The abortion pill is dangerous, far more so than the mainstream media would have you believe. According to Live Action, the two-pill regimen works as follows:
The woman visits an abortion clinic or doctor’s office and ingests pills containing Mifepristone (also known as RU-486) at the clinic. This drug blocks the action of the hormone called “progesterone,” which is naturally produced by the mother’s body to enable the mother to sustain and nourish the pregnancy. When RU-486 blocks progesterone, the lining of the mother’s uterus breaks down, cutting off blood and nourishment to the baby, who then dies inside the mother’s womb. Twenty-four to forty-eight hours later, the woman ingests another drug called Misoprostol (also called Cytotec), administered orally or vaginally, which causes contractions and bleeding to expel the baby from the womb.
It is this first pill, Mifepristone, that is on the chopping block before the Supreme Court today. Will the justices reverse the FDA’s changes?

FACT: ABORTION DRUGS HAVE BEEN AVAILABLE SINCE APPROVAL IN 2000 AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE AVAILABLE AFTER THE CASE IS HEARD
The case, Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine (AHM) v. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), challenges the FDA’s more recent expansion of the drug mifepristone (Mifeprex). AHM Plaintiffs are represented by Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF).
The FDA’s more recent expansions of the drug occurred when the FDA moved away from the required in-person visits to obtain the pills (where medical professionals would likely provide more comprehensive medical assessments or examinations prior to prescribing the pills), to approving the dispensing of abortion drugs virtually, by mail, or at the pharmacy counter — where little to no time would be spent evaluating the client.
In AHM’s abortion pill lawsuit, “The Court is reviewing the FDA’s recklessness in removing nearly all its original safety standards for the use of abortion drugs to the detriment of women’s health and safety. Regardless of the outcome, abortion drugs will remain available in the United States. We are simply asking the Court to reinstate the original standards that were in effect for over 15 years,” Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Counsel Erik Baptist told Live Action News. …
FACT: THE FDA REMOVED ESSENTIAL SAFEGUARDS FOR THE ABORTION PILL
AHM’s brief claimed that the “FDA’s removal of safeguards for abortion drugs was arbitrary, capricious, an abuse of discretion, and otherwise unlawful.” …
According to ADF, the FDA’s 2000 approval identified as essential that:
- Women must be seven weeks pregnant or less to take the drugs;
- Women must have at least three in-person doctor visits to prevent severe and even life-threatening complications;
- A doctor must prescribe the drugs; and
- A doctor must report all complications women suffer from the drugs.
AHM’s abortion pill lawsuit is asking the Supreme Court to reinstate “essential safeguards” put in place on the abortion pill in a safety system called REMS by the FDA prior to 2016, when the FDA chose to “eliminate the requirement that prescribers report all serious adverse events,” AHM claimed in its brief. …
… The FDA’s changes, according to AHM, “increased the risk that more women taking abortion drugs will need emergency care” in three ways:
- The FDA “increased the gestational-age limit from seven to ten weeks” where the “‘failure rate’ climbs from roughly 2 to 7 percent, as confirmed by FDA’s label.”
- The “FDA’s removal of the Day 14 in-person follow-up visit” will “naturally result[] in more women report[ing] to the emergency room.’”
- The FDA’s decision to end the “requirement that licensed doctors prescribe and provide ongoing care to women using abortion drug” results — as the FDA concedes — in “OB/GYNs, OB/GYN hospitalists, and emergency room doctors like Respondents ‘who must manage the aftermath.’” …
FACT: ABORTION DRUG LABEL SUGGESTS POTENTIAL RISKS
AHM has claimed in its brief that abortion pill-related emergency room visits are estimated to be in the tens of thousands, based on published percentages for ER visits on the drug’s 2023 label which state that “2.9 to 4.6 percent of women who take abortion drugs end up in the emergency room.” …
MYTH 2: “This case could take abortion drugs off the market.”
TRUTH: SCOTUS is not considering the drug’s approval, which means it won’t be taken off the market. We’re asking for the restoration of basic safety standards the FDA illegally removed, like in-person doctor visits.

