What are the most prevalent evil spirits operating in America today? And, if we can identify them, how can we pray against them? In this article, I’d like to offer some simple prayer directives for how to pray against 5 specific evil spirits that are inflicting themselves upon America.

However, FIRST, may I remind you that God the Holy Spirit is the #1 strongest and most powerful Spirit operating in America today?
I know it can be so discouraging when we see evil look like it’s winning in sphere after sphere every day. However, God’s Word is still true! Psalm 37:1-2 still says:
Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb (Psalm 37:1-2 NKJV).
So, beloved, we have to cry out: “Let God be true and every man a liar!” And we must remember that our God is not just “one” among many spirits of equal strength. No; He is the One True God, who alone is wise. He is God Most High, and He sits above the circle of the earth and laughs at His enemies! Satan is only a created being, with limited strength; but our GOD has all power in Heaven and earth.
Therefore, as we pray against the many evil spirits that inflict pain upon Americans today, let us not forget that all spirits are not equal! God the Holy Spirit is greater than all the devil and all his demons put together. There’s not even any contest. So sit in your seat of authority as you pray, wielding the name of Jesus with every confidence in the world!
That said, let’s look at 5 of the most prevalent wicked spirits that we see in America today:
- The spirit of Jezebel.
Contrary to some opinions, the spirit of Jezebel is not manifested as a woman wearing a red dress. The operation of Jezebel is not limited to women at all; it impacts both women and men equally. Jezebel is a spirit who works to counteract the work of God the Holy Spirit.
Jezebel is a seducer. It brings people into its grasp using one, seemingly-shallow method; but then it pulls them deeper into evil over time.
Its modus operandi is to first seduce people with false prophecy; then it leads them into rebellion against God, His Word, and His wisdom. Then, it pulls them into sexual sin. Afterward, it leads them to its ultimate objective—which is the occult and actual worship of Satan.
How can you pray against Jezebel? The #1 key I have found—something I have found to work 100% of the time—is found in Revelation 19:10:
And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy (Revelation 19:10 NKJV).
Since Jezebel purports itself to be a spirit of prophecy, forth-telling the will of false gods, releasing the TRUE Spirit of Prophecy by proclaiming the testimony of Jesus beats it every time. Releasing the testimony of Jesus cuts off Jezebel at the root and muzzles its voice. Try it and see! Magnify and lift up the name of Jesus in every way you can think of:
- In worship;
- In intercessory prayer;
- In song;
- Through artwork and dance;
- In declaration and proclamation; and
- Through testifying about Christ and what He has done for you!
Remember Revelation 12:11a: “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony”! Raise that testimony of Jesus and watch the enemy fall down and flee!
- The spirit of Leviathan.
Leviathan is an evil spirit that twists, accuses, and manipulates. We see stark descriptions of what it does in Job chapter 41. When someone is letting the Leviathan spirit operate through them, you will see that individual doing the following:
- Taking things out of context;
- Manipulating people and situations for others’ detriment and their own benefit;
- Accusing people of thoughts they never thought, things they never did, and words they never said; and
- Conjuring up false accusations with no basis in reality.
If you think about the accusations that have been leveled against various American patriots in recent years, notice how many things have been twisted and invented against them. That is not a human doing; it is the work of the evil Leviathan spirit.
How do you pray against Leviathan?
Ask Jesus to fill people with His Spirit of Truth. As it says in John 16:13a: “when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth ….” The Spirit of Truth counteracts the evil workings of Leviathan.
Also, pray for people to have godly boundaries. When Leviathan is operating at the individual level, it tries to destroy its victim’s life. Pray that people will rise up with godly boundaries and say NO to abuse and evil victimization, even if they have to cut off the relationships that were hurting them.
- The spirit of fear
Think about how much fearmongering we have seen in the USA in the last few years. Even before the COVID pandemic, fearmongering was an issue. Whether it came from the government or from the media, we were always being told that we should fear something or another (economic collapse, government shutdown, climate change, the list goes on).
Fear is a spirit, not merely an emotion. Remember 2 Timothy 1:7: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (NKJV). Fear is a spirit, and it is cast out ONLY by God’s perfect love:
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love (1 John 4:18 NKJV).
But fear has not been cast out in America because Americans have not been made perfect in love. And why haven’t we been made perfect in love? Because we have allowed fatherlessness to become prevalent in our culture.
What does fatherlessness have to do with anything, you ask?
Great question! Fear, at its root, is always a father issue because it is the FATHER’S job to impart God’s perfect love into a child. Just as it is Father God’s role to love us fully, so He has given human, earthly fathers the role of teaching their children that they are beloved.
Think of 1 John 3:1:
Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! (1 John 3:1 NKJV).
But America has become, in large part, a fatherless culture.
“Toxic masculinity” may be the new liberal buzzword for anything that is not effeminate and weak, but our nation needs real, godly, manly men. American prisons and schools and church-houses alike are filled with people who never had a dad to impart love, along with a sense of loving security and belonging, into their heart and home.
Every person needs a godly, loving DAD on this earth. And people whose dads did not do their job do not have that sense that their very identity is “beloved.” They might even “know,” in their head, that God loves them—but they do not feel loved. They have not internalized God’s perfect love for them. And therefore, they do not live from a place, from a mindset, or from an identity of being loved perfectly. So, they are tormented by fear.
How can you pray against the spirit of fear?
- Pray for a baptism of God’s perfect love.
- Pray that every person in America would receive and be transformed by the perfect love of Father God.
- Also, pray that there would be an outpouring of forgiveness, and of healing from father wounds.
Why are forgiveness and healing from father wounds related? Because forgiveness is what heals father wounds.
Here’s how it works:
God’s perfect love is the only love that can cast out fear. But, people can only internalize that perfect love when they heal from those father wounds.
Why? Because people’s bad experiences teach them the false paradigm that “fathers” and “fathering” are bad and will hurt them. When these father wounds go unhealed, that paradigm cannot be cast down … and we tend to keep Father God at arm’s length.
We need an outpouring of true forgiveness, which is the only way to heal from father wounds. And when people get healed from their father wounds, their hearts suddenly open to receive and internalize the perfect love of Father God. THEN, and only then, can God’s perfect love cast out fear.
(Note: People often think that you cure fear with faith. However, this is incorrect. You cure evil things with the opposite, holy thing. Faith is the opposite of doubt and unbelief. But love is the opposite of fear. Faith cures doubt and unbelief, but only love casts out fear.)
- The spirit of delusion
Nowhere in American history have we seen delusion embraced and popularized as we are seeing it today. It seems like, nearly every day, people are coming up with some new concept that goes against science, biology, reality, and common sense—but they embrace it as truth, receive it as truth, proclaim it as truth, and persecute those who remain stalwart in their refusal that it is truth.
This is a spirit of delusion. As it says in 1 Timothy 4:1: “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons …”
If there was ever a time when we are seeing “deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons” at work in America, it is today. How can we pray against it?
Pray against the spirit of delusion by asking God to counteract it with His wisdom from above. Pray for an outpouring of wisdom.
The Lord tells us in Proverbs 4:7 that wisdom is the #1 thing we need:
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding (Proverbs 4:7 NKJV).

