When the President appointed a coronavirus taskforce, many on the left complained that Vice President Pence was tapped to lead it. They were verbal about their disdain for the fact that the Vice President, through prayer. sought God for solutions. However, isn’t this the approach we want our leaders to take? God is bigger than our finite minds. We need to appeal to Him for Godly solutions for our nation. Approaching the throne of God, asking him for answers, seeking mercy, wisdom, and direction is the kind of Godly leadership we have been praying for!
Let’s pray that more leaders would be so bold to seek God for solutions for our nation. May this serve as an example, and pray God delivers answers to this group about the coronavirus and may this serve as a testimony of God’s grace! Continue to pray for this group as they formulate a plan for tackling the coronavirus issue–may God deliver a great strategy!

Isn’t that heartwarming to see these men of influence in our government with bowed heads, seeking the face of Almighty God
for answers to the corona virus? He does have all the answers and I join with countless others who are equally pleased to see
a praying White House that is visible before the world. And we add our prayers to theirs as part of the body of Christ.
Thank You Lord, that You’re truly guiding these leaders who have accepted this daunting task. They are seeking You for those
answers and they know that You will certainly give them to them, because they are humbling bowing in Your presence and

Heavenly Father, thank you so much for Vice President Pence, and his dedication to seeking Your face for leadership. He is truly a Godly man, which is what we desperately need in the White House right now. Build a hedge of protection around him and his family.

I am disappointed IFA have become so political. The articles now tend to slanted. As Christians we are to be peacemakers not divisive as the climate in our country now.
There was NOTHING political in that statement. And if you read it that way, Judy Turpen, YOU are the one being political. The article praised the man for seeking God’s help when he was put in charge of a daunting task, and the photo shows people praying with him for a solution only God can give. That’s not politics, that’s faith. And last I knew, God does not have a political party… This is IFA. Just pray, and leave politics out of it.
Heavenly Father, You are our only answer. As selfish, broken humans, we tend to make things about us. But You are our Savior. We ask Your blessings on all our nation’s leadership. Thank you, Father for the blessings You will pour out on this land when Your people return to You. Amen!
Respectfully disagree Judy Yoke. President Trump had the perfect candidate to handle this crisis.
Dr. Ben Carson (a truly God-anointed medical genius) who once ran John Hopkins hospital. He has performed medical miracles (a neurosurgeon who performed the first successful separation of conjoined twins who were attached at the back of the head (occipital craniopagus twins). The operation, which took place in 1987 in Germany lasted some 22 hours and involved a 70-member surgical team (which Carson led) made him internationally known.
Dr. Ben would have been to the Coronavirus epidemic what Norman Schwarzkopf was to Desert Storm…
Maynard I hear you brother but you know David wouldn’t have been the obvious pick to take out Goliath either, right? But for some reason God’s Hand appears to be on his servant Mike Pence for this giant and we all know how God Loves to Do things in ways and with people where only He will receive the Glory! He Uses the weak to confound the strong. Maybe the world would have insisted on giving Dr Carson the Glory even when he would protest that and be seeking to give the Glory to God. Isaiah just arrests me to my knees when God Says My Ways are Higher than you’re ways and my thoughts are higher than your thoughts. Wow. I’m just praying for our brother Vice President Mike Pence to hear God’s Voice when He Speaks to him and the ones God Has Brought together with him, and I’m just so confident that God Will because he and they have humbled themselves to seek His Face and in that are confessing before the world that He Is their only Source of Wisdom and a Help. Bless you Ron and Gail. It’s interesting that you picked David for your Biblical response since God had prepared him for his appointed encounter with a giant. This wasn’t his first rodeo. “But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it. As I am typing this response my phone rang with Dave Deboius’ reminder for tomorrow’s Prayer call for the upcoming election.
Also a story came across the news that room had been made on stage (at Wednesday’s televised briefing about the virus) for Dr. Carson. Pence plus Carson = HUMILITY Squared!!!! I stand in agreement with your prayers.

