“Retired Gen. John F. Kelly has survived combat. The question now is whether he can survive as White House chief of staff.
The answer will be determined in part by challenges faced by every chief of staff, but most importantly by the personal relationship Kelly has with his boss — the president of the United States.
When I became White House chief of staff in 1994, President Bill Clinton was concerned about some of the same difficulties confronting this president — too little discipline, competing centers of power, a weak chain of command, haphazard access to the Oval Office, leaks and a lack of focus on a unified message or priorities. The key, however, was that Clinton recognized these problems and wanted to correct them for the sake of the country and his presidency. . . .”

But success or failure is not just dependent on the chief of staff; it also hinges on the willingness and support of the president. Dear Father God, what great troubles our country and the world face! Truly the prophecies of Ezekiel are coming to pass. But You have each of us here for a reason. I agree with all the wonderful prayers others have offered here. And would ask dear Lord, that you grant General Kelly favor with President Trump, that the strengths and wisdom You have given to him will be evident to the President, and be valued highly. Because General Kelly understands the purpose of rank, and the neccessity of order, things You have established, please now oversee his heart and his actions, his intentions and his plans as he serves You, the President, and the people of this country. May You give him insight into how the President thinks, and his objectives. May General Kelly not take offence at the attitudes or personality of the President. Enable him to avoid unneccessary head butting, and such rancor. Remember how great our need is for You, and give us all Your peace as we rest in You and Your power. May General Kelly come to place his life in Your hands, and fill him please dear Lord, with Your Holy Spirit. Thank You wonderful Savior.

Close to your taking of the White House Chief of Staff position, my prayer partner and I prayed for a mentor for the President. One whose counsel he would greatly respect. I believe you are just that man. I was thrilled when you were installed. God is with you: just as so many times in the past, he will never fail you, nor forsake you.

Praying for General Kelly that he will have the guts to stand up for what is right. That he will be dedicated to honesty and the fear of Jehovah first and then to the president. Praying for Jehovah’s blessing on him with wisdom and honor. But with this blessing comes a curse, if he should cease to do what is honorable in the sight of the LORD that the curses of Psalm 140 will fall upon him.
vs 8 -Do not grant the wicked their desires LORD, do not let their plans succeed.
vs 9 – Those who surround him, (the president) proudly rear their heads, may the mischief of their lips engulf them.
May General Kelly come to know the freedom and love and security that is found ONLY in Jesus Christ.
Eph 6 – For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but they are MIGHTY through Jehovah, to the pulling down of strongholds and everything that exalts itself against HIM.

President Clinton was elected with 36% of the votes one term and 33% the other because there were three parties running. It was the first time i was ever truly ashamed to be an American.
Lord i would ask that You would personally give General Kelley the wisdom for this office that he needs. I pray for our President that he would have support from all sides to redeem our country from radical anti Constitutional agendas from his predecessors. Make all crooked roads straight before him dear Lord, and please bless the works of his hands, in Jesus name, Amen