In America today, culture seems to have lost both wisdom AND understanding. Let’s pray IN the Holy Spirit of wisdom, and with Him His understanding. By doing so, we will be praying the spirit of delusion OUT of our nation.
- A spirit of entitlement
We could list dozens, if not hundreds, of foul spirits that are operating in America today—and we would probably be right on all of them. There’s no scientific way to rank them. However, as I was praying over this article, I felt strongly led of the Lord to include the spirit of entitlement as one of the top spiritual threats operating in America today.
Romans 1:20-23 says this:
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things (Romans 1:20-23 NKJV).
I am struck today by the importance of the phrase “they did not glorify Him as God, nor were they thankful ….”
Friend, we have more to be thankful for than any other nation on the earth. We are more blessed, more prosperous, and possibly even more advanced than any other nation. The American dream—with its 2.5 children, 1.5 houses, and white picket fence—is possible for all, with the right amount of work, patience, and dedication.
Nevertheless, dishonor runs rampant. We have forgotten the red beaches of Normandy, where 29,000 men were killed and 106,000 were wounded or went missing on D-Day alone, all so the world could be free. We have forgotten the last sentence of the Declaration of Independence, which states:
“with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor” …
And we forget that this Declaration did in fact cost our Founding Fathers their lives, fortunes, families, businesses, and many other things that they held dear.
We have also forgotten the blood of our precious Savior, who poured out His life on Calvary’s tree.
We forget that the only thing we are “entitled to” is an eternal torment in hell. We have lost the Spirit of the fear of the Lord which, in times past, reminded us that our very breath is bestowed by the word of Christ—and that by Him, for Him, and to Him all things exist and consist.
We have forgotten to honor our God, and we have forgotten the principles and people who built this country.
Yet, we owe God our very lives—and we owe our prosperous state of existence both to God and those who have gone before us. But we have forgotten to be grateful, choosing instead to be selfish and entitled and to worship the gods of self, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.
Entitlement and pride work together, and both are prevalent in America today. How can we pray against these things?
Pray against entitlement as follows:
- Pray that truth would come out in education; that people would educate themselves about the truth of God’s HIS-story and America’ history.
- Pray for an outpouring of gratitude, honor, and respect.
- Pray for a nationwide outpouring of the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord.
- Pray for an outpouring of HUMILITY.
Beloved, we owe everything to our King Jesus. He and He alone sits sovereign over America; the earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof (Psalm 24:1). But we can pray in accordance with His will and His Word against every evil spirit. And as we persist in prayer, not fainting even if we grow weary, we will see God move—and the power of His Spirit manifest.

I believe that these spirits are also operating in other parts of the world. What the enemy meant for evil, God will turn it for good.
When we are called to put on the full armor of God found in Ephesians 6, there’s purpose behind the order in which it’s listed. Everything starts with the belt of truth (v.14). Without Truth, little else matters. Without Truth, Jezebel seduces, deception confuses, leviathan overpowers, fear rules and believers lose. Either Truth is knowable or there is hopelessness. If “my truth” differs from yours, there is no such thing as truth at all.
Heavenly Father, your Word is Truth. Lord Jesus, You are the Word of God, the only truth we accept. I ask that today, Your followers hear Your Word clearly so that we may be delivered from evil. In Jesus’ name and to His glory!

