Father, thank You for the faith of Bukayo Saka. We pray that his faith would spill out into all England and the rest of the world as he plays in the World Cup.

Within the secular environment of the World Cup and the anti-Christian environment of Qatar, Bukayo Saka is giving glory to God.

From Fox News. For any soccer player, the first time representing their country at the World Cup can be a whirlwind of emotions to say the least.

Let the IFA community know how to pray for you.

England’s Bukayo Saka is one of many that graced the pitch in Qatar wearing their country’s uniform for the first time. It can be an overwhelming situation for veterans and rookies alike, with immense amounts of pressure from coaches, fans that made the trip east, and especially everyone watching back at home.

But Saka has found his own way to deal with the emotions and nerves of playing in his first World Cup: Putting faith in God.

Saka has said that he reads the Bible every night and that hasn’t changed in Qatar.

“Yeah, I’ve been continuing to do that out here with my Bible every night. For me, it’s really important to, obviously, have the presence of God in me all the time,” he told reporters in Qatar recently. …

Relaxation through religion has worked for Saka, whose impact for England has allowed them to reach the quarterfinals. …

Are you encouraged by Saka’s faith? If so, share this article with your friends and family to encourage them!

Too bad that England will not be going to the semifinals but the Lord will be with him. His parents are from Southern Nigeria and his first name means add to happiness. He is a strong committed Christian. May the Lord bless him.

Lord I ask that you will bless and encourage this young man as he makes a concerted stand for you by sharing his faith so openly and that his witness of You will speak volumes to his team players, coaches and others who hear him as he speaks You Lord Jesus