Oh Heavenly Father how I thank You for the godly leadership in our nation’s capital right now! Especially for Mike Pence. We thank you they are praying and seeking You! I pray for Your blessings and protection upon them and their families, epecially President Trump’s. We ask that You would work through them to bring our nation back to repentance and back to You! Revive us Oh God and heal our land we humbly beseech You in the name of our precious Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ! To whom goes all the glory and honor forever more! Amen!
Dicipleship:
The Kingdom Advances by Discipleship not Leadership
After decades of church leadership training nothing has changed. Why? Because people are mixing Gentile leadership principles with Kingdom servanthood, creating people who are ineffective in either realm. People confuse organizational leadership with organismic service. Very little translates from leadership in business, military, politics or athletics to the Kingdom of God. Yet, in most cities there are dozens of leadership development programs who imagine they are developing world-changers for Christ. Their impact is less than the ripple-effect of a pebble in the ocean.
It is impossible to make disciples if one was never properly discipled. Yet, discipleship is how Kingdom leaders are produced. We live in a generation of undiscipled disciple-makers and fatherless spiritual fathers. Fruitless experts who have never truly led, offering courses on leadership with a syllabus full of useless information. In discipleship there is a divine reality. There is an osmosis of what one possesses. One cannot transmit what he does not have. One cannot fake the reality of the indwelling Life of Christ. One cannot pass this organic reality on to a program with interchangeable teachers or facilitators.
Discipling people unto the Son of God through relationships is the ONLY authorized method of Kingdom leadership training. In fact the word “leadership” was never mentioned by the Lord. Managerial principles may apply to effective organizational leadership but most “leadership” concepts have absolutely nothing to do with the growth of the Body of Christ. Never mistake successful organizational strategies, building programs or an increase of numbers for effective KIngdom growth. The life of Christ and transforming grace is transmitted through relationships. Discipleship is almost an osmosis process. “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven.”
Christ never commanded us to have “leadership institutes,” “discipleship programs,” or, “ministry development tracts.” Most of these notions consist of man-made paradigms of what it means to be a disciple. The principles and precepts are dead works. Such programs have the illusion of purposeful effectiveness with the demands, details, and difficulty. These activities, however, produce no fruit.
Real discipleship is more demanding and intense than any artificial structure. Programs don’t make disciples. People do. More specifically, it requires people who have relationship with Christ. It is relational. It is authentic not synthetic. It is not some impersonal cookie-cutter plan. Discipleship is not a linear program with sequential tasks to be mastered. One does not graduate. There is no Certificate which suddenly makes one a leader. Discipleship is lifelong as we press on to the mark.
Many leadership programs have come and gone over the decades. They burst on the scene with fanfare and enthusiasm. Multitudes flock to these programs, with great expectations of being equipped. But the empirical evidence reveals the ineffectiveness of such programs.
One cannot lead in the Kingdom from outside. One must pass through the eye of the needle. One can only develop leaders if he himself is rightly related with the
King. He leads from a place of union and communion. Fruitfulness is contingent on abiding in Christ.
It is time to return to what works and repent from dead works.

Praise God for Pence and his staff. The area I live in has many illegals in it. Our hospital has been overwhelmed, since 2010, with diseases they have never seen and do not know how to treat. The hospital does not publicize this to prevent public panic but everyone who has worked there has seen it. Staff have quit and moved to other areas by the dozens. We even had 20 doctors walk out. It is such a mess to have diseases brought in to this country that medical professionals do not know how to treat. Prayer could have prevented many of our problems if someone on the board of our hospital had done the very thing that Pence is doing here. Dear God, bless VP Pence for being a Daniel and continuing to pray in his open window, even though the public cries out against him. Lord, let the world see You and Your power through Pence’s act of prayer. This is a very public stage from which You can get the glory. Let many people see Your miraculous answer to Pence’s prayer so that many know You are the one true God. Let this act of prayer be what brings revival across this nation and causes many unbelievers to come to You. And show the rest of us how we can be witnesses to others during this time of panic. Help us to spread Your Word and Your plan of salvation in the same boldness that Pence has. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Father I thank you for Vice President Pence and the leaders who are gathering to seek the face of God for wisdom and knowledge and guidance in all they are doing. Let God be the leader in their lives and minds. I praise you Lord for all the men and women in this room that they consult with you in their maneuvers. We stand in prayer with them for all that they do. Devil I command you to take your hands off of the nations in this situation. I say “Let God Arise and Let our enemies be scattered.” You have no place in our nation or the nations. I pray they seek the face of God for wisdom in each and every country and the leaders seek wisdom and knowledge for their given situation. God is a healer. He and he alone has given us the power to walk in His ways. We shall walk in the power given us, and yes, heal the sick. Lift up the Lord and praise and honor Him in our place. Glory to you Lord.

Just as our Forefathers prayed, there is finally back in the White House again. I noticed President Lincoln’s picture looking on as they prayed. We know he prayed and led the country by Your Spirit. I lift all of our public officials up to You in prayer today that they will all come to a knowledge of the truth and lead by humility, and not by hostility, to lead us into unity again and not in division and hatred. I sent this picture out on my FB with a note of gratitude of first things first and a reminder of the Government resting on His shoulders…and I was unfortunately responded by a shocking response from a friend of 30 yrs ago that was so against the circle of prayer in the picture. Shocking as we are up together very close in our church. I am weeping this morning for my sister in Christ and America, as she said it should only be in the church for this to happen and of course this is so not what I align up with. After private messenger with her respectfully was able to find out there were many wounds in her heart toward the Church and in her background to the point that she has gone to a Universal Church and said the Bible is not the inerrant Word of the Lord, etc. All to say, I’m a weeping follower of Christ, (inside and outside the brick and mortar)this morning and so thankful for those here that are standing and trusting and interceding for ALL. As Moses was FaceTime with God all the time leading the grumbling the complaining millions through the wilderness only foreshadows where we are at today….so goes our Leadership facedown to intercede for our beloved country. God always leads us who love and obey Him Triumphantly!!! Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Standing in the GAP with Christ for ALL too!

The Queen of Sheba came a far distance to listen to Solomon’s wisdom but You Father sent One greater , with all wisdom, Your only begotten Son, Jesus, as an example that we may live by.