“Jezebel” is not an evil spirit. She WAS a person on this Earth with a soul. When she died her spirit didn’t come back to haunt us. Jezebel was in agreement with evil spirits and was operating in them. Demons are entities that operate in the spirit realm. We can label them and identify them by how we are being effective. For instance: a spirit of fear or a spirit of control. To effectively pray against these evil spirits we must first identify them and discern them
correctly.
Abba, thank you for your faithfulness to all generations, including ours. Send forth your word and heal our land. We bind the spirit of Jezebel operating in our government and all other areas of influence in our country and in the nations. Send the Elijah, the Jehu, ,and the Eunich spirits and the dogs of heaven to make this spirit unrecognizable.
Hook out Leviathan by the nostrils. Bind him up so he can not thrash on his way out. Pierce him under his amour and give him a deadly blow, cut him up in a gazillion pieces, and toss him to wilderness regions to be eaten by the jackals — or back to the pit where he belongs.
Send forth your perfect love to every one of your children to cast out fear. Bind up our wounds and may we know how wide and long, how high and deep your love is for us. Loose the spirit of adoption on those who do not know you whereby they may cry out, Abba, Father!
Send forth your truth, you who rides the white horse and whose name is Faithful and True! Pierce the darkness and blow the dark cloud of delusion away. Open up the heavens, we want to see you! Open up the eyes of our and our nation’s understanding and the eyes of all who have fallen under the spirit of delusion. Where there is no vision, the people perish. Open our eyes that we may see
glimpses of truth thou hast for me.
Place in my hands the wonderful key that shall unclasp and set me free! Silently now we wait for thee,
ready, my God, thy will to see.
Open my eyes, illumine me,
Spirit divine!
Bind the spirit of entitlement, LORD, mighty in battle. May its way be slippery and dark and may the angels of the LORD chase it and destroy it. Loose the spirit of godliness with contentment for that is great gain. We repent for ourselves and for our country for not being content with food and clothing. We repent for looking to and lusting after the things of this world — may they grow strangely dim in the light of your glory and grace.
Send your spirit like a mighty rushing wind to revive us and to revive our country. Redeem us from the destruction that has and is taking place. We want to hear the rattling of dry bones. We want to see a mighty army of prodigals, LGBTQ, millennials, gen Z, and all other generations to know you. We want to get to the other side of this and rejoice over the enemy of our souls and his henchmen drowning in the Red Sea. We take out our tambourines and worship you! Deliver us from evil. May your kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven — in Jesus name, Amen.

We have foxhole Christianity in America today, so badly the red beaches are forgotten. Our only way is repentance and fighting on our knees.
Contemporary evangelicals are all like the above which describes the church today. Will I find faith?
I am a high school teacher in a charter school in northern California. I am so glad you published this article! I have known about “Jezebel”, “Fear” and “Entitlement” and have recently experienced “Delusion” and “Leviathan”. Most of all, I appreciate your direction on how to pray God’s provision in place of these debilitating and oppressive spirits. I am also a Children’s Ministry Director and am emboldened to persist and update my “Prayer/Action Plan” for intercessory prayer. I believe that as we pray for those under our care by name, using scripture, we invite the Spirit of Christ and His love and awaken to our role as intercessory prayer warriors. “He is before all things, and in Him all things are held together.” Colossians 1:17
I am encouraged to read of a high school teacher that prays by name for those in his care. Praise to our God, who has given us His Spirit, and intercedes through us. What a blessing to join together in His name.
In this current demonic culture, the most effective prayer is by all means is the Lord’s Prayer. Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread (Your Word), and forgive (repentance) us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil (fear). For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory FOREVER. Amen!

Father in Jesus name . I thank You for the powerful, Precious Blood of Jesus. I thank You Father that Jesus desroyed every evil principality and power. Make an open defeat for them. Trumph over them in the cross. Father Speak the glorious mighty name of Jesus over our nation. I decree the Blood of Jesus speak against every evil demonic spirit in the name of Jesus. His Blood speaks against and has overcome the spirit of jezebel, the spirit of levitian and and spirit of disiluion, the spirit of entitlement and the spirit of fear. I declare that these spirits has been overthrown and dethroned and demolished over our nation by the Blood of Jesus, in Jesus name. I usually spend one hour in prayer before going to work. I pray with an occasional pastor or brother in the Lord…and quite often I pray alone, because my brothers cannot get out of bed in the morning. I am far from perfect, but one of the issues that disappoints me daily, is that almost NO ONE comes on time to the prayer meeting, if at all. I spent some years in the military, and one of the disciplines that was impressed on me is summarized as follows: “If you’re not 10 minutes early for something, you’re late!” I know that what I am saying does not answer the question that you asked, but if you’re going to pray….be there on time.
Added to this is a prayer that I have asked of the Lord for years, is for “Brushfires of the Holy Spirit” all over our land. (Two guys in a pickup truck in the early morning….some gals getting together over coffee….families praying together in the morning to start their day…. however and whoever…..I pray also that as these “brushfires” for which I pray begin to burn, they will also spread….and join other “brushfires” creating a network and a symphony of prayer going heavenward to our Heavenly Father. creating a longing in the hearts of people all over America that will draw them to Yeshua and draw them away from the world and its charms. I have prayed often against the Spirit of Jezebel, and Leviathan, as well as Pride, Self-righteousness, Fear, Delusion / Deception, but never for “Entitlement” ( maybe related to Greed). Your article has me wanting to get back to naming these particular spirits again as I pray. Thanks for that.
For me, a verse that we all know, that of 2 Chr 7:14—IF my people, who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from our wicked ways….THEN…THEN I will hear from Heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. The proverbial ball is in our court. We have the assigned duty of grasping with humility, praying, and seeking God’s face, and absolutely turning from any wicked way in our lives. If we, as Christians will do this….His promise is to forgive us and heal our land. It’s an IF—-> THEN situation with which to deal. The IF is up to us….the THEN will be seeing His promise.

