Jesus is the only pathway to salvation. And where Sanders believed he was policing bigotry in public office, others believed he was imposing a religious test. As Russell Moore, the head of the political arm of the Southern Baptist Convention, said in a statement, “Even if one were to excuse Senator Sanders for not realizing that all Christians of every age have insisted that faith in Jesus Christ is the only pathway to salvation, it is inconceivable that Senator Sanders would cite religious beliefs as disqualifying an individual for public office.” . . .
It’s one thing to take issue with bigotry. It’s another to try to exclude people from office based on their theological convictions. Sanders used the term “Islamophobia” to suggest that Vought fears Muslims for who they are. But in his writing, Vought was contesting something different: He disagrees with what Muslims believe, and does not think their faith is satisfactory for salvation. Right or wrong, this is a conviction held by millions of Americans—and many Muslims might say the same thing about Christianity.
This is the danger of relying on religion as a threshold test for public service, the kind of test America’s founders were guarding against when they drafted Article VI. Sanders and the rest of his liberals are just pawns in the hand of Satan who is using them to accomplish his evil purposes. He is very angry that his plans for American had been disrupted when President Trump won the election, and he is the one working through these liberals and influencing them to behave the way they do. This is a spiritual battle and the Christians need to fight, using the weapons given to us by our Commander-in-Chief, Jesus Christ, which are: prayer, the Word of God, the blood of Jesus, the name of Jesus, etc. By so doing, we are allowing the greatest warrior of all times to fight for us and victory is guaranteed. So let us take our concerns to Him in prayer, praying without ceasing, and He will silence our enemies and put them to shame.
God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble. So we will not be afraid, even if the earth is shaken and the mountain fall into the center of the sea, and even if its waters go wild, with storm and the mountains shake with its action .The name of the Lord is a strong tower. The man who does what is right runs into it and is safe. The angel of the Lord stays close around those who fear Him, and He takes them out of trouble. The Lord will keep you from all that is sinful. He will watch over your soul. The Lord will watch over your coming and going.Teach. me your ways, O Lord. Lead me in a straight path, because of those who fight against me. Those who respect Your Word will not be put to shame.All your sons will be taught by the Lord, and the wellbeing of your children will be great. But He lifts those in need out of their troubles. He makes their families grow like flocks. Your wife will be like a vine with much fruit within your house, Your children will be like olive plants around your table.The Holy Writings say, “See! I put in Jerusalem a Stone that people will trip over. It is a Rock that will make them fall.But the person who puts his trusts in the Rock (Christ) will not be put to shame.” In Jesus name!
Heavenly Father, give us your perspective on these national issues. Holy Spirit, have your way with us that we would pray and intercede as you would have us do. Help us to be the salt and light that this nation so needs to see, forgive us for having our sights more on the temporal than on the eternal.
We thank you for our President, and we continue to ask that you make all the crooked roads straight before him, that you would continue to bless the works of his hands. We ask that Vought would be confirmed.

Heavenly father and Lord Jesus, too many people have been deceived by Satan. They act on what they believe, which is a lie. I truly believe, as does Russell Vought, nominee for deputy director for OMB, that Jesus Christ alone offers to salvation for paternity. I pray that the eyes of Bernie Sanders will be opened to truth, Your Truth, and that Russell Vought is confirmed for Deputy Director of OMB. I thank You for this opportunity to pray. In Jesus name. “Senator Bernie Sanders “flirted with the boundaries” of this rule during a confirmation hearing for Russell Vought, Bernie Sanders did not FLIRT with the boundaries of this rule, he outright violated it. Senator Langford said that Sanders came “dangerously close” to the boundary. Anyone who saw that questioning knows Sanders outright violated the rule and the republicans should have made that clear and took appropriate action. The democrats sure would have if a republican had done this.
Stand with God. He has said of Himself that He is God Almighty and asks is there anything to hard for Him to do? I answer Him, there is nothing too difficult for You to do, Father, You are sovereign over all that You have created.
A phobia is an irrational fear, one which is not based on facts. In the case of islam, there is nothing irrational about fearing it as it is a satanic inspired cult bent on enslaving the world, or murdering those who refuse to submit. What concerns me more is that many in government, media, and yes the churches all want us to believe that islam is 1) a “religion” which it is not, and 2) that its adherents are peaceful, which many, if not most are not. Until we can have an honest discussion about the facts concerning islam, all western countries will be in danger as the entire history of islam proves.
By their fruit shall they be known. Based on history, the fruit of islam is death. I pray America wakes up to this fact before it is too late.
This is a new day in America, and Christians must continue to be steadfast and unapologetic of our faith, even in the face of evil and ungodliness represented by senator Bernie sander and his fellow liberals. Part of the plans of these enemies of Christ was to alienate people from God by demonizing Christians as intolerant people. If homosexual and transgender people are demonstrating daily and moslems are building huge mosques, whey should we be prevented from expressing ourselves?

I pray that all ears and eyes will hear and see Gods words. We Christians are the example of a higher standard. Not judging but loving as we continually pray to openly worship God. This country was great when we were one nation under God united with justice for all
