I Prayed have prayed
Reading Time: 2 minutes

Pray that God would give our lawmakers insight and guidance and that our elected officials would ask the Lord for common sense solutions to our problems.

Common sense and success belong to me. Insight and strength are mine. (Pr 8:14 NLT)

“‘Sound practical judgment that is independent of specialized knowledge, training, or the like; normal native intelligence.’ — Dictionary.com’s definition of common sense.

Sometimes what used to be called ‘common sense’ can seem radical in Washington, which is used to practicing senseless policies and funding programs that don’t work.

Immigration is a perfect example. Everyone says the system is broken. There have been no substantive policy changes since the ‘60s, but until last week few had put forth a sensible and credible plan for fixing what ails it.

Thanks to Sens. Tom Cotton, Arkansas Republican, and David Perdue, Georgia Republican, we now have a plan worthy of serious consideration, even implementation. Last week, they introduced legislation that, according to USA Today, that would ‘overturn the rules for becoming an American citizen and cut in half the number allowed in.’

There are three keys to their proposal. The first is that people seeking to immigrate to America must possess skills qualifying them for a job, or have a job waiting so they would not become part of our bloated welfare and dependency culture.

The second key concerns numbers and the goal of eliminating chain migration.

No nation can maintain its character without controlling its borders. . . .

Key number three is language. It isn’t difficult for immigrants to learn enough English to function in America. . . . Under current policy, noncitizens don’t have to take an English test if they are 50 years old or older, and have lived in the U.S. as permanent residents for at least 20 years. If someone has lived in America for 20 years and still can’t speak English, doesn’t that suggest a problem?

The Cotton-Perdue measure would also eliminate the Green Card Lottery, which, in an effort to add diversity to the country, grants 50,000 green cards each year to countries that don’t normally send many immigrants to the U.S. . . .

President Trump says he will sign a bill containing the Cotton-Perdue language, but as with so much else in dysfunctional Washington, its success will depend on whether Congress has any common sense left to do something that is transparently necessary and will benefit the country. I am in agreement with Proverbs 8:14. Leviticus 19:33-34 When an alien lives with you in your land, do not mistreat him. The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt. I am the LORD your God. Matthew 25:35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you invited me in. Hebrew 13:2 Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it. You are to allot it as an inheritance for yourselves and for the aliens who have settled among you and who have children. You are to consider them as native-born Israelites; along with you they are to be allotted an inheritance among the tribes of Israel. Zechariah 7: 9-10 “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the alien or the poor. In your hearts do not think evil of each other.’ Jeremiah 7: 5-7 If you really change your ways and your actions and deal with each other justly, if you do not oppress the alien, the fatherless or the widow and do not shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not follow other gods to your own harm, then I will let you live in this place, in the land I gave your forefathers for ever and ever. God bless America. In Jesus name!

Thank you Lord for what you are doing in this country and in the people who works toward making America great again.
This subject is very delicate, there’s is a need for a reform and I just ask you to guide the people who are making this new bill to give them wisdom and to look at your word to see what do you say about foreigners.
I pray in Jesus Name!

In the day and age in which we live, immigration has to be put on hold.
Based on those from Islamic nations who come here saying “‘this is how we did it in our country” has to be put in its place. And all the other ideology they bring with them.
I feel that The United States of America is becoming something that I do not recognize anymore.
It seems like the Tower of Babel. Islam is the talk and Islam is demanding that we do this or that.
The young girl who placed a Hijab on Statue of Liberty, was a slap in the face. She was promoting Islam and that needs to stop. Let’s send her to any nation where Islam is promoted and leave her there.
Mexico, how is it that there are so many beautiful places there and the folks coming here are not willing to make their country great. Think that those in leadership need to get their act together and do good to the people, if not, hold these leaders accountable and remove them if necessary, they seem to be the problem.
I Love The United States of America and will do all I can to keep it that way.
Thankful to our founding fathers for their wisdom and seeking the God of The Bible. Yep, The God of The Bible, not Islam, Buddha or any other god.
They are false god’s,do not belong here.
Praying for revival here in America.

Pray that those who oppose the wisdom of God Almighty are removed immediately and replaced with patriots who will listen to Spirit of the Eternal Lord. Pray only Christians are brought in from the mid East as refugees.

THAT IS GOOD! IT IS COMMON SENSE TO ME. WE CANNOT TAKE CARE OF THE WHOLE WORLD! WE CAN BE AN EXAMPLE TO THE WHOLE WORLD THOUGH THROUGH OUR EXAMPLE OF JUST DOING WHAT IS RIGHT FOR OUR NATION. WE NEED TO SET A GOOD EXAMPLE!