Spot on! Those Christians in the media need to know this information & let it be known to their listeners. People with large audiences and small audiences need in the name of the Holy Spirit to perpetuate this information. It is vital, that this information be told to the masses before it is too late. Our country is on a very slippery slope now & the EVIL in our country’s institutions must be challenged by prayer in the name of Jesus!
As I read your article I was led by The Holy Spirit to pray for each point. I prayed in the Spirit and rose my voice to God in Jesus’ name. In Jesus’ name, I rebuked those evil spirits of Jezebel, Leviathan, fear, delusion, and entitlement. They are evil and literally, I see them influencing the government which is supposed to guide us! I felt and saw the Power from Above move and knock demons around. Those spirits are but fallen angels and thus created and weak against the Might of pour God Almighty! And I have an assurance that He will move on our behalf of millions praying – prayers are answered! Amen!

I’m Praying against these evil spirits and lifting up the Mighty Name of Jesus of Nazareth!
I plead the Blood of Jesus over myself, my family, my habitation, my government leaders, and all situations and circumstances concerning them. Also over the body of Christ. And I war in the Spirit in the name of Jesus against any and everything that exalts itself against the knowlege of God. I take my place in Jesus right next to Father God every morning and rule and reign with Jesus because this is what He says for us to do in Romans 5:17. I’m convinced that Jamie is right on. Would also suggest the reading “The Return Of The Gods” by Jonathan Cahn who is a Jewish believer, he names specific gods, he does not use capital letters for these. He does not say it so far but I recognize them as satanic powers that deceived people when they turned away from GOD and his laws which are mean’t for our benefit. We should include in our prayers, prayers against these specific spirits, “gods” that are misleading people who do not know or have turned away from GOD the Father. I am reading Jonathan Cahn’s book and have read some of Rick Pearsons writings AND I read my Bible as well as pray. I am convinced that we are seeing Bible prophecy being fulfilled in front of us. God knows what He is doing so we must have been born for a time such as this. Let us make war on all of the wicked entities in prayer, standing against those who pursue and advocate all evil in love that they may have their eyes opened to come to Jesus. Never the less stand we must, let our lives reflect the righteousness, mercy, justice and love of God through His Son Christ Jesus. amen.
A final comment – I truly believe that scripture is clear that as go His people so goes the nation they live in. If these spirits were not operating in the church – the ecclesia – then we the church would have authority to cast them out of our nation. But first we need to repent and turn and be healed from all of our wounds and come out of agreement with these things within the body of Christ.
What a timely article. We need to pray for all the things mentioned above. Then we must take action. Become involved in our public schools and in our local politics and government. We can’t pray and do nothing. And above all else VOTE!!!!!! Can you imagine if the disciples just prayed and went about their daily lives fishing etc,? I would have put Baal, Molech and Ishtar. Baal came in the 60s when bible and prayer removed from schools, Ishtar came in 1969 in NYC during riot of police raiding a bar that was prostituting children and Molech came in when we did nothing about abortion.
My exact thoughts as I read the article. However, our intercession re the above when we asked the Lord what to do re Baal, Molech and zushtar He said, “Watch and wait!” I believe this lines up with Kent Christmas’ most recent prophecy.
The evil spirits and uncrucified flesh of Romans 1:
The Unjust Spirit in the churches identified by Paul in Romans 1:16-17, ashamed
of the Gospel and foments and promotes constant doubt.
The Truth Suppression Spirit of Romans 1:18-19 that panders to the tares and goats in the churches who have “itching ears” and those who live with one foot in the world and one foot in church organizations. These are those who say, “I believe in Jesus. He is my savior of preference.”
The multi-faceted spirits in Romans 1:20-32 that are constantly tempting Believers who are not fully covered with God’s armor and are ill-equiped in the Sword of the Holy Spirit, with sins that so easily beset them.
Solid and mature Believers who are gifted with discernmnt are needed to help those who too often do not recognize the difference between spiritual warefare and situations where the world, carnal nature and the flesh are involved. And, many times, when great evil powers are present, prayer and fasting are not just needed but required to correctly discern and attack. Many have made the mistake of trying to cast out flesh which has caused great confusion and anguish.
For quite some time now, Yehovah has completed me to bind evil forces, loosing the people from their grip, casting them out, and then asking Him to fill the newly vacated space with Father God Love so that the people can have a clearing of the mind and be able then to see their need for Jesus to come in and take control.
This article helps me know I am on the right track in prayer.
Far too many people in the world, not just America, don’t know The Father’s Love because they never knew a father’s healthy love in their lives.

