While cancel culture and censorship are nothing new, they are now starting to harm even humorous satire sites and those who simply believe in biological genders.
From Just the News. The Babylon Bee has been locked out of its Twitter account for a March 16 tweet riffing on USA Today including America’s highest-ranking transgender federal official in its “Women of the Year” list.
“The Babylon Bee’s Man of the Year is Rachel Levine,” read a caption in the offending tweet beneath a photo of the Biden administration assistant secretary of health.
The censoring of the Christian satire site with 1.3 million followers is just the latest example of a social media giant putting a thumb on the scale of American discourse on gender and public health.
The action drew the attention of congressional Republicans.
“The Babylon Bee can’t tweet. But the Kremlin can,” Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan tweeted.
“Twitter hates comedy, truth and free speech,” Texas Sen. Ted Cruz tweeted. “And it hates the American People, because they refuse to be docile sheep.”

When Editor-in-Chief Kyle Mann sarcastically speculated the Bee would get better treatment if it acted like China, Twitter locked him out as well. Both notifications cited the platform’s bans on “hateful conduct.”
“One of the jobs of the satirist is to poke holes in the popular narrative, but Twitter’s rigging the system so you can only promote it,” Mann wrote in a New York Post op-ed between lockouts. “This makes it difficult, if not impossible, to use comedy to speak truth to power.”
Twitter does not consistently draw a line on referring to transgender individuals by their biological sex. The platform is full of tweets that “deadname” and depict former University of Pennsylvania men’s swim team member William Thomas, who is now dominating women’s swimming as Lia Thomas under NCAA rules.
His name is William Thomas. He is a failed male swimmer. So he devised a scheme to subvert Title IX of the Civil Rights Act by “identifying” as a woman. This loophole basically nullifies Title IX and destroys women’s sports. Where are the feminists? The media? Pathetic. pic.twitter.com/DCdGTI8xHV

A smaller tech platform apparently took similar offense at criticism of gender ideology last week, locking the Women’s Liberation Front (WoLF) out of its “Fifty States for Sex-Based Rights” fundraiser to pay for lobbying activities.
The gender-critical radical feminist group showed Just the News the notification it received from Givebutter Thursday. The crowdfunding platform “immediately” disabled WoLF’s account and deactivated the fundraiser 24 hours later, pledging to distribute “available payouts.”
Givebutter implied WoLF violated the terms of its payment processor, Stripe, possibly as a “restricted business.” One of those categories is “crowdfunding.”
Executive Director Mahri Irvine told Just the News that WoLF assumes “their decision was related to our work on women’s rights,” given the vagueness of the notice. She said Tuesday that Givebutter has yet to respond to its appeal. Givebutter didn’t respond to queries….
Twitter didn’t answer Just the News queries about the spate of lockouts and “unsafe” warnings, but it reportedly released a statement saying the Babylon Bee would have to “delete the violative Tweet before regaining access to their account.”
Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon has refused to delete the tweet but didn’t answer Just the News on how the company would respond to Twitter’s action….

Giggling just a little. I myself, a nearly retired working 64-year-old gave some money to the Canadian Freedom. Their group leader started in prayer and led in prayer. In Canada, our northern neighbor-they can freeze your accounts, take your children and even your pets if they decide they don’t like your speech. I literally just gave to a group that was supplying money for gas. Those big trucks use a lot of gas. Trudeau in his wisdom said all that money raised would go to a better use. I don’t want him deciding how my money goes. The group is trying to get the money refunded . The Canadian Freedom Convoy leader’s group sent a memo they are trying to refund the money or be allowed themselves to decide how to distribute it.
The deceiver endlessly ties up good peoples energy.
I giggled and told my daughters: your mother is an international criminal now.
And now the useful pearl- stop using the enemies platforms and payment schemes, or if you feel using reaches otherwise I reached, go for it, but offer BOTH.
I know there are faith based donation platforms and I will not donate no matter how compelling the fundraiser unless they are on that sort of platform .that way I know very little money will go to overhead and it will get where it was intended.
That is the reality of these days. We are called to grow up and be mature and learn discernment.
Shame on me if you fool me twice.

Satan can’t handle criticism. It doesn’t fit his agenda and he doesn’t understand people who refuse to live in fear. He goes about looking like a roaring lion seeking who he may destroy. But when the real lion begins to roar, he cannot shut it up.

No rational thought or speech allowed. No disagreement allowed if the new age American Communists have their way. Why are they afraid of free discourse? Oh, I forgot..no freedom allowed in the New Dystopia, America.
We might as well be living in China as far as propaganda and censorship are now going here in the U.S. This is “The Emperor’s New Clothes” 24/7 and we are all expected/required to play along and say we see what we don’t see, and that something is true that is clearly not true (men are women and women are men) – but no one has the courage to say so or if they do they are quickly punished and silenced as an example to anyone else who would dare to speak truth in the face of lies. Truth is the antidote to all this madness – the truth will set us all free and God’s eternal truth is what sets our souls free for eternity. God is our only hope – His living Word stands true for all time – even in this post-truth culture. You’d think even people on the Left would figure this out.