In addition, AHM claimed that the FDA’s medication guide acknowledges that as many as seven percent (7%) of women will need surgery after taking mifepristone ‘to stop bleeding’ or to complete the abortion.
“FDA’s current label for mifepristone continues to require a Black Box warning because the drug can cause ‘[s]erious and sometimes fatal infections and bleeding’… It also directs women to emergency rooms if one of many adverse complications arise,” AHM wrote in the brief. …

May Father God lead the Supreme Court to reinstate the essential safety requirements for these pills Eventually may the pills be removed from the market in Jesus’s Name. May the women who take these pills realize that a baby is a life already and all that is needed is time to develop and be born. Praying that the women will now be evaluated and informed before they take the steps of using these dangerous medicines. Praying that God will save their eternal souls.
Oh Lord, it’s so obvious this country we live in is becoming more and more corrupt and lawless when it comes to killing the born and unborn. As believers, we know Satan rules minds of many Americans. Please guide the minds of the Supreme Court with Godly wisdom to hold the strength and honor the ones who cannot think for themselves!
It all, again, boils down to: do we believe life begins at conception? If we do, how can we possibly feel the abortion pill is okay? How can anyone look at a sonogram and not believe that is a real being? We must protect those who cannot speak for themselves. Father, please protect these babies that are not yet born, from man’s selfishness and fear. Guide and direct the FDA to make the right decision. We do not need these on the open market at all; but especially where anyone can take a life, upon an impulse, and live to regret it for the rest of their lives. Help women and girls to get educated on how life is created and how they need to change their own lives. They cannot have casual sex thinking that if they get pregnant their is an “easy out”. Lord, we need You to intervene please!

We come before You, Almighty God we come seeking You for intervention in the defeat of this bill , show us Your Glory change the hearts and thinking of our Supreme Court Justices that You would restore to them a value for LIFE, that they would have a Godly value for life. You are the creator of all LIFE and we ask for Your hand of protection on the creation, for protection of women who may consider this alternative and most important we pray for a younger generation to be protected from this lie. Raise up a generation of teens who will know You, Love You and serve You. Show us Your glory Lord for we are dependent upon You. We can only Seek, Knock and Ask. We wait for Your Mercy as You do great things in the minds, hearts and lives of people and in all who rule over a country. SHOW US YOUR GLORY LORD, RENEW THEM IN OUR DAY.
O Father, I ask that you would touch the heart of each justice with the need to protect women and babies. Open people’s eyes and help them embrace truth. We pray for the justices that as they study this issue, they would have understanding about the harm this pill is doing to women themselves as they take it.
Lord, steer both the hearts & minds of the SC justices to protect both the woman & unborn child. This is not simply about a woman’s “perceived right to choose”…it’s about protecting women from a drug that can result in their death as well as the death of their unborn child. Give wisdom to the justices – guide them to protect everyone involved. We decree that the spirit of the “culture of death” will be removed from them. Amen.
The main point here is that a preborn infant is put to death – in this case, via drugs. Any prolife person must recognize this and stand against it.
Father God, creator and giver of all life, praying that the blinders will be removed from the hearts and minds of those who choose to deny the lives of our most innocent unborn children. Acceptance of abortion…a generic word for child murder… is the result of post-modernism, which is a nihilistic world