For the past 7 yrs I focused my attention on the principalities, rulers, authorities, the cosmic forces of evil in the heavenly places. Their evil power influences our nation to a high degree, My logical efforts were then focused on binding, neutralizing, destroying, rendering them powerless, etc. , through what I thought was appropriate spiritual warfare through prayer. To be honest the results of that 7 yr effort were dismal. I discerned the enemy taking more ground not less. To add insult to injury, I felt like I became a target personally. I believed my faith was strong but this attack came against me physically and mentally. The physical pain in my body and the torment in my mind truly broke me and got me to a place of complete surrender to God. I decided to put my understanding concerning spiritual warfare aside, and seek what the Word teaches. I was surprised with what I read and also with what I could not find.
Since Job 41 was quoted, lets start there.
In verses 1-8
“Can you draw out Leviathan with a fishhook or press down his tongue with a cord?Can you put a rope in his nose or pierce his jaw with a hook?Will he make many pleas to you? Will he speak to you soft words?Will he make a covenant with you to take him for your servant forever?Will you play with him as with a bird, or will you put him on a leash for your girls?Will traders bargain over him? Will they divide him up among the merchants?Can you fill his skin with harpoons or his head with fishing spears?Lay your hands on him; remember the battle—you will not do it again!
Is not God mocking Job for even thinking about battling leviathan? God is saying anything but to engage Him.
Where did the these evil forces (principalities etc) come from? In Col 1:15-17
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
They were created by Him and for Him, initially not as evil forces. They rebelled and betrayed God after He had given them authority over the nations.
After Christ rose from the dead He was given authority over them. Mt 28:18
In Col 2:15, He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame by triumphing over them in him
But in HEB 2:7-8
Now putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control, YET WE DO NOT YET SEE EVERYTHING IN SUBJECTION TO HIM.
The last part of the verse is important.
God is allowing these forces of darkness to function. We as a nation have removed God from our midst and allowed evil to gain a stronghold. We do not yet see these forces of evil in subjection to Him.
So what are we to do about it? Fight them?
In Eph 3:9-11,
and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things,so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord,
We cannot fight against them, if we are to demonstrate the manifold wisdom of God to them.
Jesus will destroy them when he returns, 1Cor 15:24.
With this understanding the meaning of Eph 6:10-19 becomes clear.
We take up the whole armor of God so we may be able to withstand in the evil day. Stand therefore ……… and use the shield of faith which can extinguish the flaming darts of the enemy. We cannot stop the enemy from shooting the flaming darts.
We do not fight to destroy them, we put on the full armor of God to resist them. God will destroy them when Christ returns.
Where is the battle?
In 2 Cor 10:3-5,
For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,
Where do we take thoughts captive? It is in our minds. This is where the battle is. This is where the strongholds are. We can only put on the full armor of God to stand against the enemy and destroy the strongholds in our minds through the power of the Holy Spirit. The battle is not “out there”. If we can bind those principalities, how long are they bound for, a day, a week? Certainly not forever because Jesus is coming back and will destroy them for good. Our nation can change one person at a time, entering into the Kingdom of God, where they will be able to pull down the strongholds in their minds and begin to live for Christ. Once they put on the full armor of God, they are then able to free themselves from the influence of the evil forces. It is our responsibility to present the Kingdom to them and then pray for them to grow in the Lord.
We should also pray for those people who rule over us in our government, so we may live peaceful lives according to scripture. We can pray for those people but put our hope in Gods eternal.promises. Our hope should not be in any thing of this world.
In 1 Cor 15:19, If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied. Paul is talking to Christians, we who are in Christ. We can have the peace of God even in times like this. But only if our hope is in eternal things.
What you say has a lot of Truth in it, but, Jesus came not just to die for our sins but to live showing us how to live, then He gave us authority to do what He did. He cast demons out and cautioned the people to sin no more so that the demons would not come back bringing more with them.
He taught us to pray “Thy Kingdom come on earth as in heaven”.
Demons have boundaries in heaven, they should have boundaries here too. We can’t JUST wear our armor and do nothing.
If Jesus cast out demons while He was in the world in the fleshy body, He is still casting out demons through the bodies that have asked Him to come in and live His life in us.
It’s His power, His might, His battle, we are just the instrument He now uses to help The Father’s Will be accomplished. Everything God created was by spoken words and we are created in His image. What we SPEAK matters. It is our mouths Triune uses to fight the spiritual battles.
So, shouldn’t we be speaking binding and loosing prayers on earth as in heaven?
We don’t have conversations with the evil realm, we simply command them be bound and the people be loosed from their control.
We who have the spiritual understanding have to use our shield of faith to protect those we love from the fiery darts until they get to the point of understanding for themselves and becoming able to take up their own shield of faith.
Demons, yes, because they are on the earth. Principalities, rulers, and authorities are in the heavenly places. There is a difference. The demons are disembodied spirits looking for hosts to harass. We do have authority over them. We cannot fight against the principalities and also demonstrate the manifold wisdom of God to them. They are actually being used by God to bring His ultimate purposes to His creation. You will not find one scripture in the New Testament where any believer engaged these types of spirtual beings. I looked. I engaged them for 7 years. How long do you bind them for? Why are they still harassing our nation if they have been bound? Is there a time frame how long they are put into spiritual jail? Once bound, do you have to continually bind them? If we can bind them, then why does Jesus have to destroy them when He returns? This theology is not scriptural. God created them initially as the heavenly host, His council. They betrayed God, but they still have authority over the nations. They know their time is limited. They hate our faith because they know it is our faith being demonstrated to them that brings their demise. That will happen at the end, not before. They can only prolong their existence by using their tactics to try and wear us out. But if we put on the full armor their darts have no penetration. We wrestle them but it is not a wrestling match. We dont win the match here on earth. We simply stand as it says in Eph 6. We do not engage them, but stand against them. Remember the battle belongs to the Lord.
America is collapsing because God was removed and left a void and the principalities moved right in to fill it. We can petition God to deliver us from evil, intercede by confessing the sins of our nation, pray for our leaders so we may live peaceful lives, and most important spread the good news of the Kingdom of God to allow people to believe and for them to receive the power to renew their own minds and come into relationship with God. The Kingdom of God grows one person at a time. These are all appropriate.
These spiritual beings are called authorities, rulers, and dominions for a reason. They have been around for thousands of years and know how to decieve people and brings chaos. That is what they do. God is looking for a people who will serve Him, love Him, die for Him. He will use these forces of evil for His glory. Trust Him.
Read Ephesians 6:10-18. It tells us exactly what to do to defeat all the wicked ones! Saints, pray in faith, believing and watch GOD move on our behalf! America is not collapsing because there are too many of us here praying day and night! GOD delivered the Israelites from Egypt, and HE will deliver us who cry out to HIM day and night in JESUS NAME!

