The Senate agreed via voice vote to send a bipartisan deal funding the whole [Department of Homeland Security] except for President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement and border security efforts to the House for consideration.

The Senate vote follows GOP leaders endorsing a two-track approach to funding DHS on Wednesday, with President Trump giving lawmakers a hard deadline to end the record-breaking funding lapse.
The Senate bill accomplishes the first phase of the plan by working with Democrats to fund as much of DHS as possible on a bipartisan basis. However, it would zero out funding for ICE and much of the Border Patrol, save for $11 billion in customs funding going to the agency. Additionally, $10 billion teed up for ICE won’t be funded under the measure.
This development highlights a growing divide in Washington over immigration enforcement and border security. While lawmakers have moved to fund most of DHS operations, the exclusion of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and key Border Patrol resources has raised concerns among Republicans and many Americans who view border security as a critical national priority.

This is not what American voters want. Illegal immigration has to stop. Those here illegally and those illegals committing crimes must be deported. Funding for ICE and border patrol agents; border monitoring and protection must be provided. No Nation allows their borders to be wide open for anyone to come through. Those in Congress who are fighting against this funding are not standing for the welfare of America or the safety and protection of Americans. I pray that God will shutdown these rogue congressional members and reinstate funding as originally intended. I pray that President Trump vetoes this takeover attempt by democrats and republican members. Enough! Lord, bring the funding and mission of DHS to reflect Your will and agenda.

Dear fellow believers and prayer watchmen and women – Could it be that the following verses at least in part explain why we are seeing such an evil compromise proposed in congress over this matter?
From Psalm 106:
34 “They did not destroy the peoples,
As the Lord commanded them,
35 But they mingled with the nations
And learned their practices,
36 And served their idols,
Which became a snare to them.
37 They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons,
38 And shed innocent blood,
The blood of their sons and their daughters,
Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan;
And the land was polluted with the blood.
39 Thus they became a unclean in their practices,
And played the harlot in their deeds.
40 Therefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against His people
And He abhorred His inheritance.
41 Then He gave them into the hand of the nations,
And those who hated them ruled over them.”
How can they say they are funding Homeland Security with removing funding to protect our own borders?! Additionally with cutting funding for ICE giving green lights for nefarious illegals whom ICE has sought out, is a signal to any enemies they are now welcome to stay and continue their anti-American behavior here. I’ve lived in 4 other countries and can’t imagine I could just presumptuously march in there waving an American flag demanding that they give me housing and medical care.
As for the claim that Democrats will come to an agreement with Republicans about this later, if they can’t do it with the pressure of a government shut down hanging over their heads what makes them think there will be a change of heart later? Lord, have mercy on our divided country. Do not let those calling evil good, and good evil prevail. Give us all, especially our leaders, a deeper conviction of sin and a more thorough spirit of repentance that brings us back to the unity of one nation under God.
I agree for wisdom unity and righteous leadership and that decree will get rid of a bunch of those politicians who are causing stupid divisiveness and unrighteousness in our land. We call that and those who support and will fight for that into a position in both parties who will work together for good. We call this and them into place at the polls in November.
Dear Father, You are the only One Who can fix the mess that America finds itself today. And we know the reason is because we have forsaken You, our First Love, and allowed sin to reign over every aspect of our lives. Lord, I pray for The Great Awakening we have been wanting and praying for a very long time. I trust You, and You only, to help bring severe correction to this country and their leaders. I thank You how You have used our current President Trump to fight for what You stand for and please help us to be in unity behind the common sense decisions he has been making for this country. He is only one man and He is not god and knows it. Lord, until we ask for repentance and a turn around in Washington,, D.C. I believe You will allow this strife to continue.