It is a plague brought by the so-called “Enlightenment” which began with the Descartes and the Rationalists’ attempt to discover what man could know and how he could know that he knew it and ended with Nietzsche’s BEYOND GOOD AND EVIL. The political form was totalitarianism…communism, fascism and naziism, and is now known as “progressivism”. Its results were foreseen by Orwell in his book “1984” which is a guide for the entire Washington establishment, the handmaidens of the globalists headquartered in Europe. Postmodernism is at war with reality which is why it favors perversion, the elimination of gender, and relentless attacks in history and even math (remember that in “1984”, 2 + 2 = 5…or whatever the Party said it equaled). because it came in as a Trojan horse, disguised as “fairness” and fooled women 50 years ago that the most unnatural, perverse thing imaginable, the murder of one’s own child, was a positive thing. Progressives want as many abortions as possible because it fools them into thinking they are gods (holding the power of life and death) and forces women who have had abortions to defend what they did rather than face the horror of infanticide. Lord, we bind the forces of evil that will be present there today from interfering in the process of correcting the gross crime that the FDA has committed by taking away the safeguards to the abortion pill. Lord, & when this is corrected, please cause it to lead to the outlawing of this horrendous act of murder, in Jesus’ name! Amen!
Father God, I lift up the 9 Justices by name: Chief Justice John Roberts & Associate Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, Amy Coney Barrett, and Ketanji Brown Jackson. Your Word says, in Deuteronomy 16:18 GNT “Appoint judges and other officials in every town that the Lord your God gives you. These men [and women] are to judge the people impartially. Father, remove ideology from their assessment and show the truth of the facts that are overwhelming. Let the lawyers of life argue facts and truth like Paul argued successfully before King Agrippa (Acts 26). Use even the Clerks of the Justices to advise in righteousness as you used Pilate’s wife (Matthew 27:19). Give justice to your people by correcting the wrong done by the enemy through the FDA. In Jesus Name, Amen.

This is another example of Big Pharma going after profit, disregarding safety and human consequences. Lord please cause the Supreme Court members to understand the cost of these decisions. They will be preying on desperate women. Help them to understand the medical side of the argument. Lord You have changed the minds of kings, surely you can cause the Supreme Court to make sound decisions in accordance with Your Word! Please open the eyes of the women who would consider such an option, help them to understand it isn’t as simple as it seems. Cause the truth to be shouted from the rooftops. Thank You in advance for Your answers, You are faithful!
Lord Jesus, please, by your grace, give the justices of SCOTUS guidance and wisdom in rendering this decision. Give them integrity and courage to do the right thing , in accordance with Your will. Thank you, Jesus
Father God, our Creator, please open the eyes of this nation to the dangers of this drug. Please let the truth be seen. Though this case does not remove this horrific pill, a win in this case will restore safeguards for some pregnancies and the safety of these women who are taking them and not realizing the detrimental effects to their bodies. Please let there be a public outcry…please let more people speak out who have already suffered from the side effects of this so called safe medication.

Lord you defend the defenseless and fight for the fatherless. We ask you today, Mighty God, to take up your garments of war on behalf of the innocent who are being marched to their deaths by the very ones charged to protect them. Cause SCOTUS to hear the reasons for these safeguards to be put back in place and agree with sound reasoning. Open the hearts of our justices to decide in favor of replacing proper restrictions on the use and prescribing of RU-486. It is but one small step in protecting lives so we pray for victory.

Dear Father and Almighty God, nothing is hidden from You. As You hear our prayers, may this be the acceptable time for Justices Roberts, Thomas, Alito, Sotomayor, Kagan, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, Coney Barrett and Jackson. May they hear these arguments as You do, in truth I pray their ruling is unanimous and it exceeds the expectations of these men and women who fight for the lives of the unborn, make every one an ambassador for Christ. I pray for each woman contemplating abortion, in all forms. May they be filled with the knowledge of Christ and their decision is formed by You and You hear, help and save, both mother and child. I am pleading on Christ’s behalf for everyone involved in this case and all who are considering abortion. May each one be reconciled to You, The God of Life. Amen
The pill is the product of a company owned by Justice Savannah’s accuser’s spouse. She also did the phycological evaluation on its use! Her accusation and testimony was faked to try and keep anti-abortion views off the court so the drug could move forward!