Jesus won the battle at Calvary.
The devil is a defeated foe.
My place to sit at His feet, read HIS Word, and listen for HIS instructions, and follow HIS directions, and stay close to His side, so that I do not give any room to the devil.
Michael makes a key point. Demons and principalities are different. I suspect that demons were the spirits of the Nephalim released after their hosts died in the flood. They could not go to the place of the human dead, being half angelic. They could not be bound as some angels are, being half human and they never could have authority over nations or people groups. So they roam the earth, seeking to get back into flesh to act out their hatred of God and mankind. We can oppose any demon that enters our God-appointed territory of influence. And we can ask our Lord to counteract any acts of principalities that try to exert influence where we are given that same responsibility. But we will not overcome principalities. God will, eventually for all eternity. Paul’s treatise on the Armor of God describes mainly defensive protection except for the sword which is for short-range physical engagement.

That’s right…the Michael…sovereignty of God can get lost on His people. Yes we have the Holy Spirit, but many believers think that gives them the authority to rampage through the spirit realm, taking on fallen angels and bossing His angels around, thinking their own thoughts are those of God. Jude’s warning should be taken to heart by all of us… even the mighty Michael did not dare confront the devil directly. There is a spiritual chain-of- command still in effect and the human spirit is well down on the list. Any authority in which we operate comes directly from God and it is not all- inclusive. Discernment and knowledge of the Word are both vital. To know when and how to engage the enemy. Without it we succumb to pride, the sin from which all others flow. None of us should be dogmatic in our views in this area…we need to remain humble and know when He…our Lord and God…is sending us into battle.
Donald, you are spot on, rightly discerning the Word of God. I am amazed at your insight. When we believe we have the power to defeat these cosmic forces of darkness in the heavenly places, yes pride comes in as does fear when we pray and battle and continue to see things descend into chaos. This fear and pride causes our shield of faith to drop and opens us up to the fiery darts of the enemy! This is a vicious circle the enemy uses as a trap. Discouragement and despair set in. I call it “Christian hangwringing”. It is a miserable place to be. I thank God and see His mercy in removing the blinders from my eyes. The Word of God is Truth. It’s all in there. He is so amazing to even use the suffering caused by misunderstanding of the Word to bring us closer to Him and open our eyes and hearts. He’s truly drawing His vessels of mercy, His Ekklesia, closer to Him and preparing us for the return of His Son and join forever with Him. Praise His Holy Name!
Yes…God has a plan ordained from eternity past and we pray and study the Word to have it revealed to us and to know our place in it, and to live our lives in accordance with His will for us in His overall plan. We should not be praying for our wills, especially not for a free pass through this satanic world. This is not very popular now, just as it was not during the times of the Old Testament prophets. Our comfort rates very low on God’s list of priorities. Job suffered tremendously and was not told why. It likely had to do with God showing satan that He ,God, had worshippers who would serve Him regardless of what that required of them, and thus pointing out satan’s eventual doom because God’s righteousness would be recognized through His creation. That eventually some would recognize the pure goodness of Christ no matter what the cost. I agree that God is trying to mature His Body to “not love their lives unto death”. Unfortunately for many, this includes thinning the herd. We cannot be, to quote a secular song, believers who “hear what they want to hear and disregard the rest.” I firmly believe the martyrs will hold the highest spots in eternity. I personally feel that we may enter a time of Josiah’s reforms which were only temporary due to the sins of Manasseh.

You may have found, Michael that many sincere believers take spiritual matters way too lightly, assuming knowledge and power they do not have. Prophecy so-called has become something of a cottage industry, causing confusion in the Body. This is not a small matter…in fact it is something the Lord comes against strongly in both the Old and New Testaments. Angels of light find willing receptors in itching ears. If we truly are in the last days, as it seems we are, then the Biblical prophecies will go forward as written. Any spiritual warfare that we engage in had better line up with His will, not always so easy to discern. We don’t want to be fools, rushing in “where angels fear to tread.”. We go to our Lord One on one, not listening to second or third hand reports from self-appointed “prophets”. He may not tell us what our flesh wants to hear, but He will tell us the Truth,
There are those who walk in a true prophetic anointing. When they speak, it should resonate in your spirit. Be willing to pray deeply to confirm or reject what anyone…no matter their reputation…says.
Amen to everything you say. Do have this sense that everything we see in the world today has a purpose to give everyone the opportunity to understand exactly what God wants from us? It seems to me that the utter chaos we see brings people to finally understand that it is not about our well being on earth, but more about what it means for us believers to actually serve God and be a part of His overall plan to redeem this fallen world. Considering what Paul wrote about the son of perdition in 2 Thes. 2, those preachers are operating under the influence of the spirit of antichrist. Benjamin Creame told a Baptist preacher in the UK that the so-called lagging revival in Toronto was conditioning the people to accept Maitreya. God judged that church with strong delusion because of the way the pastor & his elders sinned against Pastor Arthur Leis & Rev. Bernice Cunningham, who were personal friends of mine. My investigations into this proves what happened in Toronto, Pensacola & Lakeland was an occult invasion by Kundalini spirits. I also knew a Christian police officer, whom God told to use his police skills to investigate Todd Bentley. He told me about this after I told him God gave me discernment to recognize Bentley as a satanist. He discovered Bentley really is a satanist impersonating an evangelist. Thus, Kundalini apostasy is also greatly influencing our nation.

