The federal government failed to enforce the law at the border and the states are standing up. Their unity might finally bring about change.
From The Center Square. President Joe Biden has faced heavy criticism over the surge in illegal immigration since he took office, and now a coalition of states has formed to challenge the president on the issue.
So far, 26 governors have signed on to the creation of the “Border Strike Force,” a coalition of state leaders working together to fight Mexican cartels and to slow the massive spike in illegal immigration since early last year.
“What happens at our nation’s Southern Border impacts every single community in America,” said Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, who recently joined the coalition. “While President Biden largely ignores my colleagues and my proposals to secure our border and protect our communities, we are going to continue to be proactive in addressing these pressing issues. … Our ultimate goal is to improve public safety, protect victims from horrific crimes, reduce the amount of drugs in our communities, and alleviate the humanitarian crisis at the Southern Border.”
The move comes after the Biden administration’s decision to lift Title 42, a Trump-era immigration rule that allowed border agents to more easily expel illegal immigrants to prevent the spread of COVID-19 into the U.S….
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has acknowledged there will be an increase in illegal immigration because of the removal of Title 42.
The states signed on so far include Idaho, Arizona, Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Alaska, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming….

Father we pray that the heartless leaders in the federal government see with clarity what their inaction has done to impact o so many. When the so called presidents press secretary won’t even acknowledge any responsibility by Washington for the crisis they’ve created at the southern border and across America. The U S government is in charge of facilitating human trafficking. It’s past time we stand against demons. Pray for veils be lifted and shackled leaders be freed from demonic influences.
Father, I pray for the states who have joined together to solve this problem. May they have provision to thwart the administration’s plans to do nothing. Protect the communities in these states. Protect the innocent children, free those who are sex or labor slaves, close the border to the illegal drugs pushed by the drug cartels. We ask that you would close the border to these things. May the hearts of your people cry out to you for this problem that it may stop and the criminal element be discovered and turned away.
2 Peter 2:4-10 For if God did not spare the angels when they sinned, but cast them deep into hell, placing them in chains of darkness to be held for judgment; if He did not spare the ancient world when He brought the flood on its ungodly people, but preserved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, among the eight; if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction, reducing them to ashes as an example of what is coming on the ungodly; and if He rescued Lot, a righteous man distressed by the depraved conduct of the lawless (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)— if all this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.
You are Almighty God, righteous in all Your ways. The ungodly cannot hide from You and we who love You, desire to be under Your watchful eye at all times. Father, You see the suffering at the border. You see the misery and torment flourishing at the hands of the lawless. I pray it pleases You to provide abundantly for the 26 states who have committed to help. I pray there will be 25 more, including DC. We serve You, the Most High God, the One God who knows how to rescue the godly from trials. The One God who knows how to deal with the unrighteous. I thank You in the Name of Jesus Christ, who saves us from eternal damnation. Amen