6- Spirit of Indifference. Churches, congregations, pastors…rarely even think about other pastors, congregations churches, let alone PRAY for them…to be healthy, thriving, blessed, and to become a praying church. Until the true body comes together rather than competing for physical growth, tithers, bigger buildings, etc… we can not, will not influence a lost culture w the love of Jesus while building our own house(s).
Good article. The spirit of pharmakia (drugs) is overtaking our country as well as the pagan god Baal with abortion. There are so many taking over that only God can stop it and set us free.

Thoughts, hearts need a complete change and a carrying the move of God beyond revival. Accepting Jesus is just the first step… the Church has failed to teach that it takes more than accepting Him to live a “Christian” life.
It is letting HIM live HIS LIFE THROUGH US… but we cannot do that without HOLY SPIRIT.. and HIS role in our lives has not been taught in the majority of the Churches… we must push beyond revival into REFORMATION in how we as Christians think. We don’t want to be bullies like the crusaders were, but we can’t stay mamby pamby Christians. Christ was “meek and mild” most of the time, but there were times He became bold and full of authority. He set the example for us to follow.
I don’t know exactly what REFORMATION looks, sounds and behaves like, but I believe if we allow Holy Spirit to be in control He will let us know when it’s time to stand up and be bold and push through to a complete REFORMATION… (I believe it is now). Boldness in LOVE.

In Israel’s history, their problems were always caused by their own sin. We must not ask God to do what He’s done, told us to do or given us authority to do. He told us to humble ourselves, James 4:10. He told us Jesus defeated all evil powers and spirits and they under His feet. We are in His body therefore they are under our feet. He told us to pull down strongholds in 2 Corinthians 10:3-4. We must pray right to pray with authority and gets answers to our prayers.

They have been attacking my husband by taking things out of context, manipulating him, accusing him of things other people did, and just conjuring up false accusations.

After reading the prayer with this article, I have a question. In the prayer, it says that we ask God to, “…cast down every principality, every power and every high and lofty thing that exalts itself against you.”
I have to ask: What did Jesus already do at the cross? He cast down every principality, every power and every high and lofty thing that exalts itself against Him – and now against us, because we are His ambassadors. As His ambassadors, when we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, we receive His Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13) – the same power that raised Jesus from death to life! This line is this prayer is asking Jesus to do what He has already finished at the cross. I pray that The Church of Jesus Christ in America will get ahold of this truth. We have lacked power in our nation, and we are seeing the results. Most of it is due to the fact that many of us are unaware of the power we have. I was one, just months ago! If you remember Dorothy in the Wizard of OZ, when she wanted to go home, the good witch told her she had the power to do it all along! We have had it too! If we want to truly make a difference in our nation, we must realize what God’s Word says about who we are (righteous) and what we have (authority) – we are kings and priests! Also, too few churches teach about the Third Baptism – the baptism that John the Baptist tells of in every single gospel. It is the baptism of fire that Jesus gives us. I agree with Greg and Mary. I believe that when a person accepts JESUS as their risen Lord & Savior, they are given power to strike down all evil. Sometimes HE calls us , not only to spiritual war with Satan, but also to physical war to keep the evil one from destroying a country and/or a human race. Amen. Yes, I noticed the same sentence of the prayer in this article ASKING God to do what Christ paid for us to have. He said I have given you Authority to cast out all evil spirits ,Matthew 10:1 and Authority to SAY to this mountain be cast to the sea not wavering in faith but believing in your heart that whatsoever you say, it will be done, Mark 11:21-24. He gave us, the church, Authority to trample on scorpions and snakes and over all the power of the enemy and nothing by any means will harm us….etc. Luke 10:19.

Father God, we so look forward to that moment when you turn to Jesus and say, IT IS TIME. We long to look up and see our redemption drawing nigh! But until that moment comes, we must continue to occupy.

What’s more disgusting than a man deliberatly starting a war and causing the deaths of thousands? To do so because he needed a headline to take away any chance that truth would come out, also to make more money for the war mongers, and part of the second reason, to pull us back into war, deploying more of our people in another country and out of ours. Here the words of David Wegener from 1983 come ringing in my ears…”it’s much easier to command foreign troops to kill Americans. A reason for troop exchanges and foreign bases.
So to continue…place all of the above in a bowl…the result of a prayer request and Your answer, to expose all satan is doing to the church for not only us, but for THE REST OF THE WORLD.

As you might think Christian’s would do…pray for deliverance. Wouldn’t that be what we would/are doing??? Praying for deliverance from a satanic government oppression??? And let me be clear, the powers that be, that are ordained of God are NOT evil ones. I studied that out, God’s leaders, Your leaders, that YOU set in office care about the people and are servants, not dictators. All others are illegitimate in this perspective but allowed depending on the disposition of the people. Look at Israel to see Gods heart..how often would You, did You desire, did You arrange for Your people to be free..but they would not.

My what if Lord??? Under any oppressive regime/ government…the people would pray for deliverance. And while the devil and evil humanity are rejoicing over other fallen countries, none would make them happier than to take down the nation of Israel and its most impressive ally (and the greatest world power) the United States. How much celebration is going on at our expence and in hope of hurting You?? And yet..say in the church in China, in other countries for that matter, Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey etc. Thinking of China, because of the genocide of their own people, the secret church meetings, the secret prayer meetings etc. What would you be praying for if you were them? what we are praying for today?? Deliverance from an oppressive satanic government, put in place, not by the will of God, or the will of the people, but by coercion, threat, force and brutality. So if they are praying this…then what would the answer be? Are they looking at America and praying. Oh God, what is happening to the strongest, richest, freest God worshipping nation in the world?? What chance have we??? If America falls? Yet, their prayers for deliverance are consumed in the midst of all our catastrophy…for now that we know how our free and fair elections are not, now that we know that the enemy is attempting to change times and seasons by a world wide takeover and now that we are aware of our sinful complacency, what will we do??? Will the Laodocean church that is America remain cold and be spewed from our almighty God’s mouth? Thus giving us understanding as to why we are not mentioned in the context of end times scripture???
All good questions Lord God…and from prayer today I got the distinct impression that our challenge to make things right here in America is nothing short of You, God, answering the prayers of saints from around the world.
I know they are praying for us…but the answer to their prayers, they nor us would have ever understood the complexity of, nor the wisdom of, what Your are doing. Do any of us? For America must not only come through this and see replaced by Your hand, this illegitimate president, but the rightful winner (good or bad he did win) but we must also tear down the high places and remove the idols from our land. We cannot do one without the other. We had the opportunity during Reagan’s term but while he was for and restored much conservative and rightful freedom, we neglected the spiritual and allowed witchcraft into the white house. So that must change.
Bottom line, the lesson of Job. God, You made a decree at the very beginning. Touch not his life…a tremendous amount happened in the next 40 chapters that followed, but be clear, when Satan had done everything else and is then attempting just that…to take Jobs life, that is WHEN you see God come on the scene. Who then, straightens all matters out.
Are You in that process? following the decree that was spoken when our nation was born. Born to glorify You and You alone??. You will have Your glory! Will You use us to answer the prayers of deliverance for the other nations of the world? Our brothers and sisters, praying their portion of Your manifold wisdom!!
I believe You are..it’s time we acted like it.
Our perspective, seated with Jesus in heavenly places, and begin seeing all that is happening, in the battle to combat evil, irradicate abortion, remove the influence of Satan…as a revival of the church being made ready. Many are having their garments made white by their own blood, for they loved not their own lives unto death. What can we do but search our own hearts, don our weapons of prayer and righteousness in Him and get in the fight.
Indeed we are not the savior of the world, but we are to be his instrument…
In Genesis, did you not say to Abraham, if 50 righteous are found? You would spare the nation..and did he not interceed until he bargained over 10?? And Moses, in Exodus and Numbers..didn’t Moses base his praying on Your interests, Your very reputation?

I’m somewhat surprised to see NO BIBLE SUPPORT for your labeling things as spirits. According to Scripture, Jezebel was a human being, Leviathan was an OT creature. HOWEVER, fear and delusion (deception?) are concepts, NOT living beings. MOREOVER, “entitlement” does not even occur in the Bible. Of course, lack of humility does — BUT it’s NOT a living being (a “spirit”).
Aren’t there enough CLEAR, incontrovertible truths in the Bible to pass on and emphasize — instead of attributing different attributes to certain things?
You seem to be trying to do a good thing — to warn believers of certain things. It’s just an awkward, non-literal, extra-biblical way. We don’t need that.
No disrespect intended, Randy but, you might want to study spiritual warfare a little deeper because every single one of these spirits can manifest in any form or fashion and every single one of these things do exist. I would add, to those younger than 70 yrs old, perhaps many of these evil spirits, and their influence just in the last 70 + years could especially be seen developing in so many ways, prior to WW II! If we look at the ” war effort” that divided families, took the sons away, fathers from their homes, women went to work, and the government took care of the children, in schools and” daycare” centers, this sowed the seeds for what is so prevalent now.
What was the end result by end of that war? Many men never returned home, nor women! Fatherless, and sometimes motherless homes were the ” new normal”! Then, great “government” programs introduced the ” homes” for all, a car in every driveway, and all kinds of recovery
efforts. Next, as the 50’s began, the children were now entering teen years with an explosion of satanic influences, think about the whole music/ dance scene offered to them! We could point to the ” Roaring 20’s” for the same evil influences then. Jezebel has been taking on many forms for centuries now!
However, for each generation of evil trying to win, Our Christian forefathers rose up, prayed, preached, taught, and stood up against the evil of the day!
And, revival occurred, Our churches grew mightily, our children learned again God Is Love, and He Loves You!
Those leading many astray into drugs, alcohol, perversions, etc. are not the ones that love anyone. Satan and his legions, have not given up, and are growing worse and more Visible in the darkness, not even caring about Light showing them and their deeds.
We Must Stand up Against the forces of evil! Each one of us can teach some one else, pray for another person, lead a Bible study with one or two, show kindness and love, and give The Reason
for our Hope, and speak of Love, Mercy, Grace, and Forgiveness . We know, Jesus Christ will be with us, Through it all! We know the end of His Story!

And then Lord, would You speak to each of us to pray without ceasing, to come to Your Word for Truth instead of the many forms of media. Would You shift our minds and hearts toward what You say, what You prophesy over America. May we submit to Your ways and thoughts unashamedly. May we obey Your Word unashamedly. May we agree that You have hedged us in under Your Psalm 91 wing. May we agree with WHO we are as Your Sons and Daughters. May we, Your Bride, come together as one faith, one body, and one baptism to thwart the plans of the enemy and declare that You are LORD! In Jesus’ holy and glorious Name, amen!
